Hi all,We built Cube Views with suppressed members to improve Cube View performance, as there would be too many rows visible in the Cube View without suppression. We use the "Allow Insert Suppressed Member" to insert suppressed members. In our case, intercompany data should be able to be added here. Our row suppression settings are as sown below: When an entity does not contain any data yet (a newly acquired entity), it is impossible to add a suppressed member, as all rows are suppressed.Is there a way to tackle this, so we are able to still suppress rows, but with the possibility to add suppressed rows, even when there is no data yet?Kind regards,Joris Klein Hulsecpmview

I have an interesting error appear when attempting to run an XFBR that simply returns "10"; in a C# XFBR rule.  The stack trace is below.  But this does appear to be an issue with the OneStream Libraries themselves rather than anything that has been developed - is that right?   Summary: Error in DbConnInfo.~DbConnInfo(). I would like to know if it is possible to search for contains when selecting data in a combo box. Right now when we search in the combo box for a certain piece of information it is filtered by starts with but we want to know if it is possible to perform this search by contains in a combo box.    

Hello, I'm writing a cube view and our old report (not in OS) has a max value calculation in the columns that looks at the current years values for each entity. I tried writing a GetDataCell(Max(A#Account)) but it's giving me no values. I looked through Golf Stream but didn't find anything but a member ranking which doesn't help. I've also looked at the other Min/Max posts, but they're not exactly what I need. Thanks, Will

Hello community,  Has anyone used a cube view extender rule to change between the portrait/landscape paper orientation on a PDF report? In our example, we are trying to use a parameter that allows the user to select the column template set needed, and although the idea of calling out the CV column template name sounds logical, I don't think OS has the capability to do this, similar to a column name as shown in the below example. Putting it out there just in case, as I promised our user we will explore different avenues.

hi we are using stored calc to apply tax rate on pre tax income and eventually calculating net income. Tax rate is pretty static throughout the year but it may change in middle of the year. we've given users to enter tax rate as applicable throughout the year so this tax computation remains dynamic. Actuals scenario is YTD.  the issue we're facing is if we change the % (lets say 20% up until Jan to May and starting April, it goes up to 25%). In other words, we want April YTD tax to be 25%, it is not footing to 25% at lower level. any ideas how to achieve this?

We have a dashboard attached to the high level workflow that displays the status of specific steps within workflows. These dashboards utilize Report components adapted from the standard ones. While I understand how to make cosmetic changes to these reports, I need advice on changing the type of data displayed. In particular I would like to display the name of the user who certified the workflow step. Thank you in advance.  

Hello I would like to change the 'can modify data' parameter of the two columns via a business rules : I want to put a conditionnal rule that says if the column "is store" = yes the corresponding cells in the columns "Opening Date" and "Closing Date" seizable if not the cells won't seizable. if anyone has already done this , your help will be much appreciated. thank's. I have a parameter for time that acts as the default for all reports. I'm trying to store in it the year. I want the parameter to take the GlobalYear so that I don't have to change the value manually every year.  Basically, I'm attempting this:  But it's not working

When I run a OneStream book, the time zone in the footer is in UTC, which is 5 hours different from my time zone CST.   However, if I run the individual cube views that are included in that book, the time zone is converted from UTC to CST.  How do I get my books to properly reflect the CST time zone in the footer of each page?  Book in UTC time Ran cube view from book afterward and it is in correct CST time Thanks!  

Hi - I am trying to call the DM job using RESTAPI call from Powershell using Basic Authentication . It is an On-Premise Environment and Version is 6.6. I know I can use the task scheduler but I requirement is to use the API. I have a PS Script but it failing and also failing in Postman with 404. For any other POV combination- the result returned should be zero. Hi there - Im looking to add a formula to my columns located in the cube view. I need it to pull global time + remaining target months. This involves two scenarios, so S#Actual and S#Target_FY24.    So If my POV global time is July, I need the formula to take (7 months of actuals using S#Actual) + (5 remaining months of target using S#target_FY24). I also need it to be dynamic so I dont have to touch each month, so when the POV gets switched to August, it would be (8 months of actuals + 4 months of target)

I have the routine below that exports data from a datatable to a file.  I am writing to "Documents\Users\" & si.UserName.   The file gets created correctly; I am now trying to pick up that file with a business rule.  I am not familiar with all of the XF file functions.  I need to ftp that file to a remote server.  How do I go about getting the full path the Document\Users folder from another Business Rule. I have an XFBR on the time filter on a Data Management step that pulls a list of time. When I run it on the Data Management tab it runs just fine and works. Now when i try to put that on a button to run on a dashboard, I get an error. I have tried using the Execute Data Management Sequence Server Task as well as running it through an extender rule. I am passing the required parameters to the either situation but im still getting an error? Why would it work on the Data Management Tab and not work while running it through a button?      

