Hi!  Is there a way to verify the user types and total that you are licensed to have within the Onestream application?  I want to compare this number to our user agreement.  TYIA!

I have been investigating but did not find a solution. Similarly, I would like to ask if passing with .base will work the same way as if it were in a step or not. Hello, my team and I have encountered the following unexpected behavior: District Loan Detail Dashboard On the initial display of this screen when we click "Run Drill-down" button, the 2 parameters from the Cube View do not get passed into the Business Rule correctly. As shown below in the error message:   It passed in GRP_16 which was from the previous "Run Drill-down" process, instead of the selected row's value of GRP_26 (UD7: "26 - Principal", Flow: "EndBalLoad"). So on initial display, clicking on the first row, which is already selected, does nothing and passes the incorrect (previous) values from the cube view. I have to click on a different row and then back to the first row to get the correct parameter values passed to the Business Rule. If only one row is in the cube view I will never be able to return the correct results because it is passing the incorrect value.   This issue has been present ever since we upgraded to version 7.3.3 from version 6.4.0.   We

Hi all, I'm trying to figure out how to insert a field within my report's Group Footer that would perform a calculation on other Group Sum fields. In my Group Footer, I'm summing up Contract Amount and Contract Margin fields from the Detail band. I would like to calculate the Margin % based on these sums and have no idea how this is done.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Cosimo    

Hi all,Can we schedule a task to run on a business day each month, for example, between the 1st and 7th? I know we can set it for specific days and weeks, but is there a way to make it more dynamic?Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.Best,Jacky 

 we have a query where we have a list of Tasks that are running one after the other but are not linked, and if one of them fails for whatever reason, the rest of the tasks also stop running. We have been informed by OS that this is not possible to configure this behaviour within the specific task or Data management so we can control which tasks stop and which ones need to be completed in case one of them fails. We believe this makes sense to have a parameter / setting to set against each individual tasks if they just stop running or continue to completion in case of of the other tasks fail. At the moment they all fail when there is an error.  

How I can clear data in Orphans members before Deleting them permanently

Dear all, Is there a way to block the consolidations if a technical parent is picked? There's a CubeView having the entity tree in rows and consolidation levels in columns. I'd like to only block all consolidations that have a technical parent (this would just polute the database). Is there a code example that could do this?Thank you for the help.Best regards,Carlos

Hi! I am building a CubeView and currently exceeding the 4 maximum column overrides. To work around this, I am thinking the next best option is to build a business rule or UD8 calculation that combines multiple formulas but need help putting together the language (unfortunately, coding is not in my wheelhouse). Does anyone have a current business rule or UD8 calculation that I can utilize that subtracts one column from another for multiple criteria? For example, below is what I currently have in the Column Overrides. I think I would still need to put the UD8 calculation in an override because of conflicting GetDataCell formulas in my rows/columns but because there are various views (QTD & YTD) and scenarios (Actual & PYRates), ideally would need to combine some of the formulas together in the calculation as to not exceed the 4 maximum overrides. Hope that makes sense. All of the column references is a gross margin calculation. For example: QTD_CY = Current quarter gross margin

Does anyone know if a Cube View Extender Rule can be used to dynamcially change a Header Text selection on the Cube View (i.e. Name, Description, Name and Description)?  I am trying but it does not seem that this option can be changed but maybe someone has had better success.

We have a requirement to create reporting that utilizes the number of months since a company was acquired to perform math on specific columns of data. We would like to attach the acquisition date in a text field of an entity, and create a member formula for a statistical account that calculates the number of months between that acquisition date and whatever month the Point of View is referencing (we could convert the POV month to a specific date if necessary). Is this type of calculation possible within stored member formulas?

