I have a button on a dashboard that needs to change the values of two parameters with one click of the button. Is this possible without building an XFBR? The "Bound Parameter" property implies it can only control one. Placing a comma between two parameters in this property does not acknowledge the second parameter. 

Has anyone experienced after creating a shortcut that the OneStream icon is missing from the shortcut? If so, does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I know I can create my own icon and map to it, but I would think that this should be there.  Thank you

I want to give users the ability to add attachment in the cell with a dynamically calculated UD8 member. Dynamic calculation places the value of 1 into that intersection if the file attachment is present and the value of 0 if there is no attachment. I use these values to change the formatting of the cell if there is an attachment. I am an Admin and I have no problem attaching the file. However, other users are getting the "Error saving data attachment" message. I wonder what governs this and if I can give my users the ability to add attachments to that cell? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how can I make few rows as un editable. Example: highlighted rows in below screenshot. I remember this can be done through Row overrides but its not working. In column member filter, I defined two dimensions as below. What should I define in Row override to have 'Total Revenues', 'Total Expense' and 'Personal' rows un editable?

Hi, I'm trying to create a form with set of accounts in rows and column should be for adding the adjustments. Here, I do not required to pull any data from the cube. Instead I have to update the adjustments based on the scenario selected. This should be a separate form where the adjustments data should not update the existing forecast data. POV:             Parameters in POV are defined to pull the accounts accordingly. Rows:  Columns: Issue: I couldn't get the form with editable fields. refer screenshot below. FYI: Can Modify data for Column is set to 'True'  

Hi everyoneWe recently upgraded to OneStream version 8.4 and are generally enjoying the experience.  I do have a question that I would like to pose to OneStream and the broader community.  Within the "Fixed Issues" section of the version 8.4 release notes there was the following:What was this intending to resolve?  We have seen an issue when we try to connect to both the OneStream and EPM excel add-ins to retrieve data from both systems.  When logging into the OneStream add-in, we get the following error message.  The solution has been to disable the EPM addin, close Excel, relaunch it, login to the OneStream addin.  Once we've done that, we can reenable the EPM addin, login to that, and then we are good.  Until the next time.Our hope was that setting the add-in compatibility filter to true, as shown below, would resolve the issue we are seeing.  Unfortunately that is not the case.   I'm looking for any advice or detail on fix in t

As you can see I'm not even sure how to title this post. I have a user from a sub who has asked whether there's a way to create a popup message to the individual trying to import data if they are loading to an incorrect (but viable) intersection? I've been asked similar questions in the past about creating popup messages.  I assume there must be a business rule we could create but not sure if such a thing would be possible during an event like importing data. Thoughts anyone?

Hi, I have a use case to format V#Annotation text fields in a Cube View to Red when it's blank, with Entity in CV rows. I'm using a Literal parameter, and using the XFBR to return "Background=Red" for the purpose. The issue I have is that I cannot seem to get Entity from Cube View to use in XFBR. Since Scenario and Time are tied to Workflow, can get those with no issue. Below is my code section to get Scenario, Time and Entity, but Entity is null when I checked inside the XFBR rule. string wfSceanario = args.SubstVarSourceInfo.WFScenario.Name;  //works string wfTime = args.SubstVarSourceInfo.WFTime.Name;  //works string currEntity = args.SubstVarSourceInfo.PovMembers.Entity.Name;  //doesn't work   Anyone has advice on how to get the Entity name used in Cube View Rows, in my case? Since Entity is not passed, all my cell rows are Red now.    My Row definition in the Cube View: Appreciate the help!

Edit: Have determined that if I remove a column from the BI grid view and then replace it, data will populate the component again. Still don't have a reason or fix for the issue.    Hello, I have a BI viewer that works fine in the initial setup/shows data pass through. I will run the BI in a dashboard once and it will also work correctly. If I run the dashboard again, it stops displaying data. I checked and my data adapter functions as expected, and if I delete the BI and make an identical version it will also work initially in the BI Viewer component once and the dashboard once.  The viewer operates off of two combo box member lists, and I've confirmed that those update my dashboard data set rule when I refresh my dashboard.  If anyone has any input on this situation it would be much appreciated.

Hello, I'm learning to use BI Viewer, is there a way where I can drill down the entity dimension from region to base level? I've tried different expansions and I either get only regions or everything and when I try to drill down the region, it just gives me the region again and not the base entities that make up those entities. Is it possible to place a restriction on a scenario member to prevent data write via XFSet? This would prevent data load via XFSet for Actuals (so the workflow can't be bypassed), however would allow data send via XFSet for budget / forecast scenarios. Would appreciate any input if other users have dealt with this issue in the past.  

