Workflow and Data Integration

Hello,I am writing a SQL Query that references tables in different databases, one that exists in the External database (BI Blend) and one that exists in the Application database. I am having trouble setting up my data adapter to allow for pulling in both tables to perform a Union, as I need to specify the Database Location. Is this possible?

Hi All,We currently have BiBlend set up to use all 20 attributes. We're considering reusing two attributes to load data from different columns (these attributes are currently used but are no longer needed). Our plan involves renaming these attributes in the Cube Settings and updating the data source.Does anyone know if this is possible? Are there any restrictions or limitations on how attributes can be used or modified after the initial configuration?Thanks in advance for your insights.

Hi all,  I'm after some guidance for a capex form that I'm currently developing. Simply, it's a form that takes the current month closing balance (BS accounts) less the prior month closing balance, and need to categorise these movements.  At the end of FY24, 2 entities liquidated (LQE) and transferred assets to a new entity. In the entity dimension, it's timestamped in the 2 entities as no longer in use from FY25 M1 onwards. So for FY25, there is no form to fill in for the 2 LQE's but there is for the new entity. However, at group level, it shows the FY24 balance with 2 LQE's and no balance for new entity, and FY25 is no LQE's, just the new entity. Because the setting means the 2 entities are no longer part of the group, it's no longer showing in the movement columns. See below.  The real movement for the month to be explained is -33k, but the calculated movement ignores the 2 LQE's and just shows the new entity with +164k addition. Any ideas how I can develop this form

When loading data through batch file, does transformation event handler invoked the same way as running through manual workflow steps? Also, how can I execute Workflow (import->validate->load) through batch?

Hello OneStream Community,I'm working on how to implement a REST API in OS, but i'm not sure to understand all the steps, i've already read the documentation and i've found it very hard to understand, can anyone please explain how can we implement it in OS what are the steps to follow, i started by downloading and installing POSTMAN for the tests but i don't know what should do i do after, please any help will be much appreciated. I'm also woundering if there any data management that should be used for this Thanks and merry christmas.

I have come across a validation error that is kind of vague. I created a new entity, confirmed it is setup the same way as its sibling, and added it to my transformation rules, but my validation step kicks out an error. Any ideas?  

Hi Everyone. I had a Business Rule that checked the Workflow table to see if a scenario was blocked, but it always showed WFProfiles as blocked. I don’t know where this information is coming from, as those WFProfiles were unblocked in the environment but appeared as blocked in the table. How can I verify this information?

I cloned an existing connection that pulls the Scenario and Date from the workflow.  The new connection is requiring me setup a  New Scenario Transformation rule that is basically Budget --> Budget and time rule 2024M1 --> 2024M1.  The connection I cloned doesn't require the additional rules and was pulling Actuals.  All my Data Sources, Scenario, and Workflow settings seem the same.  Any suggestions on what I am missing?  I don't want to maintain the time rules, so that's why I'm trying to see what I'm doing wrong.

Hi Everyone,I am actually trying to make a dashboard that let users execute different sequences from data management without accessing the Application tab so i am using a dashboard with a combo box that lets you choose the step you want  and a button to execute it.The problem is that i don't know how to send to the button the sequence i chose from the combo box and how to make so that the button can execute any sequence i chose without preparing the parameters in advance like we do in the data management tab where we run then choose parameters we need. I already linked a parameter containing the list of steps to populate the combo box but i don't know how to send the selected step to the button to run it. Thank you.

Once my SIC Gateway is online, how can I apply the data sources to specific workflow profiles? The "data source name" shown on the Custom System Configuration is not one of the available options to select for the workflow profiles.

Greetings OS Integrators, Going with v8 and SIC for integrations, it is not an option to have 3. party assemblies added to the cloud environment. I am building a integration to push data from OS to an Azure Blob Storage location, and in this case I want to use some of the nice nuget packages (assemblies) that provides an easy way to do this, hereby authentication. I therefore want to use the following assemblies for my solution, that will run on SIC as a Smart function: Azure.Storage.Blobs Azure.Storage.Common Azure.Identity Azure.Core As such, I am able to compile my Smart Function against an existing SIC gateway, and able to call the function from within OneStream. But, issues lies in required other dependencies within my code-logic. So my questions are: Are Smart Functions compiled against .NET framework 4.8? Looking at the assemblies already available within the SIC folder, I can see that both Azure.Core and Azure.Identity are there. Can I reference those by just using an import

I am getting error "Unable to access database table 'ABC'. Database table 'ABC' does not exist". If we create a table with extensibility. Does it solve the problem?

I have a form template profile containing 2 form template groups. Each template group has a selection of CubeViews.Template Group A has Access group = Everyone. Template Group B has Access group = SuperUser. The template profile has access security = Everyone (although it doesn't seem to matter what is in here). All forms are visible and all forms can be completed as long as the CubeView group access group is low enough.The form template profile is attached to a workflow form profile. The workflow form profile access group = everyone.I had hoped that the list of forms would be restricted for everyone, with only SuperUsers seeing and executing a slightly longer list of forms (ie Form template group B).I hope I have made sense. The only way I seem to be able to restrict access is by applying CubeView Access security. It looks like all Form security settings are being ignored or overridden by some other security. Can anyone throw any light on this, please?

I'm having trouble getting my data files to import into the correct quarter of the workflow. Whenever I load the data into the Q2 import of the workflow, it removes the Q1 data and adds the Q2 data to the Q1 import of the workflow. (screenshot attached)  I am having a hard time finding the correct settings to allow me to load the quarterly data files into each quarter of the workflow. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!  

I want to create a yearly LTP scenario of type (scenario1) where input frequency is yearly and data can be input for like below I want to restrict this scenario for data input for particular years like, FY26-FY36. (with 1 entry a year) What setting can I do- to make this scenario available for input only for 10 years.  

Hello, First time posting question here. I'm a developer new to the OneStream.   I'm trying to run a remote business rule to pull a file that stored on Local Gateway Server. The idea is to have the content of the data file returned to OS in bytes[].  I have extender rule  and SIC Function rule. After I executed the Extender rule, I printed out a few things from the returned object and looks like there is an exception when executing the remote rule. Could anyone give any pointers? Hello Everybody,Could you please help to get a solution how to complete all WF forms at once for all descendants. We already got the extensibility rule for this purpose but it's completing all WF steps except forms. The function for form exists (brapi.Forms.Process.ExecuteCompleteForm(si, formPk)), but we are having trouble retrieving the formPk...Would be highly grateful if someone can share an idea how to solve this.Best Regards,Svetlana  

Hello OneStream community,I'm working on a data import process where our source file contains Entity codes with hyphens (e.g., "ENT-BER"), but in our OneStream application, these codes use underscores instead (e.g., "ENT_BER").I'm looking for an efficient way to automatically transform these Entity codes during the import process without having to create individual mappings for each entity.Where in the OneStream configuration should I add this transformation rule? In the Data Source settings, Transformation Rules, or somewhere else?Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!