Hi all,I'm quite new to OS integration pieces and being struglled with a request from my client to load dimension members using their data lake, so the memebers would be updated automatically or by a scheduled event.The database is already configured at SIC and working fantastically well, however, I can't figure how to use it's features to load the metadata members to one of our UD dimensions.I read a lot of topics here in the forum, but couldn't find anything that matches my case.I already tried to create a Extender BR, but I'm getting a "Object variable or With block variable not set" error message when running the "api.Parser.ProcessSQLQuery" function. Not sure if I'm doing something extremely wrong, so I"m assuming that this part of the api must be used only within Connector BR's.I also trie to create a connector rule to do the job, but when setting it up at the dimension property, nothing happened (not sure if I missed something here).Any help on this will be really appreciated!Re

Working with BI Designer and cannot get the Time order in place sequentially. The Cube View data source is pulling the correct time, data, alongside the POV for workflow. The WF filter builder is in order. However, cannot get the two months (Oct and Nov) in the appropriate place. Tried to sort and use Start/End Dates too in settings for WF Time Filter: T#WF, T#WFPrior1, T#WFPrior2, T#WFPrior3, T#WFPrior4, T#WFPrior5, T#WFPrior6, T#WFPrior7, T#WFPrior8, T#WFPrior9, T#WFPrior10, T#WFPrior11, T#WFPrior12, T#WFPrior13Has anyone experienced this before?   

hi, I am trying to insert a chart into a Word xfdoc from the Word Insert menu and completing some data points, which I can do.  However, when I try to run/process the document out of OneStream it gives me an error message: Entries cannot be opened multiple times in Update mode.  Is a native Word chart not allowed?  The data is not linked to OneStream (although that would be ideal).  Is there any Event handler to work around this?  I'm in 8.0, not sure if this is available in Narrative Reporting in 8.2+?thanks,Greg

Is it possible to make an attribute member run a comparison based on the stored text attribute for a specific Time Period ?Ex: - Text8 & 2023M1 =>  FO_SUPM      - Text8 & 2023M6 => FO_HYPMBased on the cell pov, is it possible to make the attribute member adapt to the context's Time Period instead of picking the stored Default Value for the Text 8 ?Thanks. 

There are two workflow profiles named Submission and Consol, Import TB falls under Submission and  Consol is under TotalConsol WF. When a new TB is imported and loaded to Import TB WF, the Consolidate Status ( Green Circle ) remains unchanged for TotalConsol WF. so another user will not know that the Consolidate step has to be retriggered as a new TB has been loaded.Is it possible to create a dependency such that whenever the the Import step is retriggered, the Status ( Green Circle ) of Consolidate is reset for TotalConsol WF ( to blue circle )

I have some business rules that need to identify which environment the BR is running in. This is because they does different things in each environment. In one BR i want the process to run in Prod but not QA or Dev, in another i want to copy extract files to an external shared folder which is different for each environment.  I was thinking of using a dashboard parameter but if after a Prod to Dev/QA refresh i forget to change the value of the parameter, the BR will copy the files to the Prod external folder and i don't want that to happen. this is why i am trying to find a way to identify the environment without relying on the value in a parameter.  Any thoughts? In a quick view, I am using the syntax T#Pov:V#Periodic,T#POV,V#Trailing12MonthTotal in the 'Time' dimension. I have a specific requirement where I need column A to display as "2024M1 (or the short description) Periodic" and column B to display as "2024M1 (or the short description) Trailing12Month Total". I can see there are variables available to pull in the POV description, but I'm wondering if there's a way to get my desired outcome of providing all descriptions for all dimension members in my filter when they are not linked to the POV. 

I've been hunting around for information on the last run date for cubeviews, I may not be looking hard enough but I don't think it's stored anywhere outside of taskactivity? If this information is out there somewhere in an easier to grab format please do point me in the right direction, otherwise is my only option to query this information from the TaskActivity DB myself and hope that it hasn't been cleared in the timeframe I'm looking to query? As a bit of background we have hundreds of cubeviews at this point and I'd like to clear up the estate. Ideally I'd be starting with data on when each cubeview was last run (possibly supplemented with how many times it has been run in the past year), followed by querying with the relevant departments whether the cubeviews are needed  based on this data.

Hi, we are in the process of migrating into V8. while testing some of the dashboard we observe that BI Viewer is not rendering charts when it refers to dashboard. when running alone BI Viewer it is working fine.  can you anybody please help me this on priority . is there any option to enable?  working fine on 7.1. Thanks.

Is there a way to block running consolidation or any other calculations on a specific scenario both by the end-user and by the administrator? This limitation is to be applied only to the one archived scenario.