Hello, We experience performance problems when we try to export Onestream data for insertion into a third-party system.For 100 entities and 12 months, processing takes 20 hours and is often killed by the system.Apparently, it's the dynamic accounts that take up a lot of time during extraction.Do you have the same problem and what are the solutions to optimize the export?Thanks

I’m working on a Drill Back Dialogue in OneStream that uses XFDataTable, and I need to display a sum total row at the bottom of the table, similar to how it appears in a Drill Down. Currently, my Drill Back table retrieves and displays data correctly, but there’s no built-in option to show a total row. I’d like to dynamically calculate the sum of a specific column (e.g., Amount) and append it as the last row in the table. Has anyone successfully implemented this? Would this require modifying the Business Rule handling the drill back or is there a UI setting that allows this? Appreciate any insights or sample code. Thanks in advance!

I had multiple, fully functioning quick views in my excel file.  Once I saved my excel file and reopened, OneStream no longer recognizes two of the quick views.  The name manager in excel still has the values associated but OneStream is not recognizing the ranges.    Has anyone else had trouble with this?  Is there a way to quickly restore a complex cube view without starting from scratch?   Thanks, Sean

Hi, I've been looking into the audit trails for O#Forms and O#Import data. The audit trail for O#Forms data seems to be in good shape, with changes tracked in tables like DataEntryAuditCell and DataEntryAuditSource.For O#Import data, I've found some audit information in the staging area tables, such as StageArchivesInformation and vStageSummaryTargetData. However, this doesn't cover everything - for example, it doesn't account for data that's been imported but not yet loaded into the cube, or data imported using a business rule.Is there a way to get a more complete audit trail for O#Import data, that focus on the Cube data rather than Stage data?

Hi Folks,We have 12 forecast scenarios and 12 FX rate tables for each FC scenario.When we update the FX Rates in one table, it's upsetting the status in all other Forecast scenarios, but not Actual.We don't want other scenarios status getting affected when ever FX rates updated. and there is impact status rules exists in our application.Appreciate your advise. Hi, We're on 7.4.  Is there a way to extract a posted journal from one application so that I can easily load it to another application.  This would be super useful for investigating issues.  At present, we can easily find imported data files, and load these into our test app. But I can't see any way to extract journals in the same way.  The only options seem to be extracting a .csv file,  which has the information but is not formatted in a way that can be loaded again.

Is it possible to format point labels in the BI Designer, in terms of text color and outline? For example, I'd like to remove the outline around the label, make the text bold and color black. Thanks!  

Hi all, I am trying to upload data to the text field Text3 in a UD2 dimension. I have been looking around in the available functions in the OneStream excel add-in, but I am not sure which one is the best for this. I tried the function  XFSetCell, however this function saves data to the amount field based on the Parameters supplied. I only need to upload a string of text to the Text 3 field of a UD2 member: Thank you all for your help!      

Hi, I'm trying to block input to UD3 None (for example) using the Cube setting in Data Cell Conditional Input,  but only for accounts that have a certain UD3 Constraint. Basically, I had to add None into the constraint for some rule logic,  but I don't want anyone to be able to enter data there by mistake. I normally test the Member Filters of blocking rule by just putting the Filter into a Quick View, but I am struggling with this one.  This is what I have: A#PL.Base.Where(UD3Constraint = MyUD3Constraint_1) But that does not work.  I think the issue is that the UD3 Constraint can vary by Cube, rather than being a strictly defined property of the member.  Not sure if it's possible to define the Cube in the Where clause? Any ideas welcome!

Hello - I have a dashboard with 6 buttons across the top - each one is set to display a different cube view. The time dimension for 4 of the CVs are set to workflow time, where the other 2 I want the users to be able to select a period from a list, because these 2 are designed to show historical variance commentary. I set up a member list parameter with the time periods and added it to the two cube views. Now when I open the dashboard, the prompt automatically appears for every CV. I checked and couldn't find a way to only have this prompt appear for the two cube views. What settings do I need to enable or disable for my dashboard so 4 out of the 6 run off workflow time, but when a user clicks a button for one of the 2 others, the time period prompt appears?

When using a second display monitor connected to my laptop the  Drag and Drop  of dimensions in Spreadsheet  Quickviews  does not work - when I place the Onestream applicatrion page  on this second monitor.  if i switch back to having the OneStream application QV on my laptop screen -  i have full functonality on moving dimensions into columns or rows in Qv's Any similiar exeriences with this ?   ( audio/visual setting on second displays)?)  best regards    Chris
