Hi experts,Is there any audit report, to see Who did the Load ?When did it happen? What XML file is used to Load?I could not find it in the Navigation center?//Suresh
Hi, we are looking for guidance and experience on automating the process of exporting fx rate data from OneStream to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).What is the best approach to automate this data flow from OneStream to GCP?Are there recommended methods (API, connectors, data pipelines) for this integration?Any best practices or examples for handling FX data in this setup? Thank you!
HI,Modern browser could not be used.It has strange message "Skip to next section" for each dashboard component.
So we have a UD2 mapping set up in the List section. What I want is to be able to set up a Complex Expression in the UD2 Composite section so that for certain accounts it does nothing and so moves on to the List section, but for everything else we have a hard coded UD2 (e.g. None). I have no problem with setting the criteria in the Complex Expression, but I don't know if it is even possible to write some code that forces it to skip on out and look at the List mappings? I realise this is maybe a bit back to front compared to how the Composite mappings work, but we have a very tight list of accounts where we need to do the List UD2 mapping, and everything else (which can be any other account) should just go to None.
Hello everyone,I recently attempted to register for a OneStream certification exam and noticed that both the Lead Architect and Core Application Architect certifications are available. Could you please clarify which one is required for my consulting firm to qualify for a higher-level partnership with OneStream?Additionally, I would appreciate any insights into the main differences between these two certifications, as well as the passing score (percentage of correct answers) for each. Finally, if you have already taken one of these exams, I would be grateful if you could share your experience.Thank you in advance!
We are preparing to move the Transaction Matching (TM) module, an out-of-the-box marketplace solution, from the Development environment to the QAT environment.Could someone please guide me on the process for migrating the database tables, along with the match sets and matching rules created within the TM module?Specifically, is there a way to extract and load these artifacts directly, rather than recreating the entire solution from scratch in the new environment?
In my cube view- I have some cells which are greyed out. What does that mean? I am admin.
Constraints in OneStream are filters applied to metadata dimensions such as Flow, Accounts, UD1, or specific cash flow lines to narrow the scope of calculations, data retrieval, or Cube View rendering. They’re powerful tools, but when applied too broadly or dynamically, can they degrade performance?Larger evaluation footprintA Flow or Account constraint forces OneStream to check every intersection in that dimension. In dense cubes, this can mean millions of evaluations.1. Dynamic filters are expensive.Static lists (e.g., A#1000, A#2000, Flow#Operating) resolve quickly. Dynamic logic FilterDim, Boolean conditions, or formula driven sets require runtime computation. Why?2. Stacked or nested constraints multiply the cost.Does layering constraints across Flows, Accounts, and UDs in OneStream force the system to resolve each filter before executing calculations?3. Reduced parallelism. When constraints slice across cash flow lines or UD dimensions, the engine can’t fully parallelize task
Hi Onestream experts,We need to install client software 9.1.0 for accessing Environment 1, which is running on version 9.1We could not use the client software 9.1.0 for accessing Environment 2, which is running on version 8.4Why is the client not backward compatible? This is a very normal situation for any customer, to have different environment in different version. How to solve this? ThanksSuresh
Hello Everyone,Does anyone know if it’s possible to use Wrap Text in comments within OneStream? This feature is available in Excel under cell formatting, but I can’t seem to find it in a OneStream Cube View. The member filter used for comments is V#Annotation. If anyone has a solution or workaround, please advise.Thank you!
Hi Community! Are there any solid performance issues / consideration of having ALL currencies from OneStream listed as Currency Filter of the Application Property, instead of selecting only the ones we need ? Regards,
Is there a maximum number of source id values that can be loaded to one workflow? Is there a maximum number of source id values that can be loaded for an entire application?
I have some accounts that are set up as non financial account type. Is there an easy way to see average data on QTD/YTD? They are behaving as balance accounts now.
Hi, Currently we are not using translation (currency conversion) and I was wondering if we can skip translation process while consolidating or can consolidate only specific accounts (if it allows) to make the process faster? We have a reporting application with huge set of data and need to refresh the data hourly followed by consolidation which is time consuming process. I am using data management out of the box step for consolidation with C#Aggregated. Can I use any other approach to make it faster?
