HelloWe have a set of cost recovery related accounts where the recoveries are calculated and captured centrally for budgeting purposes, but the actual recoveries are invoiced to the different entities and need to be captured at local source.I'm trying to find a way to restrict write access to the recovery accounts in our budgeting and forecasting scenarios but allow write access to everyone for the actual scenario. Does anyone have any easy solutions on how to accomplish this? Thanks
I have a Matrix data file with 36 Months of data. The header has the periods in MM/DD/YYYY format. Is it possible to convert this Format to OS Period format like 2023M1 and return in each of the 36-time source dimension in Data Source Setup?
I have a data adapter with a query that lists all workflow profiles in the application. I need to exclude from that list all the inactive profiles (Profile Active=False)Where is this property in the database table?
Hi,sorry, first time trying to use derivative transformation rules..I have setup the following Derivative source transformation rule:My understanding or derivative rule is that the account created by the rule (eg. New_CR and New_DR above) must then be mapped using the standard transformation rule, so I have done so: However, I get the following error when running a Load and transform of the data file:What am I doing wrong? Thank you
Hi Team,Maybe anybody knows where in the Database can I find table with Workflow statuses?I believe there should be such from default,Thanks!
I have used the FormsStausForWorkflowUnit method to check method of all forms. Unfortunately I'm not able to limit the amount of columns, is that possible? When I select 'Column Settings' it works only till the next refresh. Thanks a lot!
1. It appears WF setup with a Matrix Data Source always imports ALL the periods updated in the Source file regardless of the WF Period I am importing from. Is it possible to limit it to Import only the WF Period?2. I have a source file that will be updated/changed with the entities being loaded every time when it is loaded via a WF.In Order to preserve the balances of the Entities previously loaded I am thinking to have Source ID same as my Entity Name as I don't see any "Merge" Mode Load Option in WF. Is there any other way or better option to load files in Merge Mode.3. If I want load granularity by multiple custom dimensions, In addition to the one custom allowed for WF channel setup, can I use concatenation of Entity & Account & Custom as Source ID to preserve the data previously loaded? Is there another way to achieve this OR any cons with this approach?
Does any one know if there is a BR command that can get the Workflow Name value from the Workflow Settings area of the Profile Properties (e.g. Import, Validate, Process) in a business rule? To be clear, I'm not looking for the name of the workflow from the General section. I'm looking for the part of the workflow that determines the chevrons/bubbles that walk the user through the workflow steps Thanks,G
Hello,I'm trying to create a confirmation rule that looks if these two accounts have a difference of 10k USD or more and if so it looks to see if it has a comment (annotation) made by our user and if it doesn't it will fail. So far I got the first part to see if the value is over 10k, but checking it to see if there's a comment also is confusing me. args.ConfirmationRuleArgs.DisplayValue = math.Round(api.Data.GetDataCell("A#Bad_Debt_Comp:U1#Top1:U2#Top2:U3#Top3:U4#Top4:U5#Top5:U6#Top6:U7#USGAAP:F#TopFlow:O#Top:I#Top:C#USD").cellAmount, 2) If System.Math.Abs(args.ConfirmationRuleArgs.DisplayValue) > 10000 Then args.ConfirmationRuleArgs.Info1 = "Bad Debt USD = " & String.Format("{0:#,##0}",math.Round(api.Data.GetDataCell("A#0319:U1#Top1:U2#Top2:U3#Top3:U4#Top4:U5#Top5:U6#Top6:U7#USGAAP:F#TopFlow:O#Top:I#Top:C#USD").cellAmount, 0)) args.ConfirmationRuleArgs.Info2 = "CCM Bad Debt USD = " & String.Format("{0:#,##0}",math.Round(api.Data.GetDataCell("A#CCMBadDebt:U1#Top1:U2
Hello,We are currently building our workflows and don't understand the difference between pre-process and process. we have forms built out and we hit save to send the data through so I'm not understanding why they are needed and what is the difference? We have a process button at import as well so why would we have to pre-process in the review/form step of our workflow.
I know we can use the Matrix setting in our Data Sources to import data where time periods are in the columns (i.e. M1, M2, M3, M4, M5 M6 etc.).Is anyone out there aware of a way to extract data out of OS in the same type of format (time periods in columns); either by way of a DM step or any other way?
