Hello, The client has a calculation for the planning process where I used the prior period values in the calculation for current month values. Here is the data buffer I created: Dim OpCostsDataBuffer As DataBuffer = api.Data.GetDataBufferUsingFormula("FilterMembers(RemoveZeros(F#Top:O#Top:T#POVPrior1:I#Top:U5#None:U6#None:U7#Top:U8#Top),A#Op_Costs.Base,U1#Top.Base, U2#Top.Base) Then, the client had another idea to accommodate where if the calculation is for first month (M1) take a 3-month average and then for the calculation of the subsequent months (M2 – M12) revert to the original logic of trending on prior month – POVPrior1. I added this logic, where I included an IF statement: Dim OpCostsDataBuffer As DataBuffer = New DataBuffer ()If POVPERIODNUM = 1 Then OpCostsDataBuffer = api.Data.GetDataBufferUsingFormula("FilterMembers(RemoveZeros(F#Top:O#Top:T#" & Year1 & "Q4" &":I#Top:U5#None:U6#None:U7#Top:U8#Top),A#Op_Costs.Base,U1#Top.Base, U2#Top.Bas
Hi Community, We have a cubeview that pulls more than 40k records when run for a period in a dashboard. It runs base level for couple of UDs that have ~30k members and 200 members. It renders fairly quickly on dashboard although with paging, but when for exporting the output and running using FDX via DM job (through BR) its taking a lot of time to run. I thought time it takes to run a CV manually should be same when called via Business Rule. Please let me know how can I match the cube view performance when run manually to when I call in a Business Rule. I checked and matched the sparse rows settings both in rows and columns among other checks to match but cannot figure out why it runs slower when i run through business rule.
Does anyone have any experience creating a bar graph with 2 dimensions on the x axis? We have created a bar chart comparing Recurring and non recurring revenue by entity. Currently, I have both the accounts as the rows and and entities to be displayed in the columns. The client wants to see the same chart but for the current month and two previous months for each of the entities. I have tried placing the T#Month(|CVTime|), T#MonthPrior1(|CVTime|), T#MonthPrior2(|CVTime|) in the nested member expansion 2 on the columns but that does not allow me to have multiple dimensions on the x axis and only displays those three months. I am currently using the Chart (Advanced) component. Any ideas are appreciated.
I'm trying to write a business rule creating a KPI which returns the value of an account for same period previous year. I already have a working business rule creating a KPI which returns the value of the current period which has the following formula: Return api.Data.GetDataCell("A#38999:T#" & api.Pov.Time.Name &"").CellAmount Where 38999 is the account number for which I want to get values. What formula should I use to, instead of the current period, get the current period but for the same period previous year? Many thanks in advance!
Good day I was wondering if there was a way to find out which child members of UD4 that has text 8 text in there without going through each member. Once we find that out then is there a way to see where the text 8 is being used in the application Regards
Dear Community, We have a requirement to make all the headers in report as well as in excel to make it bold and to increase the size. Here, I wrote a Business Rule function in Cube View Extender to make the change. But, I see it's getting reflected for only one of the headers in the report. Here, I'm attaching the images for the reference. Any solutions to this are really appreciated. Thanks. -- This is what I have given in the report header. -- And this is the output when generating the report. This bold needs to be applied to all the headers given here. -- This is the output when I'm viewing it in the excel format. No changes are seen here. -- Cube View Extender Business Rule which I used.