Hi all,  We are building cube views which require the expansion of three dimensions in the rows.  We use the "Allow Insert Suppressed Member" function to insert suppressed members in two dimensions. Since the expansion would generate a very long list of combinations, we want to use the function "Allow Sparse Row Suppression" to improve the cube view performance. But when a period doesn't contain any data, the allow sparse row suppression function would suppress all the rows, and we won't be able to insert suppressed members.  In the cube view rows, we have the suppression setting as in below. Can anyone give us some advice on how we can tackle this? Thanks in advance!

Our customer has been importing ANSI-encoded files to OS, which contains spanish characters, as 'ñ' and accents, for years. These characters were recognized properly until OS 6.8. But after migrating to 8.2.2, they are no long: 'España' is shown in the workflow as 'Espa�a'. This is a big issue for the customer, as they use the workflow stage tables for OS reports and export that data to a Data Warehouse. We have tested encoding a file as UTF-8 and worked, but changing the encoding the files is not a good solution for the customer as they load files from many different sources. This looks related to the migration: Is there any way to load ANSI-encoded files without this problem?

I have recently had the request of creating a Dimensions CSV Export File with Parent/Child Relationships including some member properties. I realised this wasn’t straightforward when Extensibility is used across the dimensionality. Specially with the requirement of presenting the hierarchy with the correct Sort Order. See Example Below: With the following set up: The CSV Out Put should be: I am sharing the solution we have implemented in case to help anyone with the same type of request/requirement. The attached Extender Business rule could be used in a Data Management Step as follows: It will create CSV file within the User Temp Folder with all the Parent Child Relationships including some properties: Currency (Only For Entity Type Dim), Text1-Text8. The solution will extract All Dimensions Type, including system dimensions. The code could be easily adapted to work of a Dimension Type List instead. Also, additional properties could be extracted as needed by modifying the Sub Routin

Hi all,   I came across a very helpful post that shows how to automate extracting metadata for backup. (original code at the bottom of post) https://community.onestreamsoftware.com/t5/Accepted-Code-Samples/Extender-Automate-Application-Metadata-Backup/ta-p/6914    I tried this business rule and it works perfectly, however I am looking for something a little more specific since this returns a massive dump of data. Basically, I am looking to automate a metadata xml extract of specific dimensions and their members / relationships separately into different files and combine them into a zip package. Is there any documentation that shows how to edit this xmlOptions syntax below to include specified return xml values instead of just extracting all items?  'Set the extract options Dim xmlOptions As New XmlExtractOptions xmlOptions.ExtractAllItems = True   Ideally in the package, each dimension would have two files. In Application tab > Dimensions > Entity Dimensions > Member Properties, I have something configured in Text 4 and Text 5  field in Vary By Scenario Type And Time section. The goal is to display these 2 field values in a dashboard.   Questions are 1. How can I retrieve the data in SQL in data adapter? I input test data in Text 4 and find the value in both RelationshipProperty and MemberProperty tables. Which table and column should I use? What filters are needed to get the expected value? 2. Any data dictionary for OneStream application database? For this type of requirement, use SQL and data adapter to get the value for specific fields in the front end, how can I find the respective table / column / filter. Much Appreciated!      

The Data Cell is read-only because the Parent Workflow Profile 'FR Food HR' has no active Input Profiles for the Workflow Channels that are assigned to the Data Cell's Account and/or UD member. Entity=entityname, Account=Accountname, Origin=Forms.  

I have an issue I would be very interested in getting community's take on and I would greatly appreciate any direction: I am trying to deal with the case of a nested ownership: one  of our 100% owned subs owns a minority stake in the other sub, At the top consolidated level there should be no Minority Interest , but at intermediary consolidated level there should be. I created an intercompany account that is calculated at that intermediary consolidated level. Calculation seem to work fine.
