I am getting error "Unable to access database table 'ABC'. Database table 'ABC' does not exist". If we create a table with extensibility. Does it solve the problem?

Please can someone explain to me : 1. What is the best practices to set up the Parent Sort Order for entities in a legal (default hierarchy) and an alternative rollup.  2. How is it used (Best practices)  3. What is the impact if it is changed  I cannot find significant information around it.  

What level of data do most of the companies import from their ERPs to OS, e.g. balances or transactions?  

I have a form template profile containing 2 form template groups. Each template group has a selection of CubeViews.Template Group A has Access group = Everyone. Template Group B has Access group = SuperUser. The template profile has access security = Everyone (although it doesn't seem to matter what is in here). All forms are visible and all forms can be completed as long as the CubeView group access group is low enough.The form template profile is attached to a workflow form profile. The workflow form profile access group = everyone.I had hoped that the list of forms would be restricted for everyone, with only SuperUsers seeing and executing a slightly longer list of forms (ie Form template group B).I hope I have made sense. The only way I seem to be able to restrict access is by applying CubeView Access security. It looks like all Form security settings are being ignored or overridden by some other security. Can anyone throw any light on this, please?

hi all, I wanted to retrieve a workflow status and form status.  I am able to do this using the data adapter method query for the same. I also wanted to assign a user responsible for each workflow and retrieve that info . I was thinking of doing this using one of the workflow text properties. How will i be able to retrieve that info into my status report? has anyone done something similar?  

Hi, Does maybe anyone know how can I get a status of a single process in workflow from BR? I was trying to use method GetInputWorkflowStatusForMembers, however I can't select any specific process there: Dim wfInfo As WorkflowInfo = BRApi.Workflow.Status.GetInputWorkflowStatusForMembers(si, cubeId, entityId, scenarioId, timeId) I need this check in Extensibility Rule as it will be ran using DMJ. Hi all, I am building some form templates for my workflow profiles, and have a query regarding the best way to setup the form template and entity parameter (setup below):   I would really like to be able to have users navigate between the forms, and the entity POV that they have selected in the parameter remain constant between forms. As it is now, when they move from a form, it always goes to the top entity in the list. I have some workflows with 20+ entities, and it may be that someone is working on the forms for just 1 entity at a point in time so has to re-select the entity each time. I've seen a "Sticky POV" idea raised on IdeaStream, but that hasn't moved since 2022.  I have seen mentioned at Splash that there's an option to have the user state pov remain through a business rule, but haven't seen anything other than a SetUserState? And I'm not really sure how to write the code and apply it here.  Any advice would be really helpful.  

Im being given an account consisting of 4 numbers, a - and 4 more numbers like:5150-0707. Im using range TR to map to the OS accounts, so for example 5000~5050-0304 works fine, but if i put the ~ after the - like this: 5000-0001~0304 it doesnt work any more. is there any way to fix this and make it work?

Hi all, I'm trying to find a way to extract comments and text inputs using a data management job. OS doesn't let me select V#VarianceExplanation member in the dataunit section. Error processing Data Management Step 'ExportComments'. Non-numeric View member 'VarianceExplanation' cannot be used in data filter Any help is appreciated.

I have a client that has a app with 7 years of data in it.  They would like when we get to the end of 2024 to chop off the last year in the app so that in only ever has 7 years of data in it and archive that data to another app.  Just curious on how people are doing this with chopping off a year and putting it into another app.  Thanks

Dear coleagues,  when I need to change transformation group within multiple transformation profiles I wanted to export XML file, do the change and then reupload it. Unfortunatelly it add new group but does not remove the old one. I guess the merge approach it to blame.  Do you know a way how to do this excersise in more sophisticated way than running a clicking derby? Thanks for help!

Hello OneStream CommunityDoes anyone know how to get the data source time to use the WF time instead of the start Time range scenario . The import data source is using the start time instead of the WF , POV time. Thank you

I'm having trouble getting my data files to import into the correct quarter of the workflow. Whenever I load the data into the Q2 import of the workflow, it removes the Q1 data and adds the Q2 data to the Q1 import of the workflow. (screenshot attached)  I am having a hard time finding the correct settings to allow me to load the quarterly data files into each quarter of the workflow. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!  

I want to create a yearly LTP scenario of type (scenario1) where input frequency is yearly and data can be input for like below I want to restrict this scenario for data input for particular years like, FY26-FY36. (with 1 entry a year) What setting can I do- to make this scenario available for input only for 10 years.  

HI All, I have been asked to see if OneStream can take a feed in to update the metadata. We are looking at having a Master Data Management system which will be used to update all the downstream systems. SO new accounts, entities or dimension members get created in this MDM system and then ideally gets automatically updated into OneStream (either mapping tables or Metadata hierarchy updates). Has anyone tried to do this ? Thanks Tahir

I am looking to implement an incremental data extraction feature for our cube data. Specifically, I need to extract all data from inception and continue to do so on a quarterly basis, including any updates to previous quarters. Any ideas or best practices on how to achieve this effectively would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, First time posting question here. I'm a developer new to the OneStream.   I'm trying to run a remote business rule to pull a file that stored on Local Gateway Server. The idea is to have the content of the data file returned to OS in bytes[].  I have extender rule  and SIC Function rule. After I executed the Extender rule, I printed out a few things from the returned object and looks like there is an exception when executing the remote rule. Could anyone give any pointers? Hello Everybody,Could you please help to get a solution how to complete all WF forms at once for all descendants. We already got the extensibility rule for this purpose but it's completing all WF steps except forms. The function for form exists (brapi.Forms.Process.ExecuteCompleteForm(si, formPk)), but we are having trouble retrieving the formPk...Would be highly grateful if someone can share an idea how to solve this.Best Regards,Svetlana  

Is there a way I can check my source records before importing data into a stage? If I am in a workflow for Import, Validate and Load, Even before the data is imported, I would like to check my source record for a condition like if it is less than a particular value. Only if the condition satisfies, I need to proceed to import else stop the workflow. If someone has done it, can you share the setup and code for the same. Appreciate your help!

Is there any way to read data from Onestream cube (.csv/.txt/Data Table) and push it to external system using external Web API connection (Not Onestream Rest API, SFTP)? Is it possible to do it using SIC?

Hello OneStream community,I'm working on a data import process where our source file contains Entity codes with hyphens (e.g., "ENT-BER"), but in our OneStream application, these codes use underscores instead (e.g., "ENT_BER").I'm looking for an efficient way to automatically transform these Entity codes during the import process without having to create individual mappings for each entity.Where in the OneStream configuration should I add this transformation rule? In the Data Source settings, Transformation Rules, or somewhere else?Any guidance or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help! 

Hello. When importing an application from an older version of OneStream XF into the latatest version of OneStream XF in CloudI received an error message regarding the "DataManagement.xml" file. It wasn't admitting the <dataManagementProfiles> section of the file. So I had to remove it fromt he XML file to load sucessfully the application. Then when I entered the application (using the OneStream client), I saw in the screen that we didn't have a section for DataManagemente Profiles (neither a button to craeate them). Are they still in use? (so we should open a Ticket to get the issue checked by OneStream Technical Support)Or are they an outdated type of artifact that no longer exist in the newest version of OneStream XFSupport?Thanks in advance

I am using a below code to display Intersection Error. The code works perfectly fine- except for one thing.
