Hi, I'm trying to build a cube view having a list of Entities on the rows. I'd like the row label to be the entity description followed by the entity currency. I was trying to use the Name function to do that. I am able to display the entity currency like this for example: E#Tot_Entity.TreeDescendantsInclusive:Name(XFMemberProperty(DimType=Entity, Member=|MFEntity|, Property=Currency)) Similarly I can use the XFmemberproperty function to retrieve the member description, like this: E#Tot_Entity.TreeDescendantsInclusive:Name(XFMemberProperty(DimType=Entity, Member=|MFEntity|, Property=Description))   However, I have been unable to combine the 2 things. How do I concatenate strings within the Name function? Thank you

Hello,   As my title indicates, I am trying to create comment columns within my CV's that utilize the V#Annotation and V#VarianceExplanation members and am stuck at a roadblock with this error: Error saving data attachment. The intersection is read-only. Is this something handled within security? Any help is appreciated.   EDIT: I have heard that one possibility is that this is not a base level member that I want to make a comment to. Could that be the reason why? And if that is the case, is there a way to get around this?

Does anyone else run into issues frequently creating and copying quickviews?  When I try to copy quick views i often get no response excel.  Even if i shut down excel and restart my computer it doesn't seem to help.  Below is the error issue i receive when trying to create a quick view table.     

I built a cube view which contains blank cells (this is expected) as there is no data in the intersection. How can I forcibly show 0.0 in these cells (intersections) instead of blank cells? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am trying to retrieve a Chart (Advanced) in my PowerPoint presentation, making use of the Alt Text functionality and extensible documents. The chart component works perfectly fine in OneStream. I can see the chart and correct the data. However, when I open the PowerPoint containing a picture with the Alt Text, I get the following message: The message prompts that there are no parameters for the selected item. However, my data adapter is linked to a cube view, which has an entity selection parameter in the cube view POV. When I click 'OK', the PowerPoint opens, but the chart area is empty. When I hardcode the entity in the cube view that is used as a source for the data adapter, I get the exact same error message, but the chart area is populated with data.  Therefore, I think I'm doing something wrong with the parameter settings of the Chart (advanced) component. However, I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.  Any help would be very much appreciated. T

Hi everyone, I want to retrieve a report component into my PowerPoint, using the extensible documents and the Alt Text functionality of PowerPoint. I have created a graph within a report component. As you can see in the picture below, I have created the graph within the ReportHeader1 section of the report, and it shows data when it's run.  However, when I open the extensible document PowerPoint, it just shows a black window. The picture has the following Alt Text:  {XF}{Application}{Report}{Development} PageNumber=1, CropLeft=0, CropTop=0, CropWidth=0, CropHeight=0, Zoom=100, MaintainAspectRatio=False, FillMode=Height, Anchor=TopLeft, IncludeBorders=False, IncludeReportMargins=False, IncludeReportHeader=False, IncludeReportFooter=False, IncludePageHeader=False, IncludePageFooter=False. I have a bar and line chart (line being the 2nd Y-Axis).  I want to sync the two scales; Anyone know how to do that?  I did not see an option to sync and looking for guidance. 

Hi, New user here.  I have a report I'm building to show current year to date and prior year to date metrics, each with a variance column followed by a blank one as shown in the example screenshot below.     I'd prefer to see 8/22 - 8/21 below each Variance column.  If not, then just blanks for both Aug 2021 and YTD.  Additionally, I'd like to see nothing in the blank columns where it currently shows None, Aug 2022, and YTD.    Below are the settings I have for Headers and Columns, respectively.     Thank you,

Hi everyone, I would like to add a top and bottom border to a specific row in the report when I export the cube view.  I know this is done by setting the GridLinesColor to a specific color and ReportUseTopBorder = True and ReportUseBottomBorder = False. Even though my client will not use the cube view but is only interested in the report view (which will be exported to PPT), I would like to know if I can have the top and bottom border in the report view but not show the grid lines when viewing the cube view. How can we get a system generated report for version compare for metadata and finance rule changes?  The question is related to providing SOX audit documentation compares to auditors as this a finance tool. Earlier in HFM, we used spreadsheet compare. Please suggest.

Hello, I am attempting to build a simple line chart through BI Viewer with Cashflow amounts in Y axis and Time (month-year) in X axis. I cannot get it to sort properly so it display data to flow through time. In the X axis, I choose Time for Arguments and sort in ascending. But it sorted as 2021M1, 2021M11, 2021M12, then 2021M2. When I change Time display from Name to Description, it goes by April-2021, April 2021 etc. How do I set this up so Time dimension flow through chronologically?

