Hi all,I’m currently upgrading instances of Genesis-created workspaces and ran into an issue. The workspace named "Genesis" was upgraded successfully. However, the ones with different names are failing and returning the error below. For example, one of the affected workspaces is named "Landing Page." I’m not sure if the naming is related to the issue, but it’s the main difference I’ve noticed so far.Has anyone encountered something similar or knows how to resolve this? I’d really appreciate any guidance.
I have some users who like to view a report in actual currency and others in 000's. Is there a way a user can change the number format of each report?
Hello,To standardize the look and feel of my dashboards, I would like to create a reusable dashboard template for a toolbar. The Menu component seems well suited for this purpose. However, some actions (for example, Save) cannot be defined at the menu item level and are only available at the menu component level. As a workaround, I am using Event Listeners: each menu item sends a parameter value, which is then used as the Event Listener name. This allows me to have one menu item that performs a Save action, another that launches a business rule, another that opens a dialog, etc. This approach works fine until the Custom Control dashboard is embedded in a Dynamic Dashboard. The issue can be easily reproduced by embedding the dashboards described in this blog post into a dynamic dashboard.Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
hi folks,When trying to edit some new blocks I've added in Genesis, I'm getting the error "Unable to find the Workspace Assembly Service Factory class for name 'WSMU' in Workspace 'Genesis' and Maintenance Unit 'X'"any idea why? I'm getting the error when i try to load a 'cube view basic' or 'embedded label' so far, in a card in a row in an advanced formatting block
I am trying to submit zero via excel add-in using XFGetCell formula into MTD/periodic view. Excel/Spreadsheet does not seem to allow it. I can put in zero into the same POV via a data form. The only workaround I have is to submit a 0.0001 record into OS via excel XFGetCell formula instead. Is there any proper change in setting that would allow me to do this?
I have a cubeview with a header row returning no data for all my time period columns (correct) but returning (100.0)% for columns where I'm calculating percent variances. Is there a way to make those columns blank as well for my header row?
Hello All, Is there a way to obtain hierarchical view of dimension(s) in BI Viewer components (like pivot grid) when you use Cube View MD as a source ? In other words not to have all members of dimension(s) as flat but still to have the parents of the dimension displayed as totals (as it would be displayed in a CV) Thank you Matthieu
Our two environments are currently on different OneStream versions. DEV is on 9.1.1 and PROD is 8.4.4. We have an upgrade scheduled to get them in sync soon. However, currently facing a parameter resolving and passing issue while trying to migrate some functionality from DEV to PROD. All setups are now equal between the two applications for the workspace that I moved over to PROD. However, I believe version 8.4.4 is having some trouble resolving parameters being passed to a button click that I have on the same dashboard. I have a button whose "Selection Changed Server Task" is set to "Execute Data Management Sequence" and "Selection Changed Server Task Arguments" is set to "{FilteredForecastRollforward_ButtonRan}{SelectedContracts=[|!param_SelectContracts!|]}". Within 9.1.1 DEV this data management sequence runs no problem an receives the value of "Contract1" upon logging. However, in 8.4.4 PROD this parameter is not resolving properly and comes as "|!SelectedContract
Hi everyone, I’ve developed a report using Cube Views and noticed the following behavior with keyboard navigation: The Tab key moves right and then wraps to the next row The Arrow keys move in their respective directions and wrap at the boundaries When navigation reaches the end of the report, it continues by jumping back to the beginning and starts again from the top. Is there a way to stop this wrap-around behavior at the report boundaries? Is there any property setting to control or disable this? Thanks in advance,Archana
Hi everyone,I need to add a button to a dashboard to allow users to export to csv or txt some data from the staging area, specifically from dbo.vStageSourceAndTargetDataWithAttributesI tried multiple approaches using a dashboard extender but cannot find the right way to do that.Has anyone done that before and has any suggestion or best practice to do it (even without using a BR)?Thank you for the help!
Hi all,my client is loading in OS Actual data in MTD.I set up a cube view to show the actuals MTD month by month. If the user loads the first 3 months, the cv correctly shows the MTD for the first 3 months, but for the 4th month it shows the YTD with inverted sign:If I understand correctly, this setup should be configurable by intervening on the following WF Profile settings:I also changed the following setting in the scenario configuration:nevertheless, the cv keeps showing the inverted YTD in the new month. Can anyone explain why?Thank you!
Hello, I currently have a cube where I am having an issue calculating variances. The row has GetDataCell(CVR(Row1)+CVR(Row2)) and Column is has T#POV, T#POVPrior12, GetDatacell(T#Pov-T#POVPrior12). When I run the report, the first two columns run correctly for T#POV and T#POVPriorYear, but the third column where the two get data cells meet does not calculate correctly. I can't get it to work on a column override either as I know there is a order of operation for the GetDataCell. I want to keep the report as dynamic as possible, is there a way this can be achieved without breaking the columns out and manually doing the overrides?
My team has recently been unable to save offline copies of Excel files that contain XFGetCells + CubeViews. Prior to this, we had no issues and had saved 100+ files offline as part of quarterly reporting. I have seen prior threads where this has been discussed some time ago, and our team has tried updating preferences, saved elsewhere, etc. with no luck. Is anyone else currently having this issue?
