I cannot select "Copy a Quick View" while my cursor is in the Quick View and I refreshed the sheet from the menu. Why? What am I missing?

Is there a way to make a data source process rows that do not have a value in the Amount column? For example,  an import file has 4 rows: Account Name Cost Center Name Amount Cash G&A 5,000 AR G&A 5,000 AP G&A   Retained Earnings G&A 10,000 OneStream will only process the Cash, AR, and Retained Earnings rows becuase the AP row has no value in the Amount column. While a complex expression can evaluate the empty amount in the AP row and retun "0", the Data Sources only processes the three rows into Stage.  

Hello, We are working on a navigation dashboard which navigates users to corresponding workflow when they click on a button. It works perfectly but we want to go further. In stead of positioning on the workflow (for example, current WFProfile is ConsoReporting.EntryForms1), is it possible to directly open the first required form on this workflow profile? In version 8.2, rows get suppressed when using .Tree in combination with an indent level…is this expected behavior? For example: If I setup a cube view with Accounts in the row (e.g., A#Account.Tree) and have indention set to 0, it will display the account and its descendants properly. But, if I change the indention to 2, the row will be suppressed.

Is it possible to create a custom user prompt / error message to pop up when a user tries to complete a Form and triggers a FormsEventHandler? I have tried throwing an Exception as below but the problem is it includes additional information about the business rule error that is irrelevant to the end user and could cause confusion. Is it possible to create a cleaner message that just contains the message itself.    

Hi,I have a report book with Report item which contains a Dashboard Report. The Dashboard component is a Grid View with a BI Blend Data Adapter.I get the following error when the report book is opened from FileShare.I am using Dashboard Report type in Report Book, and per Design and Reference Guide: The chart and report items are application dashboard chart components, rather than dashboard components.Does it mean I cannot use the Grid View Component in Report Book? I have the BI Blend data in a Dashboard Grid View component, and I need to get this into the book.Please let me know if you are aware of any workaround to achieve this. Thanks in advance.AK

Hi all, I am exploring the functionality of cell formatting based on the text of column header 3-6, I noticed there is a conditional formatting ColE1HeaderDisplayText and ColE2HeaderDisplayText, but not sure if the same function could be applied to header 3 -6 as well. Thank you.  

We are building a Consolidation application with 10 Base Entities and approx. 2000 Cost Centers. Each Cost Center is valid for only one Entity. In Other words a group of Cost Centers are valid for One Entity and the same group of Cost centers are NOT valid for any other entities. Given this requirement is it best approach to create Separate cubes for the 10 Entities and apply Extensibility on Cost Center dimension with Valid Cost centers for the Entity OR Create One Cube and apply UD Constraint on Entity with the Group of Valid Cost Centers ? Appreciate any thoughts or recommendation between these 2 options.  

Hello,  I am trying to change the columns of a cube view so that using entity ChildrenInclusive we get each column sectioned by each entity and in one single tab. We want this to be in one tab, not multiple tabs so I didn't think a book would work. I was able to make it look like this with these columns members. However, in the original CV we had specific formatting for the Variance B/W and Variance % columns which I cannot figure out how to apply to the multiple items in the nested column member. This is what I have currently for format. This works, but applies the pink formatting across the first 3 columns when I only want it on the Variance B/W column. Is this even possible? NumberFormat = [#,###,0;(#,###,0);0], If (RowName Contains FSLI) AND (ColName Contains Entity) AND ((CellAmount > 4000000) OR (CellAmount < -4000000)) Then BackgroundColor = Pink Any ideas or other ways to go about this? We can create books that contain Excel Export Items but when using parcel service to send them, they are attached as pdf files. We need to send them as excel files. 

Hello, Is there a simple way to apply multiple data sources into one BI Blend Dashboard Graph? For example, a bar graph that compares Actual sales to PY.  I am running a SQL script to return data for my data adapters. I've added them as components to my BI Viewer, and can select one or the other under the "Data Source" drop down. I just can't manage to get both sets of data into one chart. I know this is feasible but think I am missing something. Thanks!

Hello OneStreamers, I'm looking out for a potential solution to create a custom Entity Drop Down that displays Text2 property value inside the dropdown. Eg: Entity Name Text 2 Property EntA ABC EntB DEF EntC GHI Now, when I fetch the Entity List, the dropdown should show like: ABCDEFGHI And NOT the entity names. I'm trying to run cubeviews by way of the REST api on Version: 8.2.2.16127 We use PAT tokens for a native onestream user. Suddenly I started receiving meaningless errors about a day ago like so: "An error occurred returning data for 'Cube View RPT_SVC_PbopHierarchyBase', Please check the Error Log for more details. Unable to create database connection. There is no open application"         Does anyone know what this means?  Is it a bug?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi All, We have a requirement with regard to our data mapping. There are certain data fields which are marked as XXXXX. We want to skip these by using for example X? and X* but that does not seem to work. How can we simply skip every value which starts with and X? Thanks in advance.

Another system on the network is pushing data into OneStream using a REST API. OneStream has a DataManagement group and a step to absorb this data. Is there a way we can pass back a custom response to the calling system?   Thank You for all your help in advance. Indu

Hi All,  we are trying to check the data before deleting a member, the issue is with derived data if we have derived data in that member not able to track it. while deleting the member it show having data but in real there is no data only 0 derived is there not sure how to handle this. Please let me know if any more details required.

I'm trying to convert a 5YP forecasting file into an XFD excel import file. Unfortunately the business currently plans by year and 'scenario' (UD5) on the column so it's not as simple as adding the xfd tokens in. This is a simplified example of the planning file: Has anyone got any prior experience of creating an xfd file with multiple dimensions in the columns? Ideally this would all be kept in one sheet, rather than splitting it one sheet per UD5.

I want to perform a subtraction of columns 1 and 2, I did it with the code below, but I see that it affects my performance too much, so I would like to know what other option I can do to do something like this without affecting the performance too much, I added that it waits 600 seconds but it still takes too much time. I would like to apply conditional formatting to a Cube View column that contains "Annotation", "Variance Explanation" or other textual data. I have tried  IsNoData and "CellAmount" conditions, but with no success.   I would appreciate any direction. Thank you!   Yan Savinsky