Hello OneStream Community, A few days ago a colleague of mine wanted to know the meaning of the various PropertyId constants present in one of the Application Database Audit Tables.I was unable to find any OneStream specific documentation on this PropertyId code and its meaning, so I created a business rule to complete the puzzle and get what we needed for the metadata audit at a very granular level. For any one else experiencing an issue similar like this here is a table of the Member property Id's and their meaning.Dimension | PropertyID | PropertyDescription Entity PropertyID | 100 | Currency Scenario PropertyID | 100 | ScenarioType Account PropertyID | 100 | AccountType Entity PropertyID | 150 | IsConsolidated Entity PropertyID | 200 | IsIC Scenario PropertyID | 200 | InputFrequency Account PropertyID | 200 | FormulaType Flow PropertyID | 200 | FormulaType UDx PropertyID | 200 | FormulaType Scenario PropertyID | 300 | DefaultView Account PropertyID | 300 | AllowInput Flo
Hello ONECommunity, We use NetSuite as our ERP system, and we have different FX rates by subsidiaries that apply to the transactions that occur within those subsidiaries. This means that for AverageRate we can have two EUR->USD FX rates within NetSuite. One FX rate for each of the two subsidiaries. When we pull those transactions for our income statement accounts into OneStream to load our YTD Actual scenario, we are seeing some FX variances because OneStream can only apply one EUR->USD FX rate that is stored within the cube's applied FX rate type. How have others solved this issue? Is there a way to apply multiple EUR->USD FX rates within OneStream we are not seeing or is this whole process uncommon and we need some changes to our ERP? Thanks!
Does it make sense to get OneStream Metadata (eg Entity, Cost Center etc) be updated automatically from upstream source system such as SAP?I would have thought it would be far too risky but just want to check if anyone out there had ever come across such requirement and what approach you deploy so that metadata between source ERP and OneStream are in sync? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.
Hello, we are about to start our work on next year budget and we already know that, following a recent restructuration, there will be a lot of pot swaps between departments (e.g. Licence costs used to sit in the department using the software but will now all sit under IT). Some of the them will be just moving a cost center and its history from one department to the next so that will be easy. Our issue is when we do a "pot swap" that moves part of a cost center. In this case we will have a disconnect when we compare actual and forecast unless we restate actual (i.e. also move the cost in actual). My question is on how best to tag/flag the "pot swap" in the actual data so that in reporting we can do like of like comparison (i.e. with past data restated) but also keep the original data. I have 2 potentials solutions: Flag the restatement using an UD: do the restatement of past periods under a specific UD so that we have the ability to see past periods with or without pot swap adjus
In V7 I had a cubeview and V#Annotation was open for capture but in V9 it is not but V#Auditcomment is open for capture. Any idea why ?
Hi All - I have a question on the SetDataCell Does the below work? I am trying to write 1 to an account.api.Data.SetDataCell("S#UltOwnShipConsolTracker:V#YTD:A#DirectOwnership:F#None:O#AdjInput:I#None:U1#None:U2#None:U3#None:U4#None:U5#None:U6#None:U7#None:U8#None", 1, False)My Origin is AdjInput & Consol is OwnerPreAdjThanksKrishna
In People Planning, is there a way to sum all the values in either the PLP register or calc plan for all employees to get a total to calculate an allocation. My client would like to allocate a Pension Pool by the Employee’s Wage / Total Employee Wages. I am trying to find a way to calculate the Total Wages for all Employees using Allocation Methods as they run by RegisterID/CalcPer. Any ideas.
Hi all,I'm experiencing an issue with the connector in one of the cubes. Although everything is set to "replace," the stage is not being cleared, and old data is being loaded together with the new data. As a result, I have to manually clear the stage to resolve it.The log, is says replace Data keys are 2025M10,2025M11,2025M12,2026M1, but if i check th estage after the import i have periods outiside this rangeThe log indicates 9,261 lines, exacly the same amount of rows that the query produces. But the import shows 248 pages. With 50 rows per page, that would be around 12,400 rows loaded, which is quite different from what the log reports. I'm not sure if I'm missing something here, but I haven’t noticed this happening in other data loads. I still need to replicate the issue in a different app. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance!
Hi All,Apologies if this question has been answered before. I tried search community but couldn't find.I noticed that data can be loaded via Forms into BeforeAdj member. Two questions:(1) Wouldn't it mean that if data is subsequently loaded into both Forms and Import, the previously loaded data into BeforeAdj member would get replaced? Isn't BeforeAdju supposed to be an Aggregated member?(2) Why would anyone want to load data into BeforeAdj member in the first place? What is the benefit of loading data into BeforeAdj member directly and not using Forms member if data is input via Forms? Thanks in advance for any insights.
Hi all, How do other customers go about archiving applications? We've been live since 2017 and every year after filing our SEC reporting, we copy the production application and rename it with the year that's being archived. This is helpful as in the past we've move products in segments as well as various other master data changes affecting reporting. The issue is that now we're nearing our storage capacity as the size of our application has grown over the years as we add in more data and features (35GB for the 2018 archive while our current 2021 production app is at 155 GB) and clearly this problem will continue every year. Any suggestions on a more efficient and cost-effective strategy? Thanks!
In the cube view, I have the customer selection on the dropdown list. When NoCustomer is selected, they want to see data that is loaded on Import. But they want to block the input for NoCustomer on Forms. is there an easy way to achieve this? Like if NoCustomer, read only?
