We are using v8.5 and inserting document variables into our Word document from a Named Range in a spreadsheet using the merge format option:{DOCVARIABLE "{XF}{Application}{File}{Documents/Public/Extensible Documents/Performance Reporting/MPR.xfdoc.xlsx}""ExcelNamedRange=CapInvGrp"\* MERGEFORMAT}The tables are formatted in Excel with column widths, shading, borders, numbers formats. In the Word document, we apply styles to these tables to correct the row height and spacing. One style applies to the headers (left aligned) and another to the value cells (right aligned). When an artefact is refreshed, the formats are maintained and shown correctly for all but the very last cell in every table, which reverts to the "Normal" style:The number style is set up with the “Style for following paragraph” option as the same style.Any idea why this happens and how we can correct it? Alternatively, is there a better way to force the row spacing in the Word tables without losing it on refresh?

Does anyone know where I can look to start getting a better understanding of automatically scheduled monthly reports or packages? We have several Business Units that all look at the information a bit differently. Any suggestions on what has worked for your Business Leaders in regards to what they see each month?
Hello,I am evaluating OneStream Narrative Reporting and have a couple of questions regarding functionality compared to Oracle's reporting solutions: When creating a Narrative Reporting book, is it possible to upload an Excel workbook containing multiple worksheets and then reference individual worksheets/tabs in different sections of the book? From what I can see, there does not appear to be an option to directly reference specific sheets from an uploaded workbook. Does OneStream Narrative Reporting support opening and editing reports directly in Excel similar to Oracle Smart View? In Oracle, users could work with Narrative Reporting content through the Excel add-in. I have not found an similar capability in OneStream and would like to understand the intended approach. If these capabilities are not available, what are the recommended best practices for:Creating a book which includes one Excel workbook with containing multiple sheets that need to be distributed through different secti
Hi,Is there any way to retrieve the user and timestamp associated with a data cell via a Business Rule?I'm building a Business Rule to generate a file from cube data. To do this, I'm using DataBuffers, but the cell audit information is not available in the DataBuffer cells. Given the cell POV, is there any way to retrieve the audit information (user and timestamp) for that cell? Thanks.
We are on OneStream 8.5 using the People Planning Solution Exchange module. We have a Dashboard String Function (GetRegisterFilter) that returns a SQL WHERE clause for XFW_PLP_Register.The register contains an Entity column with valid OneStream Entity member names.Returning "[Entity] = 'USA'" successfully filters the register. We would like to replace that with the user's effective OneStream Entity security (including inherited access through parent entities such as EMEA).What BRApi function in 8.5 returns the list of Entity members a user can read, or checks whether a user has access to a specific Entity member?

Hi all,If I enter data in an Input Form without saving and then navigate to another Input Form workflow step, the "The selected item has not been saved" warning message is displayed. However, Cancel does not prevent navigation and the unsaved changes are lost.I've tested several other navigation scenarios (changing period, scenario, entity, navigating to dashboards, cube views, or non-Input Form workflow steps) and in those cases Cancel behaves as expected and preserves the unsaved data. The issue seems to occur only when moving from one Input Form workflow step to another.Any ideas on how to prevent unsaved changes from being lost if a user forgets to click Save before leaving the Input Form?
Hi all, I am trying to use conditional formatting in a cubeview and color all of the columns but I want it based on the cell value in Col3, not its own cell value. I have If (CellAmount > 0) Then ReportBackgroundColor = Green --- but I want it to be Col3 cell amount coloring col5. Is this possible?
It is possible to have several Rows in advanced dashboard layout. I have both tried to have Row Hight to * or fixed value. But I can not force a scrool on the rigth side.

I have a cube view created with a parameters for Scenarios called: Current_scenario and Prior_scenario. BW and BW% are calculated within the cube view report. Accounts are in the rows. Scenario in the columns. I want to create a Ud8 member that places a “Y” for accounts which meet a criteria for review. I am new to dynamic calculations (be gentle). I tried the scrip below but I don't think this is going to work.Dim selectedAcct As Member = api.Pov.Account Dim selectedScen As Member = api.Pov.Scenario Dim selectedTime As Member = api.Pov.Time Dim ParentRow As Decimal = api.Data.GetDataCell("T#[" + selectedTime.Name + "]:U8#None:S#"+selectedScen.name:V#MTD:A#"+selectedAcct.Name).CellAmount Dim ParentRow2 As Decimal = api.Data.GetDataCell("T#[" + selectedTime.Name + "]:U8#None:S#"+selectedScen.name:V#MTD:A#"+selectedAcct.Name).CellAmount Dim Result1 As String = "" Dim Result2 As String = "Y" If (Not selectedAcct Is Nothing) Then If ((ParentRow-ParentRow2)>=100

