Hi OS Community.  has anyone encountered this error when logging into OneStream? "Another user is already logged into the application on this client. That user must log out of their external identity provider before you can log in." I ran into this issue today with a user and wanted to see if anyone has experienced the same thing and found a fix.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Edit: I found a similar post from past [ Unable to Login into OneStream]  where it was suggested to log out of the organizational SSO account, but just wondering if there's a permanent fix or root cause of this.

Hi everyone, We're looking into the Allocations Management solution in OneStream for SG&A allocations and wanted to see if anyone is currently using it. If so, we'd love to hear about your experience. How has it worked for your allocation processes? Has implementation and maintenance been manageable? Are there any limitations, challenges, or lessons learned that you'd be willing to share? Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if it’s possible to adjust the time zone within File Explorer? The Time Created and Time Modified columns show the time stamp in UTC time, and we’d like it to display in EST. Is it possible to make that change and if so, can anyone tell me how/where?  

Hi All, I would like to use parameter in my excel sheet which uses xfget function to retrieve data ; however couple of paramters work but movement I started adding more, e.g I would see Time value in entity drop down list. I tried in spreadsheet but it's working as expected but desktop it merges the value from multiple dimensions.Anyone knows is it a bug. I am using 9.2ThanksPranav

Hi All, Is there a way to revert the workflow within the solution?We are using the workspace step, and we cannot revert to add more rows to the grid because it remains green once an import has started.Hope to get insights.Thank you.

Hi I am getting this error while processing calculation, and I could not find the cause of this issue.I have tried removing all my formulas and even filters just to check this but no success. 

Hello, I added a new register field and now I am getting this error in the LIM WFP register. Confused because the register fields named in the error are all of ‘data type’ string already and I don’t see a field for ‘display format’ like what is mentioned in the error. Never had this problem before, but I recently upgraded the solution. Do I need to update the column format in some fashion instead of leaving it blank like in previous versions? That said, I don’t see a string format available in the dropdown list...Best,David

Hi Is it possible to extract the O#DirectElim data in OneStream? I have tried this with CubeView and also data management extract job but nothing coming. I could get the data for O#Elimination and also in QuickView for this POV.  Thank you, PM

Hi All, We are using the OneStream 'cloud' solution with the desktop application required to be installed to access the OneStream functionalities. We would like to perform load/performance testing for the application with 250+ users to check its performace under the load. Have anyone done performance or Load or Concurrency testing for OneStream cloud application which is accessed through OneStream desktop application? If you have done this testing before, please share the performance or load testing tool and protocol used for testing the desktop application of OneStream with cloud solution. HiI have an assembly1 with generic functionality which can e.g. be triggered via DMs in assembly1.I can see the DM in the task scheduler however I have not found a way to trigger it from another assembly2 via a button action ‘Data Management Sequence’. If I run it I get the error Unable to execute dashboard server task for component 'btn_...'. Data Management Sequence 'TEST_DM_IN_ASSEMBLY1' is invalid.Has anyone a solution?

Hello to everyone. Does anyone know how to build in Excel Add-ins for Task Manager? Our OneStream version is 8.2.2.16127? Guidance for this version provides the step-by-step instructions how to set up Add-ins for Word and PowerPoint, but not for Excel Add-ins.  Our Task Manager version is PV800 SV100. If to be very specific, we are looking for the opportunity to install Excel Add-Ins to link the preparation status from excel file to particular task in Task Manager. For example, if we have the excel file somewhere outside OneStream (on Sharepoint), and when the work done inside this file, we can push built-in "Complete" button in this file. The completion status from this file automatically forces the change in the preparation status in Task Manager for this task, which is linked to this file through the action type functionality in Task Manager.  Does it sound real? I've been going through some training material on DCS for a use case that requires frequent changes in a dimension (UD3 - SKU). Because of this, I'm considering dynamic dimensions where the SKU can be written and generated via code. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that supports writing data from a cube view. I've only found material that says the "Dynamic Cube" needs to have the share and edit feature turned on.Question - Is it even possible to create a cube, use a dynamic dimension as one of its dimensions, write allocation calcs to allocate data to SKU level and be able to modify that data using cube views?If not, what is the best way to handle this use case without having to create another non-dynamic SKU dimension.

In LIM WF model, I have created register with only 7 fields, Start Date, End Date, Entity, Employee id, Position id, FTE and Base Salary.Created two accounts FTE and Base Salary to copy data to people cube.Now when I am trying to add row, it is not adding any data in but its not showing in register. If i check database table I can see data.Earlier I have uninstalled LIM and WF multiple times to check if the issue gets resolved but still in same place. Any help will be good.  

Hi Folks,  Wondering if anyone has built a BR or query to compile a list of Users and their Default Home Page.  I know its in the UserAppSettings.xml File within File Explorer under Internal/User, and you can set individuals through the Admin Solution Tools, however I have not found a good way to See what is already set without going to each user individually (that would not be very practical). Appreciate any help! Stephanie

Is there any way to calculate Headcount where I will use start Data and end date of Current period. If the difference is more than 1 then my HC is 1, I cannot use current period end date in Formula, I tried IIF (DateDiff(month, start date, Current Period)>1,1,0) but it is not giving me any result

Hi all!  Anyone know of the best way to report on security changes made to an entity? I can't seem to figure out the right table or the right member property that shows the security updates made to a member so any direction would be greatly appreciated!  Full disclosure - also have a OS support ticket out there and patiently waiting :) 

I'm trying to help a user load some data for an LRP scenario, but the the years 2027 through 2030 are showing as read-only. All workflows are open, unlocked, and not started for those years, I am an admin, so it's not a security issue,  I created a quickview below to show the locked periods: Here's the settings for the scenario: When I look at the cell status for one of the read-only cells, I see this:   For extra information, my colleague did perform a DM job that copied data from another scenario into this one for 2027 - 2030 specifically, which are the periods that are read-only.  Any insight as to how to fix this so that users can enter data into 2027 - 2030 in this scenario? Good afternoon,I'm encountering an issue and hoping someone could share how they've worked around this in the past.We have a task that runs over a finite number of Entities.  Historically the underlying Business Rule was kicked off via DM Step with Entity: E#Top.Base.  It's not exactly "Top" but something similar to hopefully capture all relevant Entities to this particular task.  The runtime was always a consideration as it also runs for all remaining periods within our current year.In an effort to reduce runtime we introduced a "Unique Entity" parameter.  This is defined by a Business Rule that runs and queries a source table to determine only the Entities that this particular task needs to be run on.  In practice this has greatly reduced runtime on the task.  Runs more than 2x faster.The problem:The source table that populates the list of "unique entities" is also updated within the same Data Management Sequence.  Something like:  1) Update so

Is there an ability to organize a default order for the columns in LIM? I understand the user can customize the order, but we'd like to determine a starting order. Register Definition doesn't give the traditional arrows available to reorder. 

Hi OneStreamI am trying to add an XFBR from Assembly using the guide ´, and have tried various ways. I tried Current, and even adding the WSMU, and the whole workspace name as well, but to no luck.The data management and the assembly are both in the same workspace/DMU. I believe I am missing the correct way to add the XFBR. Can you please advise what the correct way is? Appreciate it. Thank you.
