Can we move entity member from One Cube to Another along with data?

Hi All,

I am trying to move the entity member from One Hierarchy to another (Across Cubes)

Cube1→ Entity Dimension1 → EntityMember(A)

I need to move it to

Cube2→ Entity Dimension2 → EntityMember(A)

Can it be possible along with data?

This is possible but there is no in-built method to do this.  First I would recommend performing a full impact analysis of Scenarios and Times impacted by the Entity you wish to move (make sure you also consider it’s IC counterpart).  Then you’d need a strategy e.g possibly copies of scenarios for staging and code to get and set the numbers, code to clear original intersections and a reconciliation approach.  There’s also Workflow, Stage Data, Journal Data and Forms Data to consider, for example.  So it requires a methodical approach
