I have created a Cube View showing Entity, Account and IC members in rows. Under the Data section, I have set the "Use Suppression Settings On Parent Rows" to True and it is working fine. The entity name will not show for every account/IC. However, when I export it to Excel, the entity name will repeat on every account lines.  Is there a way to  get the "Suppress Parent Row" function to work also when exporting to Excel?  Thanks

We are loading files into OS that have substantial amount of data, for some reason I am able to import the file but upon validating, I do not see any kicks out or any error, the validate tab stays the same and Load tab remains greyed out. I am unable to load the  cube. Anyone else experienced this before?Thanks GSJ 

I am looking for an option to read the parsed Excel file XFD range and check if it contains any #Value! cells. I am able to find a point in TransformationEventHandler business rule to capture the parsed data (TransformerObject.Parser.DelimitedParsedValues), but it's not giving all parsed data every time and giving only few lines sometime.Can you please suggest some solution to validate Excel file XFD range before loading it into cube.Also where can I find the details of the classes in OneStream specifically for OneStream.Shared.Engine.StageRangeContent

Hello, When using the Book functionalities, one could loop parameters and change variables. That being said, I am looping a UD1 parameter (parameter name : MY_UD1), that is used by an XFCELL function in another parameter (parameter name : MY_UD1_VALUE). My question is : do I need to use a "change variable" in order to change the value in MY_UD1_VALUE (which is calculated by an XFCELL) ? My client is using the 7.2.3.14520 server and getting an error message that says:Unable to log on User ''.  Your client XF version '7.2.14520' is incompatible with the XF server version '7.2.2.14307'.We get that error message when using the URL or the (7.2.3..14520) Windows client.  Same error. We are able to click through and login.Any ideas?

We have a requirement to download the registers data into an Excel Book with all Account as different Sheets and that too from within one stream. One STream table view is the best option provided to fetch the data from one stream. The question here is we have 100+ Accounts in there, which we need to bring in the tabs, and to achieve that we need to add all tabs 1 by 1 under Spread Sheet - Table view (Refer to attached screenshot). I noticed that the application tables have an odd time format in column called timeid   is there another table that houses the times in 2023M3 format or is there a way to convert this column easily when using it in a SQL data adaptor?

Hi, We are working on Consolidation application with 'OOB and Store share' algorithm type. Came across an requirement to eliminate balances on few GLs with C#Elimination and O#Elimination member. Below calculate function worked randomly for few entities (step consol structure) and not for all. Any suggestions to improve on below logic ? Hello!  My brain is mush so I'm posting this for the bigger audience to please help me brainstorm or answer me directly if it's possible 🙂  Can I use a middle digit on an account name in a member filter? For example, the 4th digit of our cost centers represents location but I'm wondering if I can actually do anything with that. I want to list all CCs with a 4 in that spot but can't quite figure out a good member filter that works. I tried ? like the placeholders in transformation rules and * to no avail. Here's a sample member filter for reference (I'm using it in a QV): A#RD_tot.base.where(name starts with 'CC_SAP_***4') Any thoughts? I could add that fourth digit in a text field or otherwise create an alternate hierarchy but I'm wondering if there's a way to utilize it as is. Any thoughts are welcome!  Thanks & happy Friday! 

Hi. I am trying to forecast OpEx accounts based on a seeding method. I am storing the method on a specific month by account and some UD dimensions and based on the selected method want to apply different math for those combinations. The issue i am facing is that when looping through my original data buffer, where the methods are stored, i need to change the Scenario, Period and View member for the looped databuffer cell and then sotore that value. Hi, I want to retrieve into a Business Rule and pass it on to a CubeView row label the value stored in a UD text property. ie UD4 Text3 for example presuming that this is relative to the current Workflow Scenario/Time setting In snippets I have found this : 'Dim sValue As String = BRApi.Finance.UD.Text(si, dimTypeId, memberId, textPropertyIndex, varyByScenarioTypeId, varyByTimeId) I am aware that the Text1 property attached to the WorkFlowProfile has the folowing attributes to get the various values stored under each TextN property field.Attribute Index Is: Text1 = 18000, Text2 = 20000, Text3 = 22000, Text4 = 24000 So what is the appropriate syntax in a Business Rule that I could bring in the UDN TextN values. I am looking to get more information on how the OneStream Parameter Dialog Box figures out what parameters to present for the end user when they run cube view report. Is there a way to leverage that same functionality to create a delimited listing of the user parameter inputs that can be displayed on the report header or footer?   I know that you can simply add all the parameter references into the header or footer but I am looking for something that would dynamically update to account for new parameters as they are added into a cubeview report.

What is the best approach to point to a different field in a Direct Connection Data Source. I am familiar with importing both local and USD currency (not using translation) by selecting the appropriate columns in a Delimited File, and this has worked fine in the past. I am now trying to do the same in Direct Connection to a Data Source. I tried using the Set and Get Global Variable as shown below, but the results are not as expected. For example I am expecting a USD value of 15482.72 and it is returning 22.61, this value is not even close in the set of data rows returned by the SQL query. Here is the complex expression I have in the Amount Field:And in the Functional Functional currency field I have the following complex expression: Any help is greatly appreciated. 

I have a process that causes contention if launched concurrently by users. Is there a way to check if a session with a specific description is already running? I would like to abort the session if another session with the same name is already running. I tried looking through properties and found "GetTaskActivityItem", but the definition and sample are not of much help.

How does fragmentation on the OneStream Datarecord tables impact performance? I have an application with a lot of tables having fragmentation > 90%, but how big of an impact does this have on performance? Or do the Datarecord tables/logic/databuffer work in a different way? In BI Viewer,  Is it possible to drilldown to the base level members using Pivot Grid within the same dimension. Like if I pull Entity dimension in a row then is there any way to drill down to the base level members ?Also, Can filters list out the members in a hierarchical /tree format?  Generally combo box/list/tree map displays it in a flat structure so is there any alternative way to achieve it ?

Hi all, I have a dashboard with an SQL table editor component. Through the component in the dashboard, I can save text to the table, including special characters. For example, there is no problem in saving a string containing α (alpha).   Now I am trying to load a CSV file to that same table. The file contains some special characters too. To load the file, I have built a business rule which contains the following command: loadResults = BRApi.Utilities.LoadCustomTableUsingDelimitedFile(si, SourceDataOriginTypes.FromFileUpload, filePath, fileinfo.XFFile.ContentFileBytes, "|", "App", "LOAD_TABLE", "Merge", lfieldtokens, True)   The special characters are not recognised, and this is the result when loading TestNameαβπ.   Is there a way to load the CSV file and preserve the special characters?

Hello All,  I am new to OneStream trying to write a Value Override business rule for some investment accounts, The rule works without account filter. How ever I want to restrict this to Accounts with Text2 tag as "CADOverride". Was going through our app to lock/certify some workflows and noticed that there seems to be a function that I have never noticed before, there is a Corporate Certification Management menu item with two sub items, Unlock/uncertify ancestors and Certify/lock ancestors.  Does anyone know what this does, it's the first time I have noticed it.

I have a scenario where I modified the member property:Number of No Input Periods Per Workflow Unit - 4I thought this would prevent users from inputting data into the first 4 periods (Jan - April).  However, it seems as though it is not functioning or locking the periods.  I can still input into these periods.Am I doing something wrong?Thanks,Sean