In the prior version of onestream we had configured AAD authentication, and we had a service principal that would be used to process REST API requests (aka the onestream "web api"). This service principal was simply to make all the requests for gettting data (cubeviews, adapters). However since we upgraded to 7.1, the REST API has stopped working. Whenever we present the onestream-web-api with the access token from AAD, it simply generates a bogus error: No Supported Authorization Provider Configured. The reason the error seems bogus is because the AAD authentication provider is working for all interactive users. It is only this particular AAD service principal that fails (the one associated with this REST api). We noticed that the release notes for 7.1.0 says: Microsoft is ending support for Azure Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL) in December 2022. As a result, we have migrated to the Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) for authentication
Hi I have a dashboard that executes an Import > Validate > Process using a business rule.In my workflow I am currently using Workspace, Import, Validate, Process, Confirm:I would like to just use Workspace, Confirm, but it gives me the following error: "Cannot execute step because the specified step classification doesn't exist for the workflow profile." Is there anyway around this? Thanks,Mark
OneStream V7.0.1We have a Data Source that takes data file that has 12 data columns Oct ... Sep.The year for the data in the 12 data columns is a field "Fiscal Year", the first column of the data file.We have a Parser BR that is called on each of the 12 data columns that looks at the first field in each record to get the year and concatenates that with the M<number> month for each month column to give the correct Time dimension member in which to store the data. e.g. 2023M1The problem is we're getting the row header "Fiscal Year" instead of the year value in the record, so the string being returned looks like Fiscal YearM1How do we get the year data from the first column instead of the column header? Public Function Main(ByVal si As SessionInfo, ByVal globals As BRGlobals, ByVal api As ParserDimension, ByVal args As ParserArgs) As Object Dim fiscalYear As String() = {"Oct","Nov","Dec""Jan","Feb","Mar","Apr","May","Jun","Jul","Aug","Sep"}
Hello- I'm trying to load Headcount into our Finance model as a statistic. The table has no not data fields, just people records and emp ID. When I try to put a "static value" override of 1.00 in the "Amount" source dimension, I get an error stating no data records were found. Any help on how I can load # of records to the "Amount" in the Data Source? This is a Rest API connection to UKGThank You!
Hi, We are trying to setup REST API by following the OS documentation. Here we are using Azure as external authentication provider. We are able to get the token successfully, but passing back to the OS fails. Please advise on how to resolve this. Below the error message in Postman, "Error processing External Provider Sign In information. Token Validation Failed. IDX10214: Audience validation failed. Audiences: '00000002-0000-0000-c000-000000000000'. Did not match: validationParameters.ValidAudience: '3ace3d44-xxxxxxxxxxx-2651d589213e' or validationParameters.ValidAudiences: 'null'"

We are creating a Dashboard for data integration and to execute consolidations (our process is multi step) ... We are wondering the following:Is there a Dashboard template out there for download so we dont have to build from scratch? Can animated .GIF be utilized in a dashboard or just static images?
What is the best approach to point to a different field in a Direct Connection Data Source. I am familiar with importing both local and USD currency (not using translation) by selecting the appropriate columns in a Delimited File, and this has worked fine in the past. I am now trying to do the same in Direct Connection to a Data Source. I tried using the Set and Get Global Variable as shown below, but the results are not as expected. For example I am expecting a USD value of 15482.72 and it is returning 22.61, this value is not even close in the set of data rows returned by the SQL query. Here is the complex expression I have in the Amount Field:And in the Functional Functional currency field I have the following complex expression: Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hello,I was wondering if it's possible to change the workflow year to show FY20XX instead of just 20XX. In our legacy system we used FY20XX as our current year and we would like to continue with that style. I cannot seem to find a spot where to change it but I've seen images of other workflows with the year showing FY20XX. Thanks, Will
Hello Everyone, Is there a way to force the composite expression to run before the One To One Rules ? i am trying to run a complex expression to override values coming from the Source Data. but the One To One Mapping is triggering the mapping, what i want to Select all BS accounts from source based on the Target mapping , and import UD2 as a None Value . Instead what is happening is that all the BS accounts with UD2 value are being Mapped based on the One To One mapping i did for the PL Accounts. and i only want the PL accounts to have a UD2 Value.
I'm trying to load a file that has data in multiple columns like below.I have created the data source with a Data Type as Matrix DataKey and created source Time Dimensions for 12 months as stated in the screenshot. But when I try to load the data, I get the below error every time. I have already created transformation rules for Scenario and time as below and not sure what else I'm missing here. Can someone please help with this one?Error Message: Thanks...!!!

SourceA10000_0TargetA10000How can we achieve it in different ways?1. Connector SQL query -> Using this in the sql query Select left(Account, len(Account)-2) leaves blank rows in the import step.2. Data Source ? 2.a. Logical expression Return args.Value.Replace("_0", String.Empty) - This works fine. 2.b. What about Text Fill settings or Substitution settings?3. Transformation Rule ?
