Hi all,I have an issue whereby I'm loading our company actuals into OneStream, but if a General Ledger code has no data in it but had data in previous months, I think OneStream assumes the YTD value to be zero and so the opposite total of the previous months is being loaded.So for example the YTD total of repairs & maintenance may be £100 at Apr-22, and in May-22 there are no further transactions so the YTD position is still £100. However as no transactions occurred in May, when the data is loaded      -£100 appears in May.I've checked the DateSource and TransformationRules we have set up, I cant see a reason why this would be happening as it's all set up as 'Periodic', and so only the data from the initial load should be include.Does anyone have any ideas as to where the problem my lie, or where I could look to try and see why this is happening?Many thanks,Ged

Hi,I have persistent derived figures in some calculated accounts that I cannot delete.My account is set with ZeroViewFoNonAdj = YTD, but for some reason the derived figures still appear in Grey in my Cube View:Is there an soft way to clear or reset this (except a Clear/ reset scenario) ?Thank you.Aurélien 

Hi All,We're currently trying to map IC relationships in the transformation rules where the source data doesn't contain this field. We can map this based on the GL account from the ERP system but just unsure on how to do this in OneStream. Essentially we'd like to use 1-1 mapping but based a different column other than the IC in the source, is this possible?Thanks,

We have a bunch of related party accounts that need to equal other locations within the company similar to intercompany. It would be nice if this can be added to the IC matching table that is on the workflow. I do not want these to eliminate but have visibility to the locations that these accounts are out of balance. Has anyone dealt with something similar to this and if so how do you go about it?

Hi All -    I am attempting to export Stage Data through a Data Management Job using a Business Rule. The customer is hoping to remove some columns from the export and filter down the data by selecting Entity & UD1 prior to the export. Has anyone ever modified the data export sequence extender rule?     Thanks, Emily

Hi- Our scenario is set up as Range ( say 2022M1 to 2024M12). I have a database table which have Jan to dec as columns and I have Year also as a column. So we have different year 2022, 2023 as rows and the data is in Jan to dec. IS there any way to load all of this together. Right now i can use a matrix data and put in a complex expression which can either say workflow time & "M1" etc or i can read a literal parameter read the year to be loaded and i can concat and return in the data source. But is there a way in data source complex expression or a parser business rule that I can get the value of another column  in the data source , so i can reference what is the field value of the year and the concatenate that.

Dear community, I have a Connector-type business rule that works like a charm.However, the SQL query which is the source of this connector is currently returning data for all entities, while this should be use for each entities that are affected to the given workflow profile. --> What is the best way to achieve a connector business rule that would be filtered by workflow profile entities ? Hi !I am trying to use a Drill Back option in my Data Connector.So far, I get the data from my connector in the staging area, which is great. Now I am trying to open an invoice document, which is stored noth in FileShare, or in Application Database for test purposes.However, even though I get the drill back types name, when trying to open the PDF file I only get the message "querying source system" and then nothing happen!Do you know of any reason why ? I thought it was a simple business rule ... Regards,

Business Rules can be used to load data into OneStream even after certification and Data locking.  Rule writers must take care and ensure that the rules has syntax lines to prevent such things for happening. Any other comments on this topic from the experts?

Hi!   I have a matrix source file with cost centers (UD1) in different columns. As I see it I run in to two problems. First one is that I extract a separate file for each entity, and different entities have different amount of cost centers. The second problem is that a file can have more than 100 columns and I want to avoid to create that many source dimensions, if it is even possible at all. So is it possible to create a dynamic data source that checks the number of columns in a delimted file?  C    

Hi,   I have some accounts I either need to map to an asset account (100000) or liability account (200000). The mapping should be based on the total account incl. sum of all dimensions. e.g. A#12345:I#IcpA = 2000 A#12345:I#ICPB = -3000 Then both accounts should be mapped to the liability account, but still to IcpA and IcpB.   If I create a derivative rule with create if < 0 and > 0 then it looks at all individual rows. If I then create a prefix check account where I set all dimensions to e.g. Total_Member, then it will also be Total_Member it includes in the further mapping.   Any way I can do this in OneStream?   Thank you   /Kenneth

We recently migrated from the legacy “client API” to the “REST API”. They are fairly similar and the migration was straightforward. We use these interfaces to retrieve data via custom “cubeviews”. The cubeviews act as a vehicle for exporting business data from onestream cubes. However it would be more convenient if we did NOT have to build and deploy cubeviews each time we needed a new piece of data. I have not found any mechanism for this yet, either in the old “client API” or in the “REST API”. In other words, it would be nice if there was an “ad-hoc” mechanism for retrieving data programmatically from dimensions and cubes. I haven’t found this yet, in the OneStream “DataProvider” interface. I see that there is an option for running SQL queries but I was told to avoid it since it is low-level and is used to interact with raw/internal SQL tables whose schemas would not be meaningful from a business perspective. I have some experience retrieving structured cube data from the REST API named "GetAdoDataSetForCubeViewCommand". However, I'd like to get ad-hoc information. Ideally there would be another method that is analogous to retrieving data from an Excel "quickview". Did I overlook a "quickview" mechanism in the REST API? I am using the documentation named "REST API Implementation Guide", but it doesn't mention anything that looks promising. Perhaps there may be some undocumented approach? The cubeview already does much of what I need. However it requires preparation (the cubeviews must be prepared ahead of time and deployed to the server). It would be better if the API allowed "quickviews", since they don't require any previous preparation or infrastructure. Currently we are using Onestream v.6.3.0.

hi,i have a long running DM job which was triggered from ControlM using the REST API. The problem is controlM couldnt wait for the DM job completion to mark it as completed since the DMjob takes more than 2 hours to complete. Can we write a seperate function which sends back the DM job status from OneStream so that controlM can polls and check for the DM job completion. Is there an API method available which gives out the status of the DM job. ThanksVijay 

Hello!We're implementing Transaction Matching and we have a use case to load transactions on a daily basis and run matching each day.  Our TXM scenario has 12 periods, but we're finding that once the data in the Import step loads to the data set and the transactions match, additional files cannot be loaded using the same import step since there are now transactions from the first data set that have been matched. Example: Import transactions on May 1 into 2022M5, run matching - transactions are matched.Import transactions on May 2 into 2022M5 - error - all transactions in stage have to be unmatched first before reloading. Wondering how others handle this - create a separate import step for each day of the month to load each individual daily file and combine them all to load into one data set?  Are there other options?Thanks!Kathryn

I am trying to utilize the UD2 and UD3 Default Member fields on UD1 members.  For example, I have UD1 members that always go to a specific State.  Nothing is showing up in UD2 for the State after transformation.  Also, I'm not sure how to set up the Data Source for UD2 when utilizing this field since UD2 does not relate to the imported file.   From the Reference Guide UD2-UD8 DefaultThis is the standard default Member that can be mapped for a setting and saves having to map toeach Member. If the setting says Default, the mapping will always go to that default.   Any help on utilizing these fields is appreciated.  thanks
