Hi,is it possible to display nothing in this column like Excel instead of this useless value? In the column I have DBNull.I tried setting the default value to “” (without quotes) or DBNull in the Column setting in the SQL Table Editor component but with no luck.
We complete variance explanations each quarter, and each business unit has different thresholds that require explanation. Is there a way to apply different thresholds within the report based on the selected business unit using the conditional formatting? I would like to flag it red only but I can’t figure out how to do by business unit using the same report.Users are prompted to select their business unit when they run the variance report. This is what I currently have, but it applies the same threshold to all companies:If (CellAmount > 50000) Then ExcelTextColor = Red, ReportTextColor = Red, TextColor = RedElse If (CellAmount < -50000) Then ExcelTextColor = Red, ReportTextColor = Red, TextColor = RedEnd If
We have an excel export item that loops through several entities and uses the entity names through Loop1Variable as the output.Unfortunately, some entity names are longer than the 30 characters excel tab names are limited to.Is there a function/formula that can be used to limit the Loop1Variable to 30 characters?
Hi,I’ve had an issue trying to use parameters to retrieve both names and descriptions of entities in Excel using a parameter.I use a Member List parameter with a filter of entities. In Excel, if I tick ‘Description’, sometimes I get only descriptions; and sometimes I get both names and descriptions, which is the desired behavior (the client wants to be able to choose entity by their names, and I need the code in the parameter to make the XFGetCell formulas work). Is there any option here I’m not aware of?I’ve found a solution, which is to create a XFBR rule that feeds a Delimited List parameter with strings including both name and description. It works fine. But I’d like to make sure I didn’t miss something obvious here.
Hi I am trying to build a Genesis dashboard wherein for BI viewer the data source i have taken is cube view , I can not see the toolbar to create a chart or graph after giving source of CV.
Hi Team,Is there any update on enabling dropdown menus for multiple fields within the Table View? For example, if a user clicks a cell in the "Payment Type" field, it should display a relevant list for selection. Similarly, in the same table, the "Payment Card" field should display its own relevant list.Prior to LIM, I believe this list option was limited to a single field, achieved via the EnableStatus column functionality. However, when reviewing the LIM Tableview via Spread, it appears there is now a way to enable dropdowns for multiple fields.Could you please explain how this is achieved in LIM? Additionally, is there any documentation available on how to configure this for a user-defined tableview?Best regards,Sudhakar S
I have tried multiple ways:Literal Perameters, Column Formatting, Data formattingto try to format GridView cells.I have some decimal data coming over. it is formatted as $#,###,0;($#,###,0);$0I cannot get it to Horizontal Align Center, Negative Text = Red. Our RCM Admin (not local) doesn’t have permission to update the reconciliation attributes. I read that it depends on her workflow access. Is this correct? Will she need to be a member of all of the workflow maintenance groups since she needs to be able to update any reconciliation attributes? If so, is there an easy way to add RCM Admin to all workflow maintenance groups? Thanks!
Hi all, I've been playing with this feature for a bit and it would appear that if you've made a cube view connection to a CV that contains parameters based on "Member Dialog", those parameters don't seem to work as expected. The resulting worksheet does create a space for those parameters but in the cell where you would select your member, there is no dropdown available to open and choose. The cell is completely blank. Upon refresh, I am prompted for those member dialog parameters but even the result I choose is not returned to display on the sheet. Doesn't seem to be any issues if the parameter is based on a Member Filter. Am I doing something wrong or is the use of Member Dialog parameters in Excel add-in simply not possible? There is nothing in the existing documentation that I can find that discusses this. Attaching a screen capture of the Excel results:
I am trying to figure out how to make the Header Format in a Cube View connected through Excel the same as the formatting when running the Cube View in Data Explorer. When I run in Data Explorer, I have a row that displays correctly as “11-50”, which is the member name description. But in Excel when I run the Cube View, that row displays as “Nov-50”. Is there way to get that to display as “11-50” when viewing the Cube View in Excel?
Hello OneStream team,As part of IFRS 18 implementation changes, we have the following requirement.Separate P/L reports needs to be maintained as per IFRS and Non-IFRS. Separate S/4 Account to OneStream mapping needs to be maintained as per IFRS and Non-IFRS .For point no 1, we are planning to create alternative hierarchy in OneStream and share the base accounts. based on alternative hierarchy, separate report will be created as per IFRS and Non IFRSFor point no 2, is it possible to create a separate transformation mapping rule based on time. for eg. upto 2025 period 09, it should follow the mapping as per old mapping and effective from 2025 period 10 it should follow as per IFRS.Please advise if there is any other solution to this.Regards,Gaurav
The newest release (9.1) of OneStream introduces the Alias property for just about all of the dimensions. The only place so far where I have found the Alias as being useful is in search. I have not been able to figure out the correct syntax to be able to use the alias in Cube Views, Quick Views or any business rule. My guess is that we are going to have to create a custom business rule that will allow us to call the Alias name and present in a viewable format. Does anyone have an example of where they have been able to display an Alias value in a Cube View or Quick view instead of displaying the default member name and/or description?
