Application Build

Dear Community  We want to update an application from the 6.8.1 version to 7.3.3 of OneStream.  Is there any possibility that the member ID could change from one version to another?  Thank you in advance 

We in the process of data validation and are constantly getting  "Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown." I know in hyperion we should change the time out.  Is there something similar we can do with onestream?      

Hi All,   I am using  Import , Forms and AdjInput   for Different columns in One Cube View but I want to Hide those names in the Cube View which are highlighted in Red color in the below picture, Can anyone suggest how to  Hide/ Rename those names?   Please find the attached screenshot for your reference         Thanks in Advance.        

Hello, For Planning we use a scenario of type Model, on this scenario I do not find why consolidation on Revenue accounts is not working. The translation is working, but it does not aggregate or consolidate to group level. For accounts of type Flow (for volumes) it does work. Setting on the account is: Is Consolidated (Regardless of Formula Type), no formula is active on the account. Apart from that it happens also on asset accounts. I checked the Business Rule for consolidation, but couldn't find anything related to scenario or account. Any hints where I could look would be much appreciated. Kind regards Ben  

New install of 7.3.1.WebServer on one machine.  AppServer on another.When I attempt to access any of the WebServer pages, I am prompted with a very odd login page.The only fields on this page are a missing header_logo,  username/password fields and a login button.I tried to log in with the default Administrator password and it says "The password was reset and needs to be changed."  I have not logged in to OneStream yet, so the default password should not have changed.Since I cannot access OneStream, I am not able to reset the password.I have no idea where to start looking to resolve this one.Any help would be appreciated.Raymond

My client is using the 7.2.3.14520 server and getting an error message that says:Unable to log on User ''.  Your client XF version '7.2.14520' is incompatible with the XF server version '7.2.2.14307'.We get that error message when using the URL or the (7.2.3..14520) Windows client.  Same error. We are able to click through and login.Any ideas?

Hi Team, I am writing this post in regard to moving the cubeview up or down without renaming the CubeViews. For example: In workflow profile we have option to move the task/activities up and down. Do we have any such kind of options in the Cube Views to rearrange the same.

Hi everyone. I am looking for some assistance with using data buffers for a revenue planning form. Essentially, budgeted revenue growth percentages will be input individually for each brand by month. The total PY Actual revenue for each brand by month will be loaded into OneStream. The formula to forecast budget is:CY Budget = PYAct * (1 + Growth % / 100) While I can calculate each CY Budget cell individually for each brand by month, this would be a tedious and very long process since there are 26 brands and 12 months, which would require 312 individual calculations. I would like to use a data buffer instead to calculate CY Budget by looping through each brand (and across all months from Jan 2022 to Dec 2022). However, I am unsure of how to do this and would appreciate guidance. For ease of reference, I have also attached a screenshot of my cube view.

Using v.7.4.1.Initially, I set up 1 WebServer and 1 AppServerI configured the single AppServer to handle all processing and added that AppServer to the WebServer Config.The AppServer was receiving the heartbeat request as expected.Then I set up a second AppServer.  I changed 1 AppServer to be General Access and Stage Load.  I set up the other AppServer to be Consolidation and Data Management.I checked the logs on both AppServers and only the AppServer configured as General Access and Stage Load received the heartbeat request.I decided to swap the AppServer functions and the heartbeat followed the General Access AppServer.I assumed the heartbeat would be found on ALL AppServers.  Is it by design that ONLY the General Access AppServer gets the heartbeat?

hello - I have the Workflow start time and Workflow end time set on the Scenario. I am trying to change WF POV from Dashboard component Combo box by passing Scenario as parameter. scenario is changing but the year is not, i need workflow start year dynamically updated along with scenario. Any inputs on how to get the Workflow start year changed along with Scenario is appreciated.   below are my settings under Actions section Selection changed POV Action: Change Workflow Selection changed POV Arguments: WFScenario=|!MyWFScenario!|

Hi Community, Does anyone have experience running confirmation rules when the workflow tracking frequency on the scenario is set to yearly?  The rule looks like its only running for the POV time which the WFYear but I want the rule to run for each period. I'm hoping someone else has come across this as well. Cheers!

Hi, I would like to know how to extract a list of active user from an entity in Onestream.

Recent installation of 7.3.1.1 WebServer and 3 AppServers.When I log on to the WebServer and attempt to hit "http://localhost:50001/OneStreamWeb/OneStreamXF.aspx, I get an error that says 'Unable to access application server using address "http://[AppServer]:50002/OneStreamApp." 'If I open a browser on my webserver and navigate to http://[AppServer]:50002/OneStreamApp/svc/Data.svc, I get the expected result ("You have created a service").I was also able to create an application database from my app server, so I know the connection to the db is correct.How do I figure out what is missing?Thank you in advance for any help. Ray

Could you confirm if it is possible to apply Security when using in an application the EXTENDED DIMENSIONALITY: It means, if we  want that Corporate cannot create new users for a specific LOB, or create new companies or accounts or manage access rights for this LOB. It is possible to restrict to Corporate all these options? Many thanks

We would like to combine two of our cubes into one.  Some of the UD dimensions will change in the new combined cube.  Is it best to start with a new application?  Any suggestions?

When using a Parameter to specify a member in a CubeView, how do I specify which Workspace the Parameter is in?  

My client needs me to capture foreign characters apart from regular English as part of Account Metadata. Some of their ERP(Account/Entity) data is in chinese characters and the question was will this be brought in to onestream in their local language or do they first need to translate it to english?    

Hello, Is it possible to remove user defined dimension association from cube (Application>Cubes>Cube Dimensions)? We've an unused dimension initially created but now we'd like to remove it, as all data is loaded at None member. But when we try to change that UD7 dimension setting to default (RootUD7Dim), it throws below error: "Error updating cube. Unable to modify cube 'CUBENAMEXXXX' dimensions because the cube has data."   I know that error is because we've loaded data already but just wondering if there's a way to get rid of this dimension from cube.   Thanks, Gaurav  

Hi, I have a requirement to report on transaction currency. Is there a way for me not to use any UDs to hold the transaction currency? May be  using the alternate input currency in flow? Any suggestion is appreciated . Thanks

What alterantive solution you have build for Workforce Planning. I don't want to use People Planning Market place solution. 1) Run calculations inside the cube by storing all employee information. 2) Relational Table + Cube. Can you give me a top level design where i can start with ? Thanks!
