CoPilot knowledge base, custom Assistant?

Has anyone worked with creating a Copilot Agent to ask questions about the metadata inside the app? I’m currently building one out for our app by created a document library, but this is only working for my documents.  I have tried to load up xml files to that document library, but CoPilot is having issues reading them to answer basic questions.
