Hi everyone, I have a question regarding confirmation rules - is it possible to run confirmation rules from outside a workflow via a dashboard button or some other method? Some of our users who would like to see the status of their confirmation rules without having to complete the form and workflow. Currently, they have to mark all forms as complete, complete the workflow, and process the cube to see confirmation rule status. Then, once they see which rules are failing, they have to revert the forms workflow, then revert individual forms - it seems like a lot of extra steps. The forms nodes on our workflows are set up as "Form Input, Process, Confirm, Certify". One possibility we've considered is a dashboard where users can click a button that runs the confirmation rules for their current workflow, then return the status of those rules in a grid view, all without having to complete the forms workflow. I've created a grid view to show confirmation rule status for the currently selected
Hello everyone,We currently have a data import from Oracle that retrieves data from the active workflow entity. We would like to be able to schedule an import via the OneStream calendar for all of our companies; however, the data retrieved from Oracle always corresponds to that of the active workflow entity.Example: Import workflows selected in the calendar: E10, E11, E12…Import workflow names: E10_Import_Oracle / E11_Import_Oracle / E12_Import_OracleWorkflow displayed to the user: E10During the import, the stages of these three workflows all contain data from E10, which causes the transformation rules for E11 and E12 to fail, but not for E10.How can I retrieve the name of each workflow being used for the import so that the script can send the entity code to Oracle via the API?During the E10_Import_Oracle load: API script = requests data from entity E10During the E11_Import_Oracle load: API script = requests data from entity E11…Thank you for your help
If I build a cubeview that contains the desired POV and functions on its own, using FdxExecuteCubeView seems to work great. However, there is no documentation available on actually using the FDX functions and I can find no functional examples of how to pass the various filters/members from the FdxExecuteCubeView function to the cubeview it's actually calling. For example, I can enter T#2022M10 as part of the POV for the cube view and then FdxExecuteCubeView will create the table. However, if I pass the timeMemFilter a value of T#2022M10, I get no data. It seems obvious that I need to put something in the cube view POV to tell it to use this value but there's no indication of what that might be.Am I missing something obvious here? Is there some missing documentation or fundamental functionality that I'm unfamiliar with?
Hi everyone,I’m trying to look for .so file setup for SAP Connector (RFC Connection). In the document, only the DLL setup is specified and nothing regarding SAP sitting on Linux. Is there any documentations that I might have missed? I couldn’t find anything related to Linux. Thanks,Thomas
Is it possible to get the current WF POV in an extender business rule? Would anyone have an example of doing this? Thanks,Scott
I have a workflow step that loads to BiBlend. Workflow Name set to Blend.I am trying to use a DM Job to call a Extender Business Rule to execute the load, so I can schedule a DM Sequence.I call the Business Rule from a DM Job and pass in osPeriod = 2026M8 and wfName=Labor_Actual.HC_Load_BIBlend.Scenario is currently hardcoded into the rule and is set to “Actual”I think I have narrowed my issue to a missing scenario key. I am using this command in the rule BRApi.ErrorLog.LogMessage(si, "Cluster ScenarioKey=" & wfClusterPk.ScenarioKey.ToString) and it is writing a 0 to the log. The time and wfprofile keys are writing to log. Here is a section of my rule. The three parameters are listed in the text above, I did not want to lengthen this post unnecessarily.----------------------------------Dim wfClusterPk As WorkflowUnitClusterPk = BRApi.Workflow.General.GetWorkflowUnitClusterPk(si, wfName, scenarioName, osPeriod)BRApi.ErrorLog.LogMessage(si, "Cluster ProfileKey=" & wfCluste
Hello, What is the best way to send data from OneStream to Snowflake using an existing SIC ODBC connection? Currently I am using SIC ODBC connection to query data from Snowflake and now I would like to send data back to Snowflake.
Hi all,If I enter data in an Input Form without saving and then navigate to another Input Form workflow step, the "The selected item has not been saved" warning message is displayed. However, Cancel does not prevent navigation and the unsaved changes are lost.I've tested several other navigation scenarios (changing period, scenario, entity, navigating to dashboards, cube views, or non-Input Form workflow steps) and in those cases Cancel behaves as expected and preserves the unsaved data. The issue seems to occur only when moving from one Input Form workflow step to another.Any ideas on how to prevent unsaved changes from being lost if a user forgets to click Save before leaving the Input Form?
Hi everyone, We have a requirement from our business users to make it mandatory to attach supporting documentation to certain tasks before they can be marked as "Prepared" in Task Manager. We reached out to OneStream Support, and they confirmed this isn't supported out-of-the-box. They did advise that we could accomplish this by leveraging Business Rules or Event Handlers. Has anyone in the community encountered this request and successfully solved it? If so, we would love to hear your approach. Specifically: Which Event Handler type did you find works best for intercepting a Task Manager status change? Do you have any code snippets for checking if a file attachment exists on a specific task? Are there any performance impacts or pitfalls to watch out for when implementing this? Thanks in advance for any insights or examples!
I am unable to delete a Cube Root workflow for AOP due to an issue related to a workflow profile. The error occurs whenever I attempt to delete the workflow profile.I have already reset the scenario, checked all the data record tables, including the DataUnitCashStamp table, and even used a Custom Calculate BR to set the entity value to 0.I suspect that a form associated with this workflow profile was completed previously, and its log or reference still exists somewhere. Despite thorough checks, I am 100% certain that there is no data associated with this entity in any table. How can i delete the log associated with this workflow profile so i can be able to delete it ? I need to merge AOP and Forecast under the same suffix in the cube property, unless I can delete that workflow profile, i won't be able to do that. I appreciate the help !!