HiI have an assembly1 with generic functionality which can e.g. be triggered via DMs in assembly1.I can see the DM in the task scheduler however I have not found a way to trigger it from another assembly2 via a button action ‘Data Management Sequence’. Hi everyone, We have a requirement from our business users to make it mandatory to attach supporting documentation to certain tasks before they can be marked as "Prepared" in Task Manager. We reached out to OneStream Support, and they confirmed this isn't supported out-of-the-box. They did advise that we could accomplish this by leveraging Business Rules or Event Handlers. Has anyone in the community encountered this request and successfully solved it? If so, we would love to hear your approach. Specifically: Which Event Handler type did you find works best for intercepting a Task Manager status change? Do you have any code snippets for checking if a file attachment exists on a specific task? Are there any performance impacts or pitfalls to watch out for when implementing this? Thanks in advance for any insights or examples!
I am relatively new to OneStream and have recently taken responsibility for managing the platform within our organization. As I look for ways to improve the user experience, I feel our current reporting structure may be excessive. We currently have more than 90 reports available to users, including approximately 30 budget reports alone. The data is basically formatted differently in each report (ie Monthly, YTD, FullYear) I am curious how other organizations manage and govern the Reports function. How many reports do you typically make available to licensed users, and what best practices have you found for balancing user flexibility with report standardization and simplicity?
Issue Description: The report displays data correctly for the user who developed it. However, when accessed by other users, the report appears blank and does not return any data. The following validations have been performed: The affected user has Administrator security access. Access to all dimensions used in the report, including the Cube View report, has been granted to Everyone. Relevant data is available for FY2027. Despite the above validations, the report continues to display data only for the developer and remains blank for other users. Further investigation is required to identify the root cause. Attached the screenshots for reference.Kindly suggest a workaround. Thanks!

Hello, our company recently adopted OneStream for our account reconciliation tool. Our current process is that the account reconciliations are tracked within excel. My current issue is that for one account, I am reconciling multiple entities within one excel document. I want to be able to integrate these T-docs within my excel file for easy upload to OneStream. Whenever I do this for one entity, it seems to work well. However, if I add multiple T-Docs, OneStream seems to only pull the first T-Doc within the file instead of looking at the unique identifiers to pull the correct T-Doc. Is there a solution to this? Thanks!
Hi Team, I need your support regarding an issue I am facing with the dashboard-driven data clearing logic. Requirement:When specific Dimension/Members are selected in the dashboard, the attached code is expected to execute in Preview and Clear modes to remove the corresponding data. Issue Observed: The code runs successfully during execution. I can see the log message indicating that the data is “cleared.” However, the actual data is not getting cleared from the system. This suggests that while the process is triggering correctly, the clearing operation is not impacting the underlying data as expected. Could you please review and provide your suggestions on what might be causing this issue or any potential gaps in the approach? Let me know if you need additional details or logs from my end. Thanks in advance for your help. api.Data.SetDataCell(memberScript, amount, isNoData, isDurableCalculatedData) Imports System Imports System.Collections.Generic
Hi there,I'm working on a client using the version 8.5.2 and I'm trying to use the Dynamic Dashboards functionallity to modify a property from a SQL Editor Component. The purpose of this logic is to set a dashboard in "ReadOnly" mode when the parameter is set, and in this case, the read only mode I want to achieve is by setting "ShowDataManipulationButtons = False".The BR logic used is the following:If Component.DashboardComponentType = DashboardComponentType.SqlTableEditor ThenDim sqlDefinition = XFSqlTableEditorDefinition.ReadXmlString(si,Component.XmlData)sqlDefinition.ShowDataManipulationButtons = FalseComponent.XmlData = sqlDefinition.WriteXmlString(si)End If I have checked that after this point the component XmlData has changed, however, despite returning the modified component, the changes as not being displayed in the dashboard. If instead of modifying an SqlEditor component, I change any property on a Button component, the changes are being displayed correctly. Is this
