OneStream Software — Community Terms of Use
Last Updated: 1 June 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the OneStream Software online community named Community ( “Community”), a public forum for discussion, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration regarding OneStream Software LLC products and services, operated by OneStream Software LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Community, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- “Community” means the online forum and any related events, sub-communities, groups, and tools made available by Company under these Terms.
- “Company IP” means the Community platform, software, branding, and all materials made available by Company (excluding User Content).
- “Member” means any individual who registers for, accesses, or uses the Community.
- “User Content” or “Submissions” means any text, code, snippet, image, video, file, link, comment, vote, badge, profile information, or other content posted, uploaded, transmitted, or otherwise made available by a Member to or through the Community.
2. Nature of the Community; Public and Non-Confidential
The Community is a public-facing forum. Submissions may be visible to all Members, the general public, and search engines, and may be cached, indexed, and archived by third parties. By posting any Submission, you acknowledge and agree that the Submission is non-confidential, and you expressly waive any trade secret, confidentiality, or similar protections in the Submission. You shall not post any information that you or your employer treats as confidential, including credentials, customer data, source code containing secrets, internal documents, or non-public personal information of any individual. You are responsible for obtaining all rights and permissions necessary to post any Submission.
3. Eligibility
To register for or use the Community, you must be at least eighteen (18) years old, or such higher minimum age required by your jurisdiction. If you participate on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to act on its behalf with respect to your participation.
4. Member Accounts
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their credentials and for all activity under their accounts. Members must provide accurate registration information and may use only one account unless Company expressly permits otherwise. Members must promptly notify Company of any unauthorized use.
5. Code of Conduct and Acceptable Use
Members shall not, and shall not encourage others to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or doxx any person; engage in hate speech, sexual harassment, or discrimination based on race, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, national origin, or other protected characteristic;
- Post unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, obscene, sexually explicit, or violent content; encourage self-harm; or post content harmful to minors;
- Impersonate any person, entity, or Company representative, or misrepresent affiliation;
- Post spam, chain messages, duplicate posts, or bulk promotional content; advertise products or services without prior written authorization (including non-Company products);
- Recruit or solicit other Members or their employers, except in any space designated for that purpose;
- Post or distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code; conduct unauthorized vulnerability testing; scrape, mass-download, or evade rate limits;
- Circumvent moderation actions, suspensions, or bans, including by creating new accounts;
- Post content infringing or misappropriating any third party’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights;
- Engage in legal threats, vendetta posts, or political or religious advocacy outside of any space designated for that purpose;
- Post AI-generated content without disclosing that it is AI-generated, or pass off AI-generated answers as the work of a human expert;
- Use the Community in violation of any applicable export, sanctions, or anti-corruption law.
6. Ownership and License of User Content
You retain ownership of your Submissions. By posting a Submission, you grant Company and its affiliates a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, transferable, sublicensable (through multiple tiers) license to host, store, reproduce, distribute, modify, prepare derivative works of, translate, adapt, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, and otherwise use and exploit your Submission, in any media now known or later developed, for any purpose, including without limitation: operating and improving the Community and Company’s products and services; marketing, promotional, and testimonial use; product support and benchmarking; and training, evaluating, and improving artificial intelligence and machine learning models. You waive, to the maximum extent permitted by law, any moral rights and any rights of attribution or integrity in your Submissions.
You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have all rights necessary to grant the foregoing licenses, and (b) your Submissions do not violate any third-party rights or applicable law.
7. Moderation Rights
Company has the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, edit, refuse, remove, restrict, suspend, or terminate any Submission, account, or access, with or without notice, in its sole discretion. Company may apply a tiered enforcement ladder — typically first warning, second warning with temporary suspension (24–72 hours), and termination on continued or severe violations — but reserves the right to act immediately for serious violations. Members may request review of a moderation action by writing to community@onestream.com. Company has no liability for moderation actions taken in good faith.
8. Submissions Are Not Company Statements; No Professional Advice
Submissions reflect the views of their authors, not Company or its affiliates. Company does not endorse, verify, warrant, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, safety, or fitness of any Submission. Submissions do not constitute legal, financial, medical, security, or other professional advice. You rely on Submissions at your own risk.
9. Intellectual Property; DMCA

COMPANY’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE COMMUNITY WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). THE LIMITATIONS DO NOT APPLY TO INDEMNIFICATION OBLIGATIONS, INFRINGEMENT OF THE OTHER PARTY’S IP, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR FRAUD.
13. Indemnification

14. Suspension and Termination
Company may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, security or fraud risk, legal compulsion, or any other reason. You may cease use of the Community at any time. Sections 2, 5–9, and 11–16 survive termination.
