Hi, in the getting started with BI viewer I see they make use of a date field, which enables you to drill down to quarters/months etc. How do you create such a field (I guess I have to something with the time dimension which contains my years and months). I'm struggling with finding an expression that works...
I'm curious to know what others have seen during an external audit. We've been asked to provide change request or service request ticket evidence for any change made to our OneStream production app. This includes metadata, transformation rules, cube views, etc. We're being asked to provide ticket information in addition to screenshot evidence of what was done for any change of any object. Has anyone else seen the same?
Does anyone know if it is possible to combine multiple data extracts into one file in OneStream?We have several DM jobs that we want to extract information about what contributes up to parents. We have found no way to do this in one DM job as the filters needed for each just won’t work for multiple rollup points. So alternatively we thought if we could combine those files it would work. Or perhaps a business rule that could somehow loop through the hierarchy we need and ‘build’ the larger file to save to the file explorer?
I have a Stage Attribute of text type attached to my source records. As expected, this drops off when I push data from Stage to the Cube. When I run a query in the Excel Add-In and do a drill-down back to source at the base level intersections, I can see all dimensional values except the Stage Attribute #1. Is there any way to enable this? Thanks
Hi everyone, Quick question re Dashboards. When you use a parameter in a Cube View there is an option to display the Member Filter using a "Member Dialog" Parameter Type. This shows you the results in a hierarchy that can be expanded or collapsed. When building an interactive dashboard I need to present the user with a large number of members to select from. The Combo Box option isn't particularly easy to browse through as it simply lists the members (albeit this can be indented with a BR to imply the hierarchichal relationships). Is there a way of replicating the Member Dialog Parameter Type in a Dashboard component? Regards,Lee
When I look in GolfStream demo app, we retrieve a OS dashboard on a ppt doc using a dedicated chart component. Is it the only way we can use in order to call an OS DB from a XF doc?

Hi,How do I attach another CV (i.e base scenarios) under a flux analysis report? This is how my flux report looks: I understand their a row/column sharing feature, will that work? If yes, can someone please share how to set it up? Thanks!
Can we add these expansion to a parameter, and have the user select on their own? I was able to build a entity selection parameter, however when I run it, it pulls in everything (branches, regions, district) because I have used "Tree Descendent" expansion. But it would be preferred if I could add a expansion parameter (Children, Base, Tree Des, Member etc) and have it prompt the user to select. This is how my dialog prompt looks. Looking to add that parameter in their. Let me know if this can be done? any example will be appreciated. Thanks
My dept wants the ability to search data across region, district, and branches. I was wondering what would be the best way to build that functionality. Currently, I have build a Select Region Parameter, which has a BR rule running these cases (member filters). And it only shows region level data. This is how our report looks like. (Data is omitted) However, I'm looking add an option to select districts and branches, Maybe the QV can have a button to add additional rows, by clicking "+" and selecting those specific branches from a dialog box. Or maybe a dialog box, which prompts the user to build their own entity member filter. Hope that gives an idea of where I'm heading. Any suggestions or ideas will be appreciated. Thank you!
I am building a cube view with two rows and 12 columns. Assume POV=2021M12: The first row is A#Sales and in the second row I want the variance of the sales from row one this month minus the sales last month. (Think POV minus POVPrior1) In the Column I have one Column with T#POV.AllPriorInYear. The problem is that the formula in my month over month isn't smart enough to populate 12 cells of variances. I know I could do 12 separate columns and use CVC, but that isn't a great option to me for other reasons. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
SOURCE: ONESTREAM CHAMPIONS Hi all! We just upgraded to 6.4 last week and have migrated our data management jobs running via power shell script onto Task Scheduler. A few questions: Do you set these jobs up with a certain person’s user name? Do you know what happens if that user is later disabled? (I’ve submitted a OS support ticket for that last question). If you don’t set them up under a specific person’s user name, how do you set them up? We have an “Administrator” user and “OSAutomation” user that I’m considering using to keep these auto jobs separate from my regular OS activity. Any insight would be appreciated as I’m trying to gauge how other users have set up Task Scheduler while also asking OS support for their best practices. Thanks!-Nicole

We just went live with our IC setup (ie providing the plug account - We had already required a valid partner prior to adding the plug). Works GREAT! The issue/question we have now found ourselves in is that these feature is not time constrained like formula’s or other features. We decided that we needed to split a statistical volume value into two groups and wanted to go back in to a prior year to get year over year comparisons. At this point we realized that once we make any change to an Entity, when we re-consolidate, IC kicks in and hoses up our Financials. Outside of removing all plug accounts, making change, consolidating and adding the plug accounts back, we can’t update our prior period Statistical accounts. Anybody know of a work around or is this going to be fixed in the future similar to how formalus are handled.Clarke
Hi All,We would like to draw up some dynamic QV's from a time perspective & always have them aware of the current time so we can utilize the T#PeriodPrior1() MF rule. I'm curious how others have made these dynamically change, we were considering a BR to update the 'Global Time' on a systematic basis and then we could direct users to use this global time & know that it is always reflective of the current week. Maybe I'm overlooking some function of OS to do this but it seems like there isn't a natural dynamic time option.Thanks,Bryan

Hello, I am working on a CTA plug account and also historical overrides. Right now for the plug and overrides to run I have to force calculate and translate. Is there a way the user would be able to run the consoldiation and the formulas run correctly without having to go through a whole sequence of steps? Basically, is there an easier way to run the translation logic within consolidation? SOURCE: ONESTREAM CHAMPIONS Hi Team, I wish to know few features are possible in the Spreadsheet or not while using the Table View functionality. there are some Enumerated fields stored in the table, say for example 0 or 1 (stored in the table) but I want the user to save it Yes / No in the spreadsheet - not sure how to achieve it? Also to make sure that some other junk value should not get updated here, an Error Message should be popped up if the value is not per standard or some color code change. How to make the cell - color filled for specific header columns - blue or so, indicating read-only cell. How to format the numbers to 2 decimals. Color Code change if the cell is dirty ( the same way it works for cube View ) Referred 1 document from OneStream Table View reference guide, which enabled to help to fetch the data in Spreadsheet using table view… but questions to above queries are not yet clear. SOURCE: ONESTREAM CHAMPIONS Hi Team, we have a situation in which we need to create a new dimension every month, and can obsolete the earlier one for the next period, that works perfect. no Issue here. but since they share the common workflow, in the Entity Filters both the old Dimension and New Dimension are appearing. Expectation here is to get Display on the New dimension in the current period and only the old dimension in the previous filter ( Refer screen shot for more clarity ) Since the filter is based on Entity calculations, not sure what’s the solution to achieve the same. I need some inputs to get the filter dynamically listed based on the Year / Period we choose. Regards Darpan Bhansali

Refer the Code attached here by for reference. can any one help here to find what wrong am i doing in the below code. Also i want to fetch the range selected somewhere in the error log… or the message box… how to achieve that ?