We are trying to update a table in External DB using SQL table editor. But we are getting below error.
Hi, I am encountering an issue with the header format of the 'Total' row below where the ReportBackgroundColor is not filling the entire cell when viewing the report as a PDF. There is no issue when viewing view the cube view or Excel. Below is the header formatting we're suing: ELSE IF (RowName Contains ':Total:') THEN ExcelBottomBorderColor = Black, ExcelTopBorderColor = Black, ExcelTopBorderLineStyle = Thin, Italic = True, ReportBackgroundColor = Gray, ReportUseBottomLine1 = True, ReportUseTopLine1 = True I'm using the same formatting for Header and Cell Format but as you can see from the screenshot below, there is a blank space below Total. Has anyone encountered this?
Hi all,I'm having a strange problem with cubeviews. I created some parameters to apply a standard formatting to my cube views:when I use them into the cubeview and I launch it, though, they appear in the initial popup without any value, as if they were user input params:am I missing something? is there anything I need to configure to make them work automatically?Any help is appreciated!
Hi all, I have an XFBR that I would like to take the entity member in any given row in a cube view. I've tried |MFEntity| but that doesn't work. |CVEntity| and |POVEntity| don't work either since they can only pass a single entity for a given cube view. Is there a way to get what I need outside of manually doing a column override for every single row in my cube view and hard coding the entity that I need to pass to the XFBR?
Hi all, I'm building a cube view which includes pre-filled columns including 12 months for CY budget, PY actuals and columns for YTD actuals. Additionally, I have included all future months in the year to be for the Forecast scenario for users to input.I have embedded this cube view into a spreadsheet form, so that users can either directly enter their forecast numbers into the spreadsheet in OS app, or it can be opened in Excel for users to complete outside the system. When I open the file in Excel, the CV correctly works and refreshes, and submission correctly writes the cells back to Onestream when FCT1 numbers are entered. However, I am stuck on one thing - is there a way to update the Cube View form cells by referencing other cells in another spreadsheet, or in the workbook? I can link 1 cell individually, but once I reference the cell, it automatically converts to a number and I cannot autofill any formula link to the remaining cells. Most users will either be wanting t
We recently upgraded from V7.4 to V9.1 and we’re seeing an issue with the Excel Add-In. A small group of users (about five) are unable to use the Drilldown feature (the option is completely greyed out), while the rest of our users can access it without any issues. All users have been upgraded to the 9.1 Excel Add-In and every other function appears to be working correctly. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix it?
Hi everyone,Quick View new user here, and for some reason I cannot create a new Quick View in a different Excel workbook. Is there a setting or feature I need to have active? I have an active Quick View in another workbook, and want to create a different one in a new book. I am logged in, and I click the icon, but receive this message: Unable to create Excel Named Range 'QuickView_QuickView1' using '=[workbook name]$B$2'Any insight is appreciated and thank you in advance!
The XFGetCell function has 20 arguments, when you have a large sheet (e.g. for data validation) there can be many of these functions increasing the size of the excel file. In SmartView it was possible to create 1 cell with commonly used arguments and reference that cell at once. In OneStream i'm not able to do so. Off course i cannot imagine that SmartView has a feature that OneStream doesn't so i probably need to change my syntax a bit. Hope you guys can help. So instead of: =XFGetCell(TRUE, "Finance",$A274, "",F$4,F$14,F$5,F$2,$C274,$D274,F$3,$B274,F$6,F$7,F$8,F$9,F$10,F$11,F$12,F$13) I want to create a cell (lets say A1) that has the content: TRUE, "Finance",$A274, "",F$4,F$14,F$5,F$2,$C274,$D274,F$3,$B274,F$6,F$7,F$8,F$9, So my formula would look like: XFGetCell($A$1, F$10,F$11,F$12,F$13) Unfortunately the function put double quotes around the cell so i get the whole string as my DisplayNoDataAsZero parameter and the next few down, missing many parameters (see picture be
We are having an issue with many of our Data Adapters. The Results Table Name continues to return as "SICResults". They are using a DataSet BR. Not all of them have this issue, even though others are using the same DBConn Connection. This does not happen when using the External SQL ConnectionThis is an issue when we try using 2 adapters on the same Report Component. We cannot have 2 data sources with the same name. Of the 4 ways to change this name:1) Place the table name in the call of a New DataTable()2) Use the TableName property after a new DataTable is made3) Name the query result "Select .......... AS TableName"4) Use the Results Table Name within the data adapter. Our code has no reference to "SICResults" anywhere. None of our code does. We just upgrade to 9.2
Hello, Since when are Form templates no longer allowed to include a dot (.) or a hyphen (-)? We built our naming convention using dots, and it is now unusable under these restrictions. Please confirm when this change was introduced and what alternative naming format you recommend. Best regards,
Hi, is there syntax similar to forms to load journals into multiple wf periods? My WF is 1 period, 12 months:I tried using similar syntax to form loads:Template set up as monthly:And I return no messages when I load. Confirmed xfj range is set up on file and all dimensions match. Thinking maybe its my "Time" thats preventing the journal from getting into the system and want to confirm I have valid syntax.Maybe the other option is to set Workflow Time to 2026M1 and make individual journals for each period:Is it possible to do all months in 1 journal?