I have a situation where I'm trying to load trial balances from QuickBooks. The source file I'm receiving has three comma-separated columns - Account+Description, Debit, Credit.QuickBooks has a quirky output format where some debit balances are shown as "$-" (presumably to represent 0.00), leaving the credit column blank. If there is a credit value in the credit column, the debit column is blank. This is messing with OneStream's numeric processing of the Amount column when Amount is mapped to Column 2 (Debit column). It is rejecting the "$-" field values and the blank field values as Non-Numeric Amounts (verified in the XFL log file for the load).I can successfully replace '$-' with 0 using the Substitute Settings in the data source's Amount dimension, but I cannot figure out how to replace 'no value' in the Debit column with 0 (so that the valid Credit column values don't get skipped). I'm using a Parser Business Rule to return the net amount (debit column 2 minus cr
Is there an interface from Dynamics 365 into OneStream? I have seen some comments mention direct connection with D365 using oData API. We have several business units across the world that will need to push month end data from D365. Is there a way they can just push the data from their end or would it have to come from OneStream to get the data?
There was a similar request related to POV, deployed in Release 7.2, where when people search for Dimensions in POV, they can push 'Enter' and it returns search values. This does not work under Cube views and Guided reporting. It would save time if it was available in there as well. Generally using 'Enter' on the keyboard should work for all type of searches across the system.
Hi Team,My validation step failed because the source mapping is missing for blank records. I attempted to add a mapping with (blank) for the source value and None for the target value, but it didn’t work. How should blank source values be handled in the mapping? Can you please help me with this if anyone face similar issue ? Thank you
I uploaded the XFJ Excel template with the "Balanced by Entity" Journal Type. However, OneStream set back the Journal Type as "Balanced" instead of "Balanced by Entity after I imported the template . "Is "Balanced By Entity" not the correct selection? Thanks,
Hi All, I have a process that exports a dashboard and all of its components to XML. It then reads through the XML and creates new objects. The process works when I import the XML by hand. I was wondering if there is a way to have the code: 1) delete objects if they exist 2) import the XML to create the new objects. Thank you,Scott
Hi, I have encountered an error when running reset scenario that says "Error processing data. The item was not found. Entity, Parent, -1."I understand that the possible cause of this issue is that there might be orphaned entity members. However, in the application I am working on there are no orphaned members. Could there be any other possible cause that I could look into? There is not much detail in the logs that I can find. Any suggestion/recommendation is appreciated :) Thanks!
We have recently received feedback from several entities regarding outdated account members that still exist within our Transformation Rules. Before making any changes, I wanted to gather input on best practices for handling these scenarios. Specifically, I’m unsure whether it is appropriate to remove or delete these members, or if they should be retained and continue to be mapped for historical reporting purposes. If anyone has guidance or experience with managing outdated members in Transformation Rules, your insight would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, we would like to know if it is possible to load multiple columns of amounts and annotations as a matrix load ( we have 3 date columns and 3 columns for amounts and it would be an account matrix as each column would go to a different account). We are able to load a matrix load where one column is an annotation and there are multiple amount columns, but when there are multiple annotation and amount columns, we have not been successful.See screenshot. The date columns would be loaded as annotations, the Begbal, Pmt, Interest columns to amount. Each column would be going to a different account. Please advise, thank you
I'm trying to write a BR that returns data using HTTPClient. I've tested out the api.open-meteo.com example and can successfully pull data from this site. The site that I am trying to query requires a site certificate for authentication and I'm not sure how to tell my BR to use the site certificate that is already installed on the SIC server. On the SIC server, I can manually run the query to the source site via a web browser which prompts me to select the appropriate certificate. Has anyone been able to include a site certificate to a HTTPClient request? Thanks, Cosimo
I’m experiencing an issue where the email template preview sends without any problem, but when I execute an import with DISM itself (actual), the email is not delivered. There are no visible errors or warnings with the data import itself.Has anyone encountered this issue before? What configurations, permissions, sender settings, or campaign requirements should be checked when preview works but live sending fails?
I'm trying to do a Composite Rule to Bypass an account if it's part of a specific Scenario? Can you use Scenario as part of an Account Composite Rule? This is my statement "A#[525300]:S#[Budget_Dist]" that isn't working.
Hi All, I am trying to extract the annotations uploaded by our entities by creating a cubeview. I entered all relevant POV information in the cubeview, however, no annotations show. Does any of you have experience with extracting annotations via a cube view?
We have been using the onestream REST api for a couple years now. In the past we had been using Open-ID-connect (OIDC) to authenticate against an Azure AD ("Entra") directory, and then generate reports from cubeviews or data adapters. During our current upgrade to v8, we started receiving lots of mixed messages from onestream employees about whether OpenID is still supported. I'm assuming that the OS support team knows what they are talking about, but it seems to contradict the docs in substantial ways. Moreover, it contradicts common sense. What they are telling me is that in the "hosted" version of Onestream v8 on Azure, we are NO LONGER allowed to use OIDC to authenticate a service principal (app registration) and connect to the REST api. Instead, they are saying that a new engineering team at onestream (called "OIS" team?) have rebuilt the authentication layers and they removed OIDC support in favor of PAT tokens. Supposedly the PAT tokens are the only way t
Hello Everyone. We are having some issues with IC Matching Standard Dashboards and unable to find a root cause - not sure if this is a Bug.Intercompany Matching criteria is Set to Parent currency and all other dimensions at Top, However when we post a journals in Parent currency with a partner this matching Dashboard does not consider this Journal line Item for IC matching and none of the Dashboards shows that. Please help with any insight you have or if you had seen any workaround for the same. Thanks in Advance !Satish
