Hello:   Has anyone had any success with grouping columns in a cube view in a report linked to excel, or grouping them as they export? Of course in the data explorer version you can use the tree function and toggle the row expansion mode to get the intended effect, and in rows you have the excel outline settings you can play with. However, there doesn't seem to be a way to manage this using settings. And obviously if you format the cube view when linked them refreshed the column grouping goes away.   Interested to hear and thanks!

Hi,I want to build an input form for project planning where the projects are defined in UD1 dimension, but for the rest of the columns (Start date, End Date, and Contact type) there is no dimension defined. How can i build a input form via cube view if there is no dimension defined in Onestream. But Clinet wants to input the columns data (Start date, End Date and Contact type), in the system via form. 

Hello OneStream Community,I'm working on how to implement a REST API in OS, but i'm not sure to understand all the steps, i've already read the documentation and i've found it very hard to understand, can anyone please explain how can we implement it in OS what are the steps to follow, i started by downloading and installing POSTMAN for the tests but i don't know what should do i do after, please any help will be much appreciated. I'm also woundering if there any data management that should be used for this Thanks and merry christmas.

I’m trying to create a text box component that can be added to a BI Viewer and easily updated by end users directly in OnePlace. The goal is for the users to be able to edit the text without having to modify anything in the underlying application or configuration. Here’s what I’ve attempted so far: Created a string parameter intended to store the text. Tried adding a dashboard parameter control (such as a text box) linked to that parameter. Embedded it into the BI Viewer view. However, this approach didn’t yield the desired result. The text either doesn’t update as expected, or isn’t visible to the user in the way I intended. Has anyone successfully implemented a user-editable text box that can be directly manipulated by end users in OnePlace and reflected in a BI Viewer component? Any guidance, best practices, or examples would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help.

I found this forum is very helpful.  I feel the MultiplyUnbalanced function is very nice and wonder if it can take more than 2 components to multiply. They give an  example: If I want to do A#UnbalancedMultiplication=A#60000 x A#41000:U2#Parts   I can use the following: api.Data.Calculate("A#UnbalancedMultiplication = MultiplyUnbalanced(A#60000, A#41000:U2#Parts, U2#Parts)") But, if I want to do multiply three components A#UnbalancedMultiplication=A#60000 x A#41000:U2#Parts x A#51000:U2#Material how to use the MultiplyUnbalanced function? Hi AllDoes anyone know how to add a carriage return in Annotation text (if it's possible)? We have a Cube View with an annotation member that displays data. Currently the annotation text can take up most of the screen on some rows and it would be really useful to be able to enter a carriage return. I have tried Environment.NewLine, vbCrLf, \r\n, <br>

I would like to apply a member filter on a scenario, which will return a list of a scenarios based on it's properties like Name, Description, WorkflowTime, WorkflowStartTime, and WorkflowEndTime...i.e.  WorkflowTime = |someYear| or WorkflowStartTime = |someYear| or WorkflowEndTime = |someYear|I can do this S#Scenario.where(Name contains paramScenario) I can do this S#Scenario.where(Description contains paramDescription)I cannot do this S#Scenario.where(WorkflowTime = 2025)I cannot do this S#Scenario.where(WorkflowStartTime = 2025)I cannot do this S#Scenario.where(WorkflowEndTime = 2025)What am I missing?

Hi Everyone. What I want to achieve is to obtain the amount of three times in a single getdatacell. What I have is the following: Dim first As Decimal = api.Data.GetDataCell("S#[" & strScenario & "]:" & timesTest(0) & ":E#30801_30800:A#FINVOLUME:F#None:O#BeforeAdj:U1#D0000:U2#P0100:U3#LOCAL_DATA:U4#PJ00000").CellAmount The issue is that I need to use three different times, but I don’t want to create three variables to sum those values, and I also don’t want to do something like the following: 'Example Dim tot as Decimal = api.Data.GetDataCell("#Time1" + "#Time2" + "#Time3") So, I wanted to see if there is a way to put all the times together in one so that the sum is done internally, or if it can only be done as shown above. I hope you can explain the best method to achieve this.

Is it possible to create a Roadmap inside of OneStream? If so, I am looking for some guidance on how that can be accomplished and how difficult it would be to maintain and update the roadmap when needed.

Hi, I am using an XFGetCell Formula which references the POV for Time. I would like to use a formula to pull in the period prior to the POV in the same worksheet and keep it dynamic based on the POV.  Any suggestions? If it's not possible to do in the formula, I will need to create a UD8 to return the prior period time.  Does anyone have a ready-made formula for this?  I would greatly appreciate it! Hello,Has anyone seen this before where the task scheduler looks as if it will skip a date? Under the grid view, the autoloads highlighted are skipping 10/1/24 even though they are all set to run the first and the second day of every month. Weirdly enough, under the calendar view, they are listed correctly under 10/1 date column and after a few switches back and forth it reset itself back to 10/1 without any other action. Any idea would be appreciated. 

Need assistance building this logic in for two conditional statements to return a value. The logic reads if one row is greater than 0.20 and another row is greater than 0.20, then 0 is the cell value. If not, then 1 is the cell value. Please let me know if I can provide any additional details. 

Dear all, Could you please advise how to show Text field of Entity member in cube view instead of Entity Name. For example, I have: Entity member with Name A, it has Text1 field Country 1, Entity member with Name B, it has Text1 field Country 2 Entity member with Name C, it has Text1 field Country 2 I would like to show in cube view in rows figures on Country 1 and Country 2 (so I need to aggregate figures of Entity B and C in this row). Could you please advise is it possible? If it isn't possible to aggregate figures, could you please advise if I can simply show three rows Country 1, Country 2, Country 2 in cube view instead of Names.

Hello, it's probably simple question to solve, but I wasn't able to find a solution.Is it possible to display the dimensions (master data) of the query in the cube views?e.g. columns, CV should generate a table with the following: Account | Amount | Cost Centre Number | Cost Centre Name | Profit Centre | Profit Centre Name |... and so on. I have tried it via UD (where the information is located), but I only get the amounts, but not the elements/master data/dimension or description. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!  

G'day, Pls share if there is an Excel template for Cubes like the Metadata Builder for Dims and Workflows.That will help us update OS Dimensions in many Data Cubes with various Scenario Types. TY.

Are there any out box reports available to show constraints by dimension?

I have created a literal value parameter  for entity that I want to refer in my finance rules for calculation.   Can someone share me a code where I can look up values from a parameter I set instead of running a  E#Root.base or something. Running a E#Root.base where txt1='value' is not an option .   Thanks

Has anyone had success taking a date, say 12/2/2024, and the cube name I assume, and converting it to a period like 2024M12?

Hi , i am trying to copy between scenario through hybrid copy scenario feature but i observer that wherever only USD value present for non USD entities , data copy not happening. could anyone please suggest if anybody come across this scenario.
