Hey all - I'm wondering if anyone has brought in people data (salary/bonus/commission/job type/job title/hire and termination dates/etc. and weekly/biweekly payroll files) into OneStream from Workday. From what I have heard, the payroll and salary data would live in separate tables in Workday. I'm beginning to scope out a process flow to do the aforementioned, but the initial thoughts would be to bring in salary related data to feed into People Planning and bring in payroll related data for analytics and potentially account reconciliations.  The salary related data would mostly support the Finance org with budgets and forecasts.  The payroll related data would mostly support the Accounting org with variance analysis at the individual person level as well as possible automation of accrual journal entry calculations. Please let me know if anyone has done something in this realm or would like me to specify anything more.Thanks!

Is there a table that stores the history of data intersections (imports, calculations, journals, form entry) beyond the DataEntryAudit tables?

Hi everyone, do you know if the report run time and page number that is in the cube view report footer can be moved into the report header? I was thinking perhaps via a cube view inline formula?

Dear community, We are now helping a client to set up a data management sequence to copy six months (T#YearM1-M6) of Actual data to Forecast. And user can start entering figures for Forecast M7-12.In Actual, data is loaded in YTD.The copy data step works, and we can see the correct consolidated data until M6.While in M7, we see data that should not be the case. When we checked the data on all the Base level entities, it showed derived data. All the other dimensions are also at the base level. And the view is Periodic.However, when we look at the Parent level entity, all the other dimensions remain on the base level and view in Periodic. The cell status shows it is "Real Data."  Below is the setting for the Forecast scenario. Can someone provide an explanation for such behavior in OneStream?Please note that we did not consolidate M7 after the data copy, and the Forecast scenario had no data.  Any suggestion is much appreciated!Thanks in advance! &

When mapping an item from the "Validate" step in the workflow, it is possible to save the mapping to an "(unassigned)" item.Is it possible to restrict the storage of the mapping so that it cannot be mapped to "unassigned"? Thank you

We created Extensibility BRs that leverage WIN SCP commands to send data from OneStream to an internal directory using an SFTP connection setup with OneStream.  The data files are being received with a .filepart extension.  We were able to get the .filepart feature disabled in our OneStream environment; however, the csv files are continuing to be received with the additional .filepart extension.  Any suggestions on how to eliminate .filepart extension when files are sent / received?

We are wanting to know how other government agencies are doing for their prior year financial statements. What is your solution on how to handle retroactive system changes within OneStream? 

With SQL Connector as Data Source, can we automate to Import, Validate and Load multi period and multiyear data (Ex: Jan 2023 till Jan 2026) in such a way the Import, Validate and Load occurs one period after the other sequentially?Query execution times are much lesser when pulling one period at a time Vs pulling ALL 36 periods together, so I want to explore this option.   

How are you managing prepaid expenses and amortizations in OneStream (OS)?  Prior to OS, we were using Blackline, this tool had prepaid amortization templates that let us easily establish a monthly schedule of expenses. It contained an auto roll-forward schedule, and the system automatically amortizes over future periods.  This same feature doesn't exist in OS, and I'd love to hear how your company is processing these transactions.  Thank you!

TeamWhile importing data from local drive to Onestream through Import step (Load and Transform), i get an error "Global scenario member is not initialized". Can you please help:-1. Why do i need to select the data source manually everytime from local file even after uploading the file in Data Source2. We have subledger system change that I created new workflow substeps for, and I wanted to leave the old workflow substep out there for viewing historical loads, but not have someone have to deal with it every month from a workflow completion standpoint going forward.  If I inactivate the step, it completely goes away in all years.  What is a best practice for making a substep inactive, but keep it visible for history?

Hi Team, We have a requirement to generate Level 1 member list (Department Member List) based on POV (Entity Dimension) selected so we have developed XFBR script to generate the Level 1 Member List. Now we have to generate Level 2 Member List (Product Dimension Member List) based on Level 1 (Department). I am not sure how to reference or Pass Level 1 information as a parameter to XFBR script?   POV Entity=>Level 1 Member List: XFBR(POV Entity) =>Level 2 Member List: XFBR(Level 1). Not Sure how to refer or Pass Level 1 information as a parameter to XFBR script. Thanks, Sudhakar S

Hello, Is there a way to determine where the freeze panes will be placed in a cubeview upon the export to excel?  It looks to default wherever the headers end, but I have a view where I'm calling a naming convention using UD8 (data grid).  Also, I noticed no panes are frozen when a same cubeview is called in a report book using the excel export item.  Is there a way to customize these settings anywhere? Hello,I have a consolidated /parent workflow where we make top-sided entries via forms and journals on rare occasion. When I book an entry through a form it causes a variance on my OOB report, I assume in the children workflows because the entries are one sided (hitting different entities in different workflows). These two lines in the form net to zero, but how can I get my OOB check to ignore or recognize this is an "unbalanced" entry from a workflow perspective?

Hi all,  I'm looking for a possibility to dynamically create a Cell Format via an XFBR Rule. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work, but also does not give an error message. Could someone please let me know, whether and how it is possible? The script is e.g. returning something like "|!MyFormatParameter!|" in the easiest case.   Thanks in advance Markus