I have a requirement to build a Cube view with 4 Years of Forecast Periods (48 Months) in rows comparing the Current Month Forecast and Previous Month Forecast (Scenarios in Columns). There is various UD Intersections exist for this comparison (Region-Cost Center-Customer-Product). I am seeing significant Performance degrade when I have the Time members in Rows. Report takes very long to render. Are there any tips and techniques that anyone could suggest having time members in rows with improved render time? Or is this not a good practice and should be avoided?
What is your company’s policy for retaining monthly, quarterly and annual data in OS in historical hierarchies?Knowing history changes when you move entities around the hierarchy, I'm looking to see how other companies handle this. Appreciate your input - thanks!
I would like to enhance our RCM / Account Reconciliation to support a more flexible and admin-controlled mass data load or mass updates capability using an excel or csv template. For large organizations, reconciliation information may need to be maintained across many entities, accounts, workflows, and periods. Manually updating records one by one can be time-consuming, especially during close or post-close review.Useful mass update areas could include reconciliation attributes, required fields, risk/frequency classifications, preparer/approver ownership, due dates, comments, and other reconciliation details. It would also be helpful for the process to include validation, downloadable error reporting, security controls, and an audit trail of loaded/updated records. This would improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support better control and audit visibility for larger RCM deployments.Thank you.
We are using v8.5 and inserting document variables into our Word document from a Named Range in a spreadsheet using the merge format option:{DOCVARIABLE "{XF}{Application}{File}{Documents/Public/Extensible Documents/Performance Reporting/MPR.xfdoc.xlsx}""ExcelNamedRange=CapInvGrp"\* MERGEFORMAT}The tables are formatted in Excel with column widths, shading, borders, numbers formats. In the Word document, we apply styles to these tables to correct the row height and spacing. One style applies to the headers (left aligned) and another to the value cells (right aligned). When an artefact is refreshed, the formats are maintained and shown correctly for all but the very last cell in every table, which reverts to the "Normal" style:The number style is set up with the “Style for following paragraph” option as the same style.Any idea why this happens and how we can correct it? Alternatively, is there a better way to force the row spacing in the Word tables without losing it on refresh?
Hi If/when we are going to move to the browser solution, I would like to have my dashboard menu to be align to left. This is how it looks in the app: This is how it looks in browser. It is OK that icons are in colors, but I can't align the text to left. Component properties are the following (with no effect) Any suggestion on how to align it? Regards Ole
Does anyone know where I can look to start getting a better understanding of automatically scheduled monthly reports or packages? We have several Business Units that all look at the information a bit differently. Any suggestions on what has worked for your Business Leaders in regards to what they see each month?
Hello,I am evaluating OneStream Narrative Reporting and have a couple of questions regarding functionality compared to Oracle's reporting solutions: When creating a Narrative Reporting book, is it possible to upload an Excel workbook containing multiple worksheets and then reference individual worksheets/tabs in different sections of the book? From what I can see, there does not appear to be an option to directly reference specific sheets from an uploaded workbook. Does OneStream Narrative Reporting support opening and editing reports directly in Excel similar to Oracle Smart View? In Oracle, users could work with Narrative Reporting content through the Excel add-in. I have not found an similar capability in OneStream and would like to understand the intended approach. If these capabilities are not available, what are the recommended best practices for:Creating a book which includes one Excel workbook with containing multiple sheets that need to be distributed through different secti

Hi all, I am trying to use conditional formatting in a cubeview and color all of the columns but I want it based on the cell value in Col3, not its own cell value. I have If (CellAmount > 0) Then ReportBackgroundColor = Green --- but I want it to be Col3 cell amount coloring col5. Is this possible?

I have a cube view created with a parameters for Scenarios called: Current_scenario and Prior_scenario. BW and BW% are calculated within the cube view report. Accounts are in the rows. Scenario in the columns. I want to create a Ud8 member that places a “Y” for accounts which meet a criteria for review. I am new to dynamic calculations (be gentle). I tried the scrip below but I don't think this is going to work.Dim selectedAcct As Member = api.Pov.Account Dim selectedScen As Member = api.Pov.Scenario Dim selectedTime As Member = api.Pov.Time Dim ParentRow As Decimal = api.Data.GetDataCell("T#[" + selectedTime.Name + "]:U8#None:S#"+selectedScen.name:V#MTD:A#"+selectedAcct.Name).CellAmount Dim ParentRow2 As Decimal = api.Data.GetDataCell("T#[" + selectedTime.Name + "]:U8#None:S#"+selectedScen.name:V#MTD:A#"+selectedAcct.Name).CellAmount Dim Result1 As String = "" Dim Result2 As String = "Y" If (Not selectedAcct Is Nothing) Then If ((ParentRow-ParentRow2)>=100
