Hi all,  I am implementing Guided Reporting into our workflows. The entity parameter I have is a member list looking up E#Root.WFProfileEntities.  The cube view is a pretty standard balance sheet, with row and column sets. I have embedded it into the workflow, so that users can come in and use their reporting for the specific entities.  The issue I have is that whenever I open the balance sheet and set the rows and columns, the cube view always defaults to the Group Parent entity, even if the WF profile has different assigned entities. I change workflow, and it still shows the parent entity. It's only when I change the entity manually from the GR parameter button that it refreshes.  Any idea how to link the entity button to set the cube view upon first run? Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe there is a BR that I can build? Thanks!

Hi, we have delimited data source implemented in application. In data source we have two additional rows on top and one empty row- file works fine but now we want to retrieve information("Chicago") from skipped row(number 2). It looks that OneStream read data starting from row number 5.  Could you please help me with understanding why these first rows were skipped? Thank you in advance.

Hello, I'm attempting to create my first table view using the syntax below.  The SQL is a very basic record grab from DataEntryAuditSource (initial POC).  Compiles fine and seems to be okay relative to the user guide, but I keep getting an error message when I attempt to run.  Does anyone have any thoughts on what I could be doing wrong? tldr: What's a performant, reliable way to determine a member's parent within a given hierarchy?I have been developing a custom extender rule to automate OneStream metadata updates based on our master metadata source. One of the last remaining tasks to solve is how to correctly execute member moves. As OneStream can have a given member exist multiple times in the same dimension, the only way to execute a move in OneStream is by specifying "move from parent A to parent B." Parent B is quite easy to determine as our metadata source provides this information per-hierarchy and does not allow duplicates but it does not tell us parent A, or even if there was a move at all. This means I have to validate that the specified member 1) is under the same parent that our metadata source says it should be and 2) isn't anywhere else in the hierarchy. However, in OneStream, I know of no way to query the parent(s) of a member but only those within a specific hierarchy. I've never needed to do this in a

Hello all, I need to verify and confirm the method of choice to set up an NS to OS 8.5 integration WITHOUT the SIC in play.Here is what I have uncovered thus far....A SuiteAnalytics Connect is being considered via ODBC so OS can pull data from NS.  I read a few things about this.  One is that a BR would be set up in OS to call on a SuiteScript in NS initiate the data pull.  Now, the missing piece is how to set up the connection in OS if there is no ODBC installed.  Another thing is that SIC would not be needed.I also perused a blog that stated that Support can set up s direct connection to NS from OS, provided they have the NS info.  Can anyone please confirm this approach?Rest API could be leveraged but looking for an alternative. Any input would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Ed P 

Hi Team, How does XFGetMemberProperty works in Excel AddIn? The fields in the formula I have are - MemberNameorScript PropertyName VaryByCubeTypeName VaryByScenarioTypeName VaryByTimeorTimeDimProfileName I want to pull the properties for Text 1 to Text 8 from OneStream Production for Entity, for different Time Periods like Default, 2023, 2024 and 2025. Now the properties I pulled at Default are giving correct result. But when trying to pull at year level like 2023, 2024 and 2025, I am not getting the correct data. It is only showing the data present at Default. But in OneStream Prod, I do have data in 2023, 2024 and 2025 for the Text Tags. In my formula, I was setting VaryByTimeorTimeDimProfileName = "2023". And so on for 2024 and 2025I am getting the same thing for XFGetMemberPropertyVolatile formula as well. In OneStream my year values are stored in 'Stored Property Value' Can someone please help me here ?

Hi,We are currently using a Dashboard that allows admin to remove users from Security groups. I would like to enhance this functionality so that approvers, rather than admins, have the ability to remove users from security groups.Currently, the system security roles under the " System tab" are set to "ADMIN" by default for the "Manage System Security Groups" setting.Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to these System Security roles due to the large number of approvers across various groups.Could you offer suggestions or guidance on how we can implement this enhancement effectively?Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone!I require some assistance regarding the following objectives that I have in mind for this cube view.Showing the monthly data input cells (which I have done), along with the total sum of all the months in the year.Getting a percentage by using the monthly data / current year.Currently, the Amount 227.00 under actuals - 2025 column is a member filter under rows/columns whereby i use getDataCell(CVC(Col, 1) + CVC(Col, 2) .... CVC(Col, 12)) which I know it isn't the best idea. But I want the column under 'Total' to show this amount and with this amount, I will calculate the percentage in the next table.For example, on the 2nd table (green cells), on row ACTYPE001, when the user click calculate, the answer should be 1/227 x 100 = 0.44% at Jan 2025, 2/227 x 100 = 0.88% at Feb 2025.Please advice on how I should approach these issues or any improvement or suggestion I should be doing.  

