The background fill color on the header is not filling the entire space when viewed in PDF. You can see on four of the six columns there is white space where the text is shorter. I need the teal color to fill to the bottom of the header space, and not just exist where the text is located. It works fine in excel and cube view. The issue only exists in report PDFs. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish this? Report/PDF: Excel: Cube View: Here's an example of a PDF that looks good because the length of the header text is more comparable across the columns: I'm sure there's a way to accomplish this through a Custom Report Formatting rule or formula. I'm trying to avoid this, as I feel the formatting should already default to what I want. But, if I have to go this route, I will. Thanks in advance!
I am working with a TableView and there seems to be a limit of 100 rows that can be added. Even if I prompt for the number of rows to add , say for example 150, when I add 150 rows in Excel and submit only 100 will actually be inserted. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of rows that will actually be added no matter the value you pass to the NumberOfEmptyRowsToAdd property?
Hi everyone, I would like to round the value for a calculation, I try wit this api.Data.Calculate("A#P_EBPPrct:O#Import:U1#D0000:U2#P0000:U3#CORP_ADJ:U4#PJ00000 = Round(Divide(A#433100, A#411000:E#" & strEntTx3 & ":C#Local:O#Top:U1#ALL_DEPARTMENTS:U2#PROMO:U3#CORP_RPT:U4#ALL_PROJECTS))") or this api.Data.Calculate("A#P_EBPPrct:O#Import:U1#D0000:U2#P0000:U3#CORP_ADJ:U4#PJ00000 = Divide(A#433100, A#411000:E#" & strEntTx3 & ":C#Local:O#Top:U1#ALL_DEPARTMENTS:U2#PROMO:U3#CORP_RPT:U4#ALL_PROJECTS)",AddressOf OnEvalDataBuffer) Private Sub OnEvalDataBuffer(ByVal api As FinanceRulesApi, ByVal evalName As String, ByVal eventArgs As EvalDataBufferEventArgs) Dim resultCells As New Dictionary(Of DataBufferCellPk, DataBufferCell) For Each sourceCell As DataBufferCell In eventArgs.DataBuffer1.DataBufferCells.Values sourceCell.CellAmount = math.round(sourceCell.CellAmount) Next eventArgs.DataBufferResult.DataBufferCells = eventArgs.DataBuffer1.DataB
Hello Everyone,I’m encountering an issue in OneStream when trying to post a journal via central workflow to an entity whose workflow is locked.Normally, central journal input steps are designed to allow journal postings even when the entity’s workflow is locked. In my case, I have configured a central journal input step within the workflow profile of the entity, so I would expect journal entries to still be accepted despite the lock. However, when attempting to post the journal, I receive an error indicating that the entity is locked.Has anyone experienced a similar issue where central journal input steps do not bypass the workflow lock as expected? Are there specific configuration points or workflow setup details that could explain this behavior?
Hello, I currently have a cube where I am having an issue calculating variances. The row has GetDataCell(CVR(Row1)+CVR(Row2)) and Column is has T#POV, T#POVPrior12, GetDatacell(T#Pov-T#POVPrior12). When I run the report, the first two columns run correctly for T#POV and T#POVPriorYear, but the third column where the two get data cells meet does not calculate correctly. I can't get it to work on a column override either as I know there is a order of operation for the GetDataCell. I want to keep the report as dynamic as possible, is there a way this can be achieved without breaking the columns out and manually doing the overrides?
Has anyone imported CAMT.053 files from their bank into OneStream? We are embarking on an Account Reconciliation project and trying to accommodate our international sites. We've been told this is tricky and to stick with the BAI format, but that will be problematic as we integrate more global entities.
Hello,I have a SWIFT Bank file from a client based in Europe that I need to import. I thought this would be similar to a BAI file and could use the OS BAI Parser solution to grab the necessary information, but the format isn't as similar as I thought. Is there any other tool for parsing out a SWIFT file or will this require some custom logic?
My team has recently been unable to save offline copies of Excel files that contain XFGetCells + CubeViews. Prior to this, we had no issues and had saved 100+ files offline as part of quarterly reporting. I have seen prior threads where this has been discussed some time ago, and our team has tried updating preferences, saved elsewhere, etc. with no luck. Is anyone else currently having this issue?
Hi Community :)We are currently in development with regard to loading sub-ledger data into OneStream, but the balance specifications are so granular that we currently have them split into about 10 distinct loads. Because of this setup, our end users are being forced to manually click "Load and Transform" 10+ times to get a complete sub-ledger balance loaded for the period. Obviously, this is tedious, creates a poor user experience, and introduces a lot of room for human error. We want to streamline this. What is best practice to do this?
Does anyone know how to get the member description in the user's culture code?
We are trying to update a table in External DB using SQL table editor. But we are getting below error.
Hi, I am encountering an issue with the header format of the 'Total' row below where the ReportBackgroundColor is not filling the entire cell when viewing the report as a PDF. There is no issue when viewing view the cube view or Excel. Below is the header formatting we're suing: ELSE IF (RowName Contains ':Total:') THEN ExcelBottomBorderColor = Black, ExcelTopBorderColor = Black, ExcelTopBorderLineStyle = Thin, Italic = True, ReportBackgroundColor = Gray, ReportUseBottomLine1 = True, ReportUseTopLine1 = True I'm using the same formatting for Header and Cell Format but as you can see from the screenshot below, there is a blank space below Total. Has anyone encountered this?