Does anyone know if it is possible to format the XML files that are created by the application extract. In particular I want to format the Metadata extract so that there is a single line for the member definition. I want to run a compare process to check what differences there are between 2 files. I want the member name included in the difference line rather than (for example) the currency has changed without any indication of the member. So this <member name...><properties><property name...> instead of: <member name...> <properties> <property name...> Thanks
Re-posting. I hope this time it is in right community.------Hi All,We are a large OneStream shop with 700+ users. The system is in use for last couple of years.Currently our system is hosted in our own Azure environment and managed by our own infra team.We are currently reviewing to see whether we should continue with the same or should we go for OneStream Cloud Managed Service?I would love to hear from fellow OneStreamers following:1) Are you currently using OneStream cloud or hosting it on your Azure / Data center?2) Ours is a very complicated system with multiple group regulatory reporting as well as some LBU planning & budgeting apps on the same environment. While speaking with a colleague, he told me that from his past experience, the system performance wasn't as great on the Cloud compared to customer managed environment. Is this the experience of all OneStream customers out there?3) How's the support experience with OneStream Managed support?4) Did yo
I am trying to save the XML files in the application zip file as separate XML files rather than a single zip. I get the zip file as a byte array and then pass that to XFZip.Unzip The code executes without an error and without any files being saved as well. Does anyone have any suggestions or can point out where I am going wrong with the code? OnPrem V7.4.2 Dim xmlOptions As New XmlExtractOptions xmlOptions.ExtractAllItems = True Dim folderNameForExtract As String = "XMLs" Dim extractPath As String = $"{Environment.GetEnvironmentVariable ("Temp")}\{folderNameForExtract}\" 'Execute the Metadata Extract Using dbConnFW As DBConnInfo = BRAPi.Database.CreateFrameworkDbConnInfo(si) Using dbConnApp As DBConnInfo = BRAPi.Database.CreateApplicationDbConnInfo(si) Dim zippedBytes As Byte() = ApplicationZipFileHelper.Extract(dbConnFW, dbConnApp, Nothing, xmlOptions) XFZip.Unzip(zippedBytes, extractPath) End Using End Using
Afternoon All, I'm looking to create a set of standardised confirmation rules as Finance Business Rules which I then want to reference from the confirmation rule itself to cut down on maintenance. I'm pretty sure this is possible and I've seen some other discussions but I can't quite figure out the code to use in the confirmation rule to trigger the finance rule. I've seen Dim sharedFinanceBR as New OneStream.BusinessRule.Finance.RulesName.MainClass as an option but this syntax doesn't seem to be available in the confirmation rule code. I think maybe it only works in only business rule types? Is anybody willing to share their code please? (Just the part that triggers a public function from a confirmation rule). Thanks! Richard
I need to update the properties (Constraints/Texts) of 20.000 UD members based on transformation rules. The script runs in 10 seconds, but once I add the 'SaveMemberInfo' method it surpasses 2h ... I tried both 'MemberInfo' & 'WritableMemberNoCache' with no performance enhancement Dim ListofU1Stores As List(Of MemberInfo) = BRApi.Finance.Metadata.GetMembersUsingFilter(si, dimensionName, myStoreFilter, True) For Each oStore In ListofU1Stores 'MemberInfo ''Dim myStore As MemberInfo = BRApi.Finance.Metadata.GetMember(si, DimType.UD1.Id, oStore.Member.MemberId, True) ''Dim StoreUDVMInfo As UDVMProperties = myStore.GetUDProperties() 'WritableMember Dim objWritableMember As WritableMember = BRApi.Finance.Members.ReadWritableMemberNoCache(si, DimType.UD1.Id, oStore.Member.Name) Dim objVaryingMemberProperties As VaryingMemberProperties = BRApi.Finance.Members.ReadMemberPropertiesNoCache(si, DimType.UD1.Id, oStore.Member.Name) Di
Hi, Has anyone had success with viewing the GolfStream reporting formulas such as Return on Assets or Asset Turnover? I'm trying to learn how to write some ratios and it would be so helpful to view these. Unfortunately, the formula is greyed out. Please see below.
