While not on the list of Reserved Words, I was wondering if Member should be avoided in Dimensions and Dimension Names? Could using it cause any unwanted downstream effects?

I want to create a yearly LTP scenario of type (scenario1) where input frequency is yearly and data can be input for like below I want to restrict this scenario for data input for particular years like, FY26-FY36. (with 1 entry a year) What setting can I do- to make this scenario available for input only for 10 years.  

HI All, I have been asked to see if OneStream can take a feed in to update the metadata. We are looking at having a Master Data Management system which will be used to update all the downstream systems. SO new accounts, entities or dimension members get created in this MDM system and then ideally gets automatically updated into OneStream (either mapping tables or Metadata hierarchy updates). Has anyone tried to do this ? Thanks Tahir

Does anyone have experience leveraging GitHub or any other code version control tool to manage Business Rules with OneStream? Assuming we have a remote Git repository on GitHub that keep track of all of our business rules. How do we push the code from remote repository to OneStream? Or in other words how do we run git command to push/pull. In this context, we want to assume there is file system on cloud store all the business rules in file format.  If there is no file system on OneStream, how are the Business Rules managed on cloud? Any pointers will be appreciated. We found a way to update the Business Rule table: xml_data in Application Database. But we are seeking for better options.    

I feel like an idiot asking this question but I can't find anything on google. Where do all of the 'Helper' classes come from? TimeDimHelper, StringHelper, ApplicationZipFileHelper, ScenarioDimHelper  Are these all OneStream specific? Is there any documentation or good posts about their use? Thanks, Scott  

I am looking to implement an incremental data extraction feature for our cube data. Specifically, I need to extract all data from inception and continue to do so on a quarterly basis, including any updates to previous quarters. Any ideas or best practices on how to achieve this effectively would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Team, Can any one help on this. I have text in the cells, so based on my text have to apply the conditional formatting. if my cell has "YES" text then should be Green color, if my cell has "NO" text then should be in RED color.  Can any one please help us to get the result.

Is there a way to restrict Access to Business Rules for all Users including Administrators through Security Groups? I don't want to encrypt the Business rule.

Hello, First time posting question here. I'm a developer new to the OneStream.   I'm trying to run a remote business rule to pull a file that stored on Local Gateway Server. The idea is to have the content of the data file returned to OS in bytes[].  I have extender rule  and SIC Function rule. After I executed the Extender rule, I printed out a few things from the returned object and looks like there is an exception when executing the remote rule. Could anyone give any pointers? We already got the extensibility rule for this purpose but it's completing all WF steps except forms. Hello - I need to get the most recent Property change on our UD1's. I'm assuming I need to get the AuditTime from the AuditMemberProperty table.  Would I use this function? Is there a way I can check my source records before importing data into a stage? If I am in a workflow for Import, Validate and Load, Even before the data is imported, I would like to check my source record for a condition like if it is less than a particular value. Only if the condition satisfies, I need to proceed to import else stop the workflow. If someone has done it, can you share the setup and code for the same. Appreciate your help!

I have a UD8 dynamic calculation that returns different results based on the UD2 member value. E.g. If UD2 = Houston, return "A#:Total_Expenses:S#Plan...." This works well using api.pov.UD2.Name for normal member intersections, but it's not applying correctly for GetDataCell calculations. By using the Cell POV button on the cube view, I can see that the GetDataCell rows have a POV set to the cube view POV. How can I have my Dynamic Calc read the UD2 value inside the GetDataCell?There is only one UD2 member referenced inside the GetDataCell. Good Day,In order to implement Org-by-period Consolidation, you need to set the Consolidation View to Periodic so that the correct Share for e.g. the income statement can be calculated for only the period for which an entity was consolidated to a parent.The guidance is clear that "When Consolidation View is set to Periodic and no data is loaded to the IC Accounts fora specific month, custom Elimination rules are required". I assume this is because of built in zero suppression settings on the Elimination data buffer.However, here is what is strange to me and I'm not sure if I'm missing something.When setting the Consolidation View to Periodic and note that No Data Zero View is set to YTD as data is loaded YTD, for any entity, there is a problem with eliminations as follows:When loading 100 000 in January, the full 100 000 is eliminated. Anyway to display text value in Cubeview without creating UD8 member.I was able to filter using text in row but I want to display what does it mean to make it more presentable.    

We use the REST api to retrieve balances from our accounting consolidations in onestream.   I've noticed that for the current year, these account balances can be retrieved quickly. But for prior years, it takes a lot longer to retrieve them.  For example, I can run cubeviews against the 2024 data and get ten branches in about 80 seconds.  But if I run the exact same cubeviews against 2023 or 2022, then it gets increasingly slower (160 seconds for the same ten branches in 2022). Is there some reason on principal why the balance data would take so much longer to retrieve in past fiscal years?  Is the cubeview doing some sort of dynamic calculation to retrieve balances?  (maybe it is incrementally subtracting activity from balances in 2024, and that dynamic calculation takes longer as we report further back in time)? Since many federal organizations utilize Active Directory at the Enterprise level, is there a way to tie Active Directory management to OS? For example, if a user's AD account gets disabled, so does their OS account? When a user's AD account is created in the particular OU, their OS account is created to the correlating group? Thanks.