Is there a functionality to populate headers when we open a cube view from Excel.  Currently when I open Excel, connect to OneStream and open a cube view, the headers that we set in OS does not populate.  Is there a fix to this? 

Hi everyone,   I am having some issues with the report dashboard component. I have created a report that consists of a graph linked to a specific data adapter. This data adapter is connected to a cube view. Everything is working fine, I am getting data in the graph, and it's doing the correct thing. However, the graph is printed 72 times on the report. These graphs are all identical, so it prints the same graph 72 times on the report.  Is it a coincidence that when I test the data adapter, the 'total number of rows' is also 72? In addition, is there a setting where I can specify that the report should only be printed once? I hope someone can help me find a solution. I really appreciate any help you can provide. T#PeriodPrior1(|!DRU_Year!|):Name(April 30, 2021)   The member filter above is not dynamic since I am hard-coding 2021 in the second column. How can I make the second column be a prior period based on the first column?

Hi All,   I am wondering if there is a way to display a text value in a cube view cell directly from a cubeview member filter?  In other words, in the same way that you can use a member filter with GetDataCell to force a number to be displayed (ie. A#Net_income:GetDataCell(100) will display 100), can you do something similar for text values like A#Net_Income:GetDataCell(Hello) to display Hello in the cell?  It doesn't work for me and I have also tried using A#Net_Income:V#Annotation:GetDataCell(Hello) and that doesn't work either.   Any thoughts?   Thx, Mike

Happy Labor Day for USA. Happy gas shortages, high electric bills and soon coming freezing winters for many of us around the world.I renamed my Cubeview from CV1  to CV2_deleteVersion08302022. Why did my workflows  automatically change its configuration to use new name CV2_deleteVersion08302022? Should it not remain as CV1 ?  I'll try to give a screen shot

Hello,   I have a Cube View that prompts the user to select the month for the report when it is run.It would be great if it could select the current year's first month by default. I have tried some different things in the Default Value such as WFYear, T#WFyear, |T#WFyear| and others but cannot get the default I need. Does anyone know what the syntax that I am looking for is? Hello Team I created a Nested member expansion under a cube view. It works fine with grouping of the nested dimensions as in picture#1.  But by default it always have the list grouped. Is there an option to have them all ungrouped by default (pic#2)? Thanks!!

Hello,   I have this Cube View that I created in which I have to move the half year (H1) column to be in between Q2 and Q3 in order to match the formatting of the report that I was given as the model. I have attempted to make some changes to accomplish this but I have not been able to do so. I am displaying the quarters as Time:T#WFYear.Quarters       How can I accomplish this formatting goal? Furthermore what is the synthax that would allow me to display a single quarter of my choosing?    Thank you in advance for your time and cooperation!

Hi All, Does anyone know of nice reporting on the metadata and the properties of each member?  Basically, I am looking for something like the Dimension Library Grid View to be displayed in a user-friendly report.  Before we start building something I wanted to make sure someone doesn't have an easy solution for this.  Would want something that users could easily access perhaps via Cubeview or Dashboard content. An example would be a report that shows all of the accounts with their metadata properties (ie. description, AllowInput, AcctType, Text1-8, etc.).  I checked the Application Reports (RPTA) that is in MarketPlace but it doesn't have anything.   Thx, Mike

Hello,   I have this cube view that I made, in which I am having issues in the secon to last column. I am trying to see what the difference between each quarter is between the forecast and budget scenarios.When I run my cube view, I get a single difference between Q1 forecast and Q1budget only, and Q2 trough Q4 are nowhere to be found. I was expecting that what I typed would give me the difference between each quarter, not just the first.       Can you share what your thoughts on what I am doing wrong please?Your time and input is appreciated in advance!

Hi,I need to build a cube view where I want to have Accounts base as well as U1 Base. Something like this: The problem is when I am running this - Onestream crashes. Supression settings are on: Is this because of too many intersections to look at?Account Dimension has approximately 6000 base members and U1 has 1200.Can anyone suggest a way on how to build this?Thanks.  

Hello, Is there a way to make cells display numerical data in the millions of dollars amount? As an example 1,500,000 would be displayed as 1.5 I have looked around but did not find much information on the NumberFormat paramater so it is kind of confusing in terms of synthax.