Is there any way to export a list of orphaned entity members? We pull in hierarchy information from SAP and recently over 1000 entity members were blocked in SAP. This resulted in them going into orphan status in our OneStream instance when we updated our metadata. The issue is that some of these orphans had data and that is causing reconciliation issues. If I could export a list of the orphans, I could match them against all of the SAP entities that have data to determine which orphans needed to be restored. Thanks!
where can i find the files imported in the workflow steps, I can't find em in the File Explorer. Thanks
During the import step of a workflow profile, where does data gets stored before arriving to the staging area ? I am using an Event Handler to manipulate loaded data before it gets saved to the staging area. However, I am unable to retrieve it before it gets stored into 'SourceStageData' Table.Data appears in the database only after the operation named 'WriteTransformedData'. Are loaded data rows stored in memory and processed, then gets saved to the table 'SourceStageData' after operation 'WriteTransformedData' ? How can I access the loaded data before it gets processed (parse and 1st transformation during 'Import' step) ? Intellisense is not working on the 'Transformer' Object, so I can't search for a property/object holding loaded data: [Dim objTransformer As Transformer = DirectCast(args.Inputs(0), Transformer)]
Although account member appears to be in Detailed dimension. The error says account member doesnt exist in dim
Update: Found out the user ID is actually supposed to be a Guid object and not a string. I have a data table which contains a list of UserId's. Currently, I need to convert those UserId's into usernames. I have been attempting to use the variations of the '.GetUser' api. With this test, I have been unable to actually fill my variable with user info for analysis. Is there any known workarounds for this situation? I confirmed that .GetUser works with the username, just not with the UserID. Below is an example of my scripting, the string is of the userID I obtained by testing on a username.
Dear Community, Whenever we use the drill down in OneStream, there is a call called "Calculation Script" at the very end, which in my case is never populated. How is it used ? Are there any way to access it / populate this cell ? Regards,
G'day ONE members, There are blanks for some rows in certain Dimensions in our source data files.1. In DS w/o using a Logical Operator, pls share how to map those blanks to new values, and/or2. In TR, please share how to map those blanks to new values. Thank you.
In my cube view, I need a column (% of net sales) to calculate each row/divided by net sales. In the selected column I am trying to only solve for actual. For example actual gross sales/actual net sales, and then actual sales rebates/actual net sales, and so on down my P&L. There must be a way but I have not found anything useful. I'd greatly appreciate any help.
I am using BIViewer within the dashboard. This BIViewer uses a data adapter of Cube View type. Now, every time the dashboard refreshes, the Cube View runs and the task activity shows a Cube View entry. How can i avoid the task activity entry?
When adding a new member to my dimension I received the following error message when I tried to save it. "Error saving member. "B4632' already exists. I did a search on that dimension and hierarchy and got the result "no items were found". How can I determine why it will not let me save this member? How can I find it?
Hi everyone, I'm having trouble logging a databuffer to the error log. I want to be able to do this to debug some code I've written. I got this concept from the Finance Rules and Calculation Handbook so I believe it's possible but I can't get it to work for me! In the first screenshot is the code. The red box shows the logdatabuffer script that I've written. I know there is data in the databuffer because it produces sensible results (ie. the green box) albeit not quite right, hence why I want to visualise it. The second screenshot shows what I see in the error log. I believe I should be seeing the databuffer results in the orange box area but I just see a blank. Do I need to "switch on" this functionality somehow? What am I doing wrong?!!! Thanks in advance,Richard
Hi there! I am trying to use Postman to run a DM job sequence. I test the DM job locally and it works fine with no parameter.I am using Azure SSO to log on the server.I can retrieve a token from microsoft for my tenant ID using : https://login.microsoftonline.com/bec456-my-t3n4nt-id-e2aba/oauth2/v2.0/token (In green in the printscreen) On my second RestApi call, I use the token I retrieved and I drop the token under Authorization > Bearer Token in Postman.Because I need to run a sequence the URL is : https://aiqos.io:50001/onestreamapi/api/DataManagement/ExecuteSequence?api-version=5.2.0 and the body is : { "BaseWebServerUrl": "https://aiqos.io:50001/onestreamweb", "ApplicationName": "GolfStreamV65", "SequenceName": "RestApi", "CustomSubstVarsAsCommaSeparatedPairs": "" } I also created an admin user in OneStream that matches the Application (client) ID found in Azure. (In red in the printscreen)The on the back end in the server config, I added the OS Werb Api Cli
