Hello, I am using a textbox to input a date, and its action property is linked to a parameter with the type set to "Input Type." When running the dashboard, the user wants today's date to be populated as the default value instead of manually entering a date. Has anyone tried using the Date function with the input parameter type for this purpose? thank you!

To help with validation and debugging, I've enabled BRAPI.ErrorLog.LogMessage to display the variable outputs in the error log. When creating a dashboard in the default workspace you are able to pass dashboard parameter values to the data management sequence through the parameter section of the execution script:You can also use an Input Value parameter and create an extender process to populate the Input Value and then retrieve that value for a DM sequence or BR.However, when using user defined workspaces, I have only been able to successfully pass parameter values from a dashboard using a literal value (process on combo box executes a rule to populate a literal value with the most recent user selection, literal value is read by DM and BR processes).The issue with this literal value process is that the value is left at the value from the last execution of combo box selection so it requires the user to change the value to some other value, then reset the value to ensure the literal value has a valid stored value.Additionally, this process if being used by multiple users, may cause confusion if two users are chan

For starters, we're on 8.2.1.In reviewing some automation rules that were written by my predecessors, I've been trying to move away from the Harvest folder batch processing. ...mostly, because I don't want to deal with cleaning up the clutter it leaves in the filesystem.In most cases, it's trivial to switch to BRApi.Import.Process functions and I've done this successfully but I find that running the Process Cube from a BR acts a bit weird. BRApi.DataQuality.Process.StartProcessCube and BRApi.DataQuality.Process.ExecuteProcessCube both start the process just fine and the process does exactly what it should. However, both methods only start the process and immediately move on to the next instruction. I can't seem to evaluate them for failure, duration, or anything else as they both instantly and always return that they finished successfully. I have those days in the load file but they do not show up in the dashboard.  In the CV I am using this set up: T#2025.base.remove(2025W53).  Looking forward to any tips :)  

Hello OneStream Community,I am working with a Cube View where I need to display the Income Statement data for the end of every year (December). The data should show up as the beginning balance for the January month in the subsequent year. To achieve this, I used a Row Override1 member filter with the formula T#povprioryearm12.The Cube View includes four dimensions: Entity, Division, Cost Center, and Accounts. However, I am experiencing slow loading times when the view is being accessed. it is not exporting to Excel to validate.I would like to know if there are any best practices or strategies for improving the performance of the Cube View in this scenario. Are there specific optimizations I should consider for the member filter, the dimensions, or the Cube View configuration to reduce loading times?Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!Thank you in advance!

Trying to understand a little more about this instance. This message appears when trying to run a period that has no data. Some questions have emerged around:Can we customize this message? (Thinking no, it is standard OOB message describing what is happening).What is happening? Does the data require consolidating in order to be leveraged? Under what circumstances would you receive this message relating to dashboards?

I have a dashboard with a cubeview in row one and a chart in row two.  I want the chart below to change based on what the user clicks in the cube view.  I was hoping when the user clicks a new cell in the cubeview it would trigger the "Selection Changed Server Task" action but I can not seem to get a rule to run there.   Does anyone know how a BR on a cube view dashboard compoent is triggered?  I was hoping on cell selection but maybe not.  Thanks.

Hello,I have parameter a specific POV on an Excel sheet and want to duplicate it on another Excel sheet.The QuickView Option to duplicate is only available in the same sheet.I tried to copy the file and then move the sheet to the previous file but it doesn't work.Is there a solution? Maybe to copy the POV to make it applied in the new one?(I know I can parameter the default POV to initialise it via the OS app but I need to keep the POV in 'black' to fix it whatever the POV initially parameter)Thank you

Is there a way, or a best practice recommended, to point an XFGetCell formula to one or multiple members of the same dimension without adding parent level members in the dimension hierarchy? As an example, if we have entities 1 through 5, I'd like to be able to change an input cell to any combination of those and have an XFGetCell function to pull in the sum of all the data points referenced. Currently I'm thinking this would require nested If functions, but that seems like it would quickly get to an unmanageable length as the number of members grows.

Hello, I am trying to use the new menu component within dashboards. I tried using method for command type and entering in the assembly file name for the business rule. However, when doing so it returns an error message that it is invalid. I am wondering what the correct syntax is for using an assembly file within a data adapter as well as the correct method type.I currently have it as follows{BusinessRule}{DataSet}or{Workspace.WorkspaceName.AssemblyName.FileName}{DataSet} 

Hi! Wondering if it possible to build a report book that loops through a list of members, but aggregates results for a parent? If this is possible, how would you setup your loop? Can't seem to get it to work! Example: report results show the total for BIP 1226, and output the same results in a separate report for B1226, B1344, B1489 and B1490 (ideally with these base entity names in the header).    

Is there a way to have the time POV reference a cell (A1) in a spreadsheet?  User wants to have multiple Quick Views and change time once in cell A1 and it update all Quick Views in the workbook.

The client requires us that aggregation is with an average method and not summing (this condition must be applied to all dimensions). For example: Oversea and Europe are aggregating summing (UD4 members), however, the client requires that the aggregation make an average of their children. Note that in column we have metrics (account members) where we need to apply it.The result desired would be 5 %.Thanks in advance.

Hi All,We have a spreadsheet component containing two tabs. One tab has the source data derived from a Table View. The second tab has a Pivot created on the data from First tab. The Pivot Table has "Refresh data when opening the file" checked under Pivot Table Options/Data settings.The source data tab refreshes as expected if TableView output changes based on the spreadsheet component setting. The Pivot table however does not refresh automatically.Is this a known issue ( OneStream spreadsheet component vs Excel) or do we need additional configuration to make it work?

Not sure which field I need to look at in this table(StageArchivesInformation) to locate the right folder under Batch in OS. Any help will be appreciated. JC

Has anyone written a complex expression that takes a date as an input, and determines the period associated with the date, when periods are not based on calendar ends (for example, 4-4-5, or 5-4-4)?There doesn't appear to be a BRApi function for this, but perhaps I'm missing something. I am attempting to create a view in a dashboard for users to be able to see all metadata for each row with that value. Essentially I need to recreate the "Data Records" Report in the database.  I would prefer not to recreate it in SQL via a data adapter, instead use either a Cube View or a Quick view in Spreadsheet.  For the Cube View I can't seem to display more than 12 of the dimensions and would need 16 in the report (Cube and View aren't needed those can be in the POV). For the Quick View in Spreadsheet putting |!prm_Entity!|  returns "#ERROR - The member filter contains unresolved parameters" instead of providing some sort of dialogue box to select the member.  Any suggestions on how to get all dimensions into a Cube View or how to use parameters in the Member Selection in a Quick View would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks
