Hi , I was wondering if i can have dynamic POV in a cubeview without BR. Is there possibility of condition in POV for example I can put a param scenario and say whenever Budget UD1= Model and if Actual it should be 1000.

Hi everyone, we come across an issue with the excel addin formula (XFGETCELL). Although all dimensions are specified in the formula, the result gets impacted by the settings of the Cube POV. Sometimes no values get retrieved, sometimes all cells with formulas show #Name or #Value. Uur expectation is that whatever is set in die Cube POV, the XFGETCELL formula retrieves the data based on the dimensions used in the formula. Does anyone of you have this issue as well? To my mind this is a bug in the excel addin. Regards Martin

I have attached multiple Cube views in one excel(Different sheets) through cube view connection. Here, i want to pull that consolidated excel file into Books. how can we achieve it. can you please help us to sort out this.

When I use a formula to set-up the time member, the XFGETCELL formula that refers to this time member is stuck in #REFRESH. The weird thing is, if I go in the XFGETCELL formula and hit enter without changing anything, when I refresh the sheet it works and gets a value, but next time I close excel, re-open, re-connect and refresh it's stuck once again in #REFRESH. If I hardcode the time I don't have this issue, or if I concatenate to a hardcoded number, it also works. As an example I have a list of 12 rows with numbers across 30 or so columns and a total at the end. The rows represents each month, so to get the last current month with numbers I use a formula (example countif) on the total column and then concatenate this to the year, so if I have data until October, I would get 10, so the formula returns 2021M10 for the current year and 2020M10 for the prior year. Is this an issue with the add-in itself where it is confused on the order the excel formulas are being calculated?

Hi All, Is there a maximum with regard to the datasources used in the BI viewer. I am not able to add more then 3 datasources? I currently use 3 cubeview MD    

  Hi, All -  I’ve developed a dashboard that includes a text box, parameter components, and other elements. Users can input a date and click a trigger button to fetch the data, using inbound parameters in the data adapter. The dashboard is supposed to default to a date value upon loading, but it’s not pulling the expected default from the parameter. Ideally, the dashboard should open without any issues, but instead, it’s throwing the following SQL error: "Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from character string. (SQL Error Number -2146232060, 241)" Currently, the dashboard is not opening and displays the error above. The data adapter field value format for date is as shown below. I’ve tried various options for setting the default value in the dashboard parameter, but the issue persists.  Please let me know if you have any suggestions. thank you !        

Hi,  I am just wondering, is this a limitation of OneStream? Does the column member filter support only two levels? Are we unable to add additional levels beyond this? Thank you to those who will share their inputs.  

The dashboard visibility is set to "Always" and the security access group is set to "everyone". If I select the dashboard in Oneplace to open, it brings me this error. Could this be related to the workflow not being set accordingly (permissions, data, etc)?  

 Hello, has anyone come across this message using Report Viewer? The export function is not an option when selecting the "View Report" icon. 

We are on OS v7.4 and moving over to OS v8.5. We have both versions up and running as we move over. While running QVs using the Spreadsheet module within the app and setting the Data Style to "Comma [0]" in both, it appears correctly in v7.4 with negative numbers displaying as (100) but in v8.5 it shows as -100. Same thing if we pick "Currency [0]". (see screenshots below) Is there a chance that the default style didn't make it into OS v8? OR, is there a place/menu to modify this default style without creating a Custom style? We noticed this happening in version 8.4 as well, but we upgraded to 8.5 and it is still having this issue. Hi Our YE reporting pack is based on a book which retrieves a Word document (table of contents etc.) followed by a number of CVs (financials). The page references in the table of contents is static. I would like to Supress Zeros in all the CV, which would place the CVs on different pages, depending on which entity runs the book. Therefore, I would like to explore if there is a way to use dynamic page references, e.g. by putting a reference to which page a certain CV would be placed. For reference, we are currently on v7.3 but upgrading to v8.5 within long. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I am new to building cubes in OS, I am attempting to build a calculated column based on data from two other columns, I have created a nested member which correctly brings in all the data. When I attempt do use GetDataCell I return errors that it cannot find my named Column. In the screenshot you can see the member filters (highlighted are the same rows) Here you can see the output when I run the cube view. Please let me know if I cannot reference in this way and how I may solve the problem

I would like to know more about this workaround. In our company, some users utilize the PDF view option to send their reports, not only within the company but also for SOX controls. Therefore, it is important for us to continue using the PDF view in OneStream 7.4v. Questions: Does this workaround impact only dashboards, or does it also affect Cube View reports? We have only been given the option to remove PDF. Is there a possibility of an upgrade to continue using PDF?   Thank you! Laura 

Hello, I am facing a problem in making dynamic names for BI-viewer. I have a data adapter with Command type as Cube view. I am using this adapter in BI-viewer. I want to make the column names similar in cube view.  For example, in my scenario I have columns changing according to the time.  but here it will show as Col0Value, Col1Value. As per cube view headers, Col0 is 2024M1 and Col1 is 2024M2 and this will change according to time updated for next periods. It will not be same every time. How to get the same names as per cube view into BI-viewer column list.

Hello, I am using a textbox to input a date, and its action property is linked to a parameter with the type set to "Input Type." When running the dashboard, the user wants today's date to be populated as the default value instead of manually entering a date. Has anyone tried using the Date function with the input parameter type for this purpose? thank you!  

Hi all, I am working on the 445 calendar and 2025 started on a Wednesday so into my Actual Data dashboard I do need to load the last 2 days of 2024. I have those days in the load file but they do not show up in the dashboard.  In the CV I am using this set up: T#2025.base.remove(2025W53).  Looking forward to any tips :)  

Trying to understand a little more about this instance. This message appears when trying to run a period that has no data. Some questions have emerged around:Can we customize this message? (Thinking no, it is standard OOB message describing what is happening).What is happening? Does the data require consolidating in order to be leveraged? Under what circumstances would you receive this message relating to dashboards?  

I have a dashboard with a cubeview in row one and a chart in row two.  I want the chart below to change based on what the user clicks in the cube view.  I was hoping when the user clicks a new cell in the cubeview it would trigger the "Selection Changed Server Task" action but I can not seem to get a rule to run there.   Does anyone know how a BR on a cube view dashboard compoent is triggered?  I was hoping on cell selection but maybe not.  Thanks.
