Forced to Enter Budget Data by Month Instead of Year
Hi all,
I'm experiencing an issue with a budget scenario that previously allowed annual data entry. In the prior budget year (2026), I could enter amounts at the year level and OneStream would automatically spread the values across months or quarters as configured.
After rolling the budget forward to the next year, this functionality no longer works. I am now forced to enter data at the monthly level. If T#|WFTime| is used, the cells turn green, and no input is allowed.
I've compared the Scenario dimension settings between the working and non-working scenarios, and they appear identical:
- Tracking Frequency: Range
- WF Time: 2027
- Start Time: 2027M1
- End Time: 2030M12
- Input Frequency: Monthly (default), then Quarterly in subsequent years
Initially, I thought the issue was related to the Input Frequency being set to Monthly. However, the prior budget scenario that worked correctly had the same setup, yet still allowed yearly input with automatic spreading by month or quarter.
Has anyone encountered this behavior before, or are there additional settings outside the Scenario dimension that could be controlling whether annual-level budget input and spreading are available?
