Hello Everyone, I need a Literal parameter which will dynamically calculate something like the prior forecast based on another parameter so i ended up writing an XFBR for that Literal parameter, something like below XFBR(HelperRule,GetPriorForecast). And now i need this Prior Forecast value for some Finance calculations. So I tried to retrieve the value of Parameter in the finance rule by using  BRApi.Dashboards.Parameters.GetLiteralParameterValueBut it returns the same "XFBR (Helper Rule, Get Prior Forecast)" rather than the Actual String Value. Strangely enough, if i use the same XFBR for Scenario Filter in a DM step, it picks up the proper string value. Curious Why would it not work when I try to retrieve its value in a finance BR?

Hi Team, I want to add one excel that display all the contents in start of a book. I tried to load the excel file in a folder and try to pull it through the add file component in the book but i am unable to fetch it in the report while executing. Is there any possible way that i can achieve this?   Thanks

Hi all, How do we calculate Data Unit in OneStream ? I know that the largest Data Units should never be above 2-3 million intersections. The sweet spot for OneStream is between 250,000 and 500,000 records. But what can be the maximum possible records in the given example we can have to avoid performance issue in OneStream ? Please consider these dimensions in OneStream. Thanks

Hi, I have a book, with different report, but 2 of them are excel spreadsheets with cubeviews inside. They work, but after created and attached i am getting this error if i want to open it again and do any change.   Error in DXCustomFunctionsHelper.GetSpreadsheetDataProvider(). The spreadsheetDataProvider is not available using the Workbook's Tag property. It works in the book.... Any idea? Anyone?   Thanks JJ

Hi All, We have a client who is concerned about users being able to delete and reload journal entry attachments. From what I can see there is no audit record of this, the items show up in the ‘Attachment’ table when posted but once deleted there is no record of this being deleted. From what I can tell there isn’t a separate audit table associated with this. Does anyone know if there is way to prevent users from being able to delete an attachment or a way to provide an audit of items that were changed? I also was trying to find where attachments for Journals get stored to see if changing security on a folder was possible (maybe the only record is the table itself and this isn’t an option). Another idea was an event handler but it doesn’t seem like deleting an attachment is considered an event. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi All, I am trying to display percentage values for the different continents in a BI Viewer component with a Choropleth Map. The display of the values works, but I would like to see only one label per continent, as is the case with South America, for example, and not for each individual country, as is the case with Africa and the other continents. Is there a way to change the labeling to only once per continent?

We currently have a cube view built out to compare specific GL account values from quarter to quarter. Some of these values needs to be translated using using FX rates. We have AverageRate and ClosingRate, but when assigning the Currency in the Cube view it seems to default to AverageRate, but the requirement is to be using ClosingRate values.  Is this best way to do this through an XFBR rule? Help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

What are the different options available to integrate SAP RISE (SAP Cloud) to OneStream? Is there any adapter available? have anyone implemented this integration?

Hi , I used the journal event handler extensibility rule available on the forum in order to segregate the approval and post process. The issue that i am having is that once the user submits the journal or quick posts it the page does not refresh on its own and the user has to manually refresh the page to the see the journal status . Basically it should show the submitted status and approval and reject buttons highlighted but it only shows that after the user manually refreshes. Is there a way we can refresh the page after the message is displayed?  

Hi all, I have created cube view wherein I have used E#Test.Base in Member Filter 1  (Test have 2 children A and B). I need A and B in Member Filter 2 to act as param value in the Dashboard XFBR String. How can I achieve this ? Thanks  

HI All Does anyone know a way to extract a given Hierarchy to Excel broken out by columns for each layer ie a parent in one and children in the other. Using HFM in the past, I recall being able to extract the different hierarchies to Excel but thus far havent found a nice way to do this in OS. Of course I can pull the hierarchies into a cube view and export to exel which does have some visual indentation but its all in one column. Appreciate any ideas! ThanksTahir

We have developed cube view for BS level commentary to avoid the business excel and email conversation on close process.But we need suggestion on threshold setup to commentary column to allow users to input. Ex: If Var% > 10% only users allow to enter commentary else   not.

I've had requests from our finance team about sharing entities from our "Top" cube into another. Our application is in a mature phase now and many of the entities from our top cube will be moving into cubes of their own.  Currently, we only have two options: Option1: Completely clear the entity, delete, and the create in the new cube and reload the data.  Option2: Rename the entity i.e "EntityA_Old" and create a new entity in the new cube with the old name "EntityA" It would be great if there were a better option

If a holiday falls within the duration of a closing period, is there a way to shift the Work Day (WD) due dates of the tasks for that Entity/Work Flow?  For example, we have a Mexican Entity with a WD due date on WD 4.  In May, there was a holiday on WD 1 (May 1st).  In our business, the Mexican Entity's due date to submit financials would be extended to WD 5 because of the holiday.    But since the due date did not fall on the actual holiday, the WorkDay due date in Task Manager still says WD4.    Is there a work around for this other than manipulating the holidays and creating a "dummy holiday" on WD4 so that the due date will extend the extra day to WD5?   

Hello! Any inputs or documentation for configuring the SFTP process with SIC?Recently we have installed the SIC and configured successfully and was able to pull the data. We are facing issues with the SFTP process with SIC, followed the SIC admin guide and configured by creating a new gateway and copied the Gateway info to the OneStream Smart Integration Connector Local GatewayServer Configuration Utility, but the status in OneStream shows as 'offline'.TIA!!

After processing the Cube, suppression options for Cube Views in the Analysis Tab disappear. When opening Cube Views in a month where the Cubes are not processed, the suppression setting is still there. Is there a way to solve this, so the suppression setting is always visible?
