Hi,This is probably not something I can do. But I was wondering if it's possible to automatically lable a tab in excel witht he name of the cube view I download? It would be a great time saver when I'm dowloading multiple cube vews or creating a book. I haven't been able to find anuthing in the Academy site on that. Thanks in advance

Hi Team, We are creating a template in the input form to enter data. Is there any way to suppress the rows with no value while extracting the same form into the spreadsheet? Also can anybody suggest how to retain the spreadsheet format with multiple refresh?

Hello Team, We have IE and Edge browser on the system. Once opened the OneStream application when we do Windows shortcut as per below screenshot it is creating the Windows short cut on the desktop. And, then when we open the OneStream application using the shortcut , it is opening on IE browser. How to create a shortcut for Edge and the application should open on Edge Browser when we use the shortcut. Thank you, Praveen

Hello All, I'd like your input on whether it is possible, or not, to conditionally display or hide a dashboard's component ? I have a case that, depending on the scenario selected in the workflow, I want in my dashboard to display, or not, a button (that will then allow user to seed forecast, but I want them to be able to do that only when they are doing their forecast, as dashboard is shared across scenarios) I tried to use a XFBR that would return me a different value (True or False) depending on the scenario selected and add this XFBR as value of the setting "Is Visible" of the button component, but that didn't work (thrown an error "Index was outside the bounds of the array"). So I don't know if it's because it's not possible or I did an error but open to any suggestions to make this requirement work Thank you Matthieu

Hello Experts,We have requirements on having the access enabled/disabled for system dashboards/forms channelwise (UD2 members). For this multiple slice security rules were placed on the cube which has been a tedious maintenance task and is probably adding performance impact on the dashboards. We are thinking of replacing the slice security rules via a Finance rule which will set conditional input for selected Entity, Scenario, Time, UD1, UD2 members from super user dashboard, Admin can lock/unlock these intersections via a super user dashboard on a button click. Is there a better alternative for achieving this? Any leads would be appreciated. 

Hi all, I am trying to create a journal where the UD dimension elements are selectable on rows. The default setting shows only accounts in the rows while the UD elements are in the journal POV.    How can I move some of the UDs on the rows to achieve an HFM like journal where the user can reclass from 1 UD element to another UD element? One employee was terminated in June; however, calculations are being done all throughout the year (1-12). Should be zeroed out from July to December. (In Plan Reports) How do I ensure that calculations are made from January to June, but zeroed out after July until the end of the year?    

Good afternoon, as my corporation works through developing our application, we've copied our application a few times to ensure new upgrades don't interfere with existing working solutions. When copying the application today with a SNOW ticket, I received the following message: "Application will be created as a production application. Long Term Retention policies are applied to all production applications so additional costs will be incurred." Our cloud application only has one environment: production. What kind of costs are associated with having multiple applications? is this something I should be careful about to avoid getting a bill from OneStream?

Hello All, I want to display the default currency value for specific entities in a cube view. Account being displayed is of type Balance so ShowCurrency setting fails to display currency here. Thinking of writing a XFBR rule to pull currency and display custom names in the rows along with Entity names. Is there a better alternative to achieve this? Any leads would be appreciated.

Within the Dimension library, is there a way to start collapsed vs. expanded.  even if you collapse the top, when you expand down, the children are not collapsed but still expanded.  We have some very large Dim's with many levels and it is hard to visually find what I am looking for.  Would love to be able to start at the top and expand down (like you can do in excel). Is there a default setting somewhere I can change.

Hi, is there an easy way to prevent users to work on wrong periods? It seems that all periods in Onestream are open for data load.   This request is mostly related to statutory consolidation.   My concern is that some end user can start working of Jul 2042 (instead of July 2022) after realizing after a week that he is working on the wrong period. I know that in Hyperion the admin had to "initialize" the data unit setting the "Review level" as "First pass". If status is not "First pass" nobody can work. Instead in Cognos Controller the same feature is achieved with the "Submission" creation, where the consolidator selects Scenario and Period to open and which forms are assigned to the specified submission. If Cognos submission is not set obody can work.   I am wondering if there a standard feature in Onestream to lock all periods and then enable them month by month?   Thanks in advance for the help, Marcello

Is there a way to apply security on the records inside a Register ? For example I have 10 Entities and 10 Workflow Profiles with distributed registers built, Now inside the Registers there is a column for CostCenters. There are around 10-15 CC's. Users specific to CC should only see their records in Plan Register table. Is that possible ?

All,New to OneStream but familiar with other tools in the space.  One request recently from a user was for a functionality similar to that of the "Personal Sandbox" capability within IBM TM1 / Planning Analytics.  This functionality allowed a user to easily create a new scenario that allowed them to perform what-if analysis and once complete, discard the scenario or (permissions permitting) push the new data back into an existing scenario.Any functionality or approaches like this available in OneStream?Thanks!

The client would like to select the UD4 and have it retrieve a Word doc / Text Editor for that selected UD4. Within the scenario dimension does the workflow tracking frequency / Start Time / Finish time affect the forms templates form frequency? We had scenarios that run for 4 months with the start month and workflow month being the same, the quarterly/half year forms worked as expected. We have since changed the work flow start and end times to be the full calendar year (all 12 months), but this has caused the the quarterly/half yearly forms to no longer appear in the workflow. They only appear if the frequency is set to monthly. Can anyone explain before i raise a ticket? Thanks      

Hey everyone! I've added a new department to my application and just realized it's not showing up as an option when I'm adding a new headcount-- see screenshot below. Has anyone seen this? I added 7 other departments together and none of them have this issue. I don't know where else to look for errors so any tips would be greatly appreciated.    

I have a set of Controller level users for Audit reasons don't have access to load or modify data.  I am wanting them to be able to enter Variance Comments.  The answer maybe obvious, but I wanted to be sure.  Do I have to grant them access to load data to these data points to be able to also enter their comments?