After having read a lot of this superb forum to discover OneStream, I'd like to ask you my first problem that I haven't managed to solve. I'd like to forecast sales for month M in relation to actual sales for month M-1 (if imported), or alternatively the M-1 budget, to which will be added management sales. If I perform this calculation in the view cube of the child entity, it replaces the actual M-1 with the budget when the actual M-1 does not exist (not imported).If I perform this calculation at parent entity level, entities with no M-1 actual are shown at €0 and not at the amount of their budget. I therefore end up with a sales figure that has been reduced by the number of companies that did not report sales in M-1. In my forecast calculation UD7, I was thinking of looping through each base member so that the condition calculation (if the actual is absent then takes the budget, otherwise takes the actual) so that the forecast sales figure displayed corresponds to the sum of the indiv

Hi everyone, I'm currently working on a Cube View and would love some help with setting up conditional formatting based on a comparison between two columns. Specifically, I’m trying to highlight in red any cell in the “Actuals” column (Actual CPK @ ACT 2024 rate, Jan 2024) where the value is greater than the corresponding value in the “Cost per kg” column. To give you a clearer picture, I’ve attached a screenshot showing the layout I’m working with. The "Cost per kg" values are budgeted figures, and I'm comparing them to actuals from 2024 to identify any overages. I’d like the Cube View to visually flag these instances, so they stand out during reviews. Of course, the numbers in both columns are exemplary. In the rows I have different Entities.  Has anyone done something similar or can guide me on the best way to achieve this? Thanks so much in advance for your support!        

Hi All.Is there a way to exclude entities that do not have a Text1 from the following? E#XFMemberProperty(DimType=Entity, Member=|!PerformPnL_Entity!|, Property=Text1).Base or E#XFMemberProperty(DimType=Entity, Member=|!PerformPnL_Entity!|, Property=Text1) Since I have that in my data management and it shows an error if it does not find Text1, I need to exclude those that do not have Text1

Hi, I am building out a Trend report by year and by product, so I have Jan-Dec along the columns, and then 2022-2025 for each product type by row.  My problem is that because i'm viewing this in V#Periodic, when I run the report for March 2025, April's balance shows up as the negative YTD balance for 2025.  Is there any kind of conditional formatting I can use that says something like "If the intersection of month and year in the cube view (in this case, April 2025) is larger than the Time POV parameter selected when you run the report (March 2025), then change the text color to White so it doesn't show up?   

Having the option to disable the "Load" button and only show "Load and Process" on the WF step would help when we add a rule in the process step that needs to be run every time the user uploads a file. This would reduce the risk of a user clicking Load and not Process, which is important for our operational planning teams to avoid data being missed or incorrect because a calculation or rule was not completed.

Does anyone have a business rule that will send you an email notification when the SIC goes down?Or does anyone know if this is possible?

Need some ideas on how to out bound files from OS shared folders to a network driver using UNC through SIC (we are upgrading to 8.2 from 7.3). We have SFTP through SIC works already, however, this specific process cannot be replaced by SFTP at this time. I have seen discussions and recommendation about inbounding through SIC only.

Hello all,I've written a Member Filter Builder on A#IncomeStatement.Base.Where(AccountType Contains Revenue).  A second one for Expense too. I am now trying to sum those rows and cannot seem to get the math logic to render. Any advise out there - what am I missing or not considering? Hi, In our application account dimension member formula field is freeze so unable to see the formula its under Vary By scenario Type and Time and don't see member formula in any of member formula from 1 to 9, so is there any way to track member formula of this account?

hi all, I just want to confirm the tool's approach: If I have a foreign entity (defined as EUR), can I post a journal entry directly to USD (Translated), and it won't be overwritten by the built-in currency translation? (in other words, it won't just overwrite translated with whatever is in local?) Or is there something else I have to do to accomplish a USD journal in a non-USD entity?

Hi, we have a custom member filter in a cube view (i.e. E#Root.CustomMemberList(BRName=X, MemberListName=Y)), and it seems to disable row suppression.In other words, the cube view brings back all filtered members in rows, regardless if there is data, even when the row suppression settings are set.Has anyone else experienced this and can confirm/deny? And if so, is there a way around it? We based architecture on CustomMemberList following the same rules as any other member filter.Jon
