Has anyone been able to successfully obtain a parent name for a member, within a UD8 formula without needing to leverage a text field on the member (using Parent Sort Order for example)? As an example, I have a base level entity member of B1229 (this is Branch). I would like to return D1229 - Chicago based on its' parent sort order of 2 (this is District). Appreciate any insight!

Hello,I know you can center columns in a report, but is there a way to do this for cube views exporting to excel? I've only found a workaround where you go to export it to report and then change it to excel, but this won't work for us longterm.Would like to be able to do this - ok with either embedded or just exporting. 

Hello All, I have a Cube View that I want to use as data source for a BI VIewer object. When I execute this CV, I can see data: When I use this (basic) CV as MD in data adapter, it is empty. I checked the set up steps in the doc and I can't see what I could have missed.   Would you have any ideas why the result table doesn't return values that I can see in my Cube View ? We are working on a POC to extract data using FdxExecuteDataUnit.  We are using an Extensibility business rule and running it using a DM job.  I am getting assistance from our corporate IT group as I am not good with C#.  The business rule is writing data to a table and then is taking the data from the table and putting it in a text file.  There is something missing or wrong with this and I am hoping someone can help with the code since I do not have access to the TechTalks that focus on FdxExecute. The code was written to do the FdxExecuteDataUnit and then also write some sample data to the table.  This way if the FdxExecute does not generate any data we at least get a file with the sample data.  I am getting a file but it only has the sample data spelled out in lines 100-150 of the business rule.  I am also getting the following warning when I compile the rule:  "1) Warning at line 54:  Unreachable code detected" If I comment out that line

Hello All, SetDataCellsUsingMemberScript() seems to only write the last value added to list.  I am successfully adding 14 records to the objMemberScriptValues list (I can loop through them and see the 14 unique intersections) but only the last one is being updated in the cube. Hi everyone, I have to do some systems diagnostics but I cannot run the dashboard because there is an error in the business rule "OSD_SolutionHelper". This business rule does not compile due to an error in line 4882Dim computer As New Microsoft.VisualBasic.Devices.Computer()Error: Type 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.Devices.Computer' is not defined. Anyone else encountering this issue? Hi everyone, Good day. We are new to OneStream, and we are building a cube view wherein it outputs quarterly columns for a certain year. However, it only outputs the last period/month for the quarter. For example, under the Q1 Appliances, it shows 305,221,004. But, if I drill down on quarter 1, I can see that the amount per month when totaled, it is equivalent to 607,036,638. This also applies to the 2024 column, it only shows the Q4 value and not the sum of all quarters. I already tried to consolidate and calculate, but it is still the same.  Thank you for those who will share their inputs.   

Hi, I am testing V 7.2.3 in our Dev environment. Production is still on 6.5. The security and user groups, data sources, and workflow profiles are identical between the two. I am able to import and validate TB's in the workflow, but several others are not able to Validate in the Dev environment. Has anyone else experienced this?  The validation message is "No Security Access", but the workflow profile and security groups are idential to prod. Thanks!

I created a new dimension member as a child of our direct_department member in UD2.  I have updated all of the transformation rules and mirrored the member properties of its siblings.  I have loaded this month's data which includes the new department and none of that department's data is showing up following the load/transform process.  I'm not receiving any errors either.  Has anyone experienced this or has an idea of where I can look to resolve the issue?

Hi experts, hoping someone can guide me.   Our P&L is recorded by Line of Business (UD2), however our balance sheet is recorded to UD2 None.  FPA has a requirement that they currently handle manually to "allocate" the balance sheet to the lines of business based on the percent of revenue.  Our partner initially achieved getting closer by using a dynamic formula on UD8.  This does not ultimately provide the accurate results at the consolidated level (due to nature of dynamic formula).  We believe we need to change this to a formula pass but it is proving to be challenging.   We are open to suggestions, using UD7 (tracking) or UD6 (reporting).  I am also open to creating a mini alt acct hierarchy since it really only needs to apply for a handful of summary level accounts.  (Coding examples would be so very appreciated!)  Thank you!

Dear Community,Since I can create a weekly calendar using a customized Time Dim, what is the "Fiscal Year Month Type" such as Fixed week 4-5-4, 5-4-4 in the time profile used for? If it is used for fiscal year purposes, how can I see the impact? I tried to play around time profile, and it doesn't seem to impact anything. Please provide some ideas. Thank you

Hey all, Since Onestream 6.6.0 there should be the option to trigger a Submit Workbook with VBA using SubmitSetXFFunctions. However, I can't get that to work. We're using Onestream 7.0 and the following VBA-code:   Sub SubmitWorkbookToOnestream() Set xfAddIn = Application.COMAddIns("OneStreamExcelAddIn") If Not xfAddIn Is Nothing Then If Not xfAddIn.Object Is Nothing Then Call xfAddIn.Object.SubmitSetXFFunctions End If End If End Sub    If I run this I get an 'Object doesn't support this property or method' error. I'm trying to lookup the users in a workflow execution group so I can e-mail them when the harvest batch process runs successfully. Below is the code I'm using to try and lookup the users within a workflow execution group. The problem is I don't know what to put in the "WorkflowGroupType" as Integer argument.  I know that any number between 0 and 1249 will allow the function to run, but putting 1250 will error the function. I created a loop just to see if I could get any of the valid values to return something and didn't have any luck.    Has anyone been able to successfully do this? Thanks!

Hi, this was already asked in an old post, but there was no solution given.Where is the Workflow Audit information (like the one in the picture) stored? For context, I know that Lock History information can be retrieved using the WorkflowLockHistory Data Adapter method, and it's also stored in the WorkflowLockHistory application table.However, I'm having trouble finding the Workflow Audit information that isn't part of the Lock History. Specifically, I'm looking for details on who performed each workflow step, which is displayed in the workflow audit window but not returned by the WorkflowStatus Data Adapter method. Can anyone provide guidance on where to find this information?

Hello,I am writing a SQL Query that references tables in different databases, one that exists in the External database (BI Blend) and one that exists in the Application database. I am having trouble setting up my data adapter to allow for pulling in both tables to perform a Union, as I need to specify the Database Location. Is this possible?

I'm building a cube view where I want to pull, in tree view, all descendants of a particular hierarchy but I also want to apply 2 where clauses:  Where the member is either a 'parent' OR where the member's description begins with certain letters. So my MF looks like this:  U4#MyHierarchy.TreeDescendantsInclusive.Where((HasChildren=True) or (Description Startswith FS)). To step back though, at this point, I can't even get the first part of that syntax to work on its own.  I keep getting unexpected text "HasChildren.....".  Doesn't seem to matter how I write this (with or without the 'where') per the OS documentation. I'm just wondering if anyone has successfully used this and perhaps provide a working example so I can figure out what I'm doing wrong here. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I am attempting to update the "text" property (which varies by time) for my UD1 members using a business rule that pulls data from a custom table. The update process works as expected without any issues. However, when I remove a data value from the table, OneStream removes the value from the text property, but the corresponding period remains selected, showing blanks (see Screenshot 2). I am removing the data value using the "Else" condition as shown below (Screenshot 1).Can anyone provide insights on how to also remove the period from the selection when there is no value? Hi, I have an admin Workflow Profile where I have children steps that are different dashboards. I would prefer not to create these as Forms steps as I want to certify each step and not every Form. I have system default settings to set this as Profile Active True/False. Is it possible somehow to change so this is only Active for months which are not a quarter?  I want to remove this from the Workflow Profile in quarter months to avoid and eliminate the risk of someone using this dashboard in a quarter.