As shocking as it may seem, someone has decided that we actually should delete data from OneStream. In this case, we've been instructed to retain a maximum of five years of data. Everything older than that must be expunged. Manual, painful, detailed steps aside: is there a good way to clear all old data that I just have never learned about because I have never actually worked with an org who was willing to let go of even one byte of information? I can manually delete the cube data with enough work (clear rules, consols, the odd custom rule or update to a member formula.) I can delete stage source data with even less work, though its still a bit tedious to click through a bunch of workflows. I haven't yet looked into how to delete stage target data; I'm hoping to find an easy solution but I'm also hoping someone will just tell me so I don't have to learn the hard way. What other data have I not even thought of yet? How do I get rid of it? Going forward, after we finish our yea
Hi all,I'm having a strange problem with cubeviews. I created some parameters to apply a standard formatting to my cube views:when I use them into the cubeview and I launch it, though, they appear in the initial popup without any value, as if they were user input params:am I missing something? is there anything I need to configure to make them work automatically?Any help is appreciated!
Does anyone know how Used (GB) and Unused is derived? Maybe I'm wrong, going to assume it's looking at total_size, total_used, reserved_pages, ect.. Trying to figure out the math, and questioning if it's correct. This is what I have so far, any feedback is appreciated! Dim sql As String = "SELECT " & " DB_NAME() AS DatabaseName, " & " CAST(f.total_size * 8.0 / 1048576 AS DECIMAL(10,2)) AS TotalSizeGB, " & " CAST(f.total_used * 8.0 / 1048576 AS DECIMAL(10,2)) &nb
Hi all, I have an XFBR that I would like to take the entity member in any given row in a cube view. I've tried |MFEntity| but that doesn't work. |CVEntity| and |POVEntity| don't work either since they can only pass a single entity for a given cube view. Is there a way to get what I need outside of manually doing a column override for every single row in my cube view and hard coding the entity that I need to pass to the XFBR?
Hi All,I'm working with Line Item Modelling to implement workforce solution and trying Lookup drivers for one of the calculations. Lookup drivers doesn't seem to work at all. Has anyone tried and whether its working? The lookup driver that i defined doesn't fetch & return anything while using in calculation (formula) though it returns data while i preview it under Lookup drivers. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Cheers - Ramesh.
Hi, I've had a dig around, but I can't seem to find it. Anyone know where I can see the disk space utilisation? We've set up a number of new apps in our environment recently, and I'm concerned we might be running out of space.
Hi guys!I would like to know if there is a way to get a more detailed view of what is consuming disk space for each application within my environment.I understand that the System Diagnostics dashboard provides a report indicating how much space is allocated and how much is being used per application; however, I would like to know if there is a way to obtain a more detailed breakdown per application. Thanks!
Hi all, I'm building a cube view which includes pre-filled columns including 12 months for CY budget, PY actuals and columns for YTD actuals. Additionally, I have included all future months in the year to be for the Forecast scenario for users to input.I have embedded this cube view into a spreadsheet form, so that users can either directly enter their forecast numbers into the spreadsheet in OS app, or it can be opened in Excel for users to complete outside the system. When I open the file in Excel, the CV correctly works and refreshes, and submission correctly writes the cells back to Onestream when FCT1 numbers are entered. However, I am stuck on one thing - is there a way to update the Cube View form cells by referencing other cells in another spreadsheet, or in the workbook? I can link 1 cell individually, but once I reference the cell, it automatically converts to a number and I cannot autofill any formula link to the remaining cells. Most users will either be wanting t
Hi all,I've found a different behavior between 8 and 9 releases of OneStream, related to the "Change Workflow" POV Action on a ComboBox component. In a Dashboard I have 2 combo boxes with the ebove mentioned Action:Select Scenario => Set WFScenarioSelect Time => Set WFTimeIn rel 8, when I select values in the combo, things works as expected: the WF variables changes and I DON'T exit from my dashboard. In rel 9 (9.2.0.18004), whenever I change one of the combos, the current dashboard lose the focus and I get redirected to the Workflow page. Why this behavior has changed ? Is there any workaround ? TIAFabioG
We recently upgraded from V7.4 to V9.1 and we’re seeing an issue with the Excel Add-In. A small group of users (about five) are unable to use the Drilldown feature (the option is completely greyed out), while the rest of our users can access it without any issues. All users have been upgraded to the 9.1 Excel Add-In and every other function appears to be working correctly. Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas on how to fix it?
Hi everyone,Quick View new user here, and for some reason I cannot create a new Quick View in a different Excel workbook. Is there a setting or feature I need to have active? I have an active Quick View in another workbook, and want to create a different one in a new book. I am logged in, and I click the icon, but receive this message: Unable to create Excel Named Range 'QuickView_QuickView1' using '=[workbook name]$B$2'Any insight is appreciated and thank you in advance!
Hi Team, I’m looking for guidance on the best approach to clear data in OneStream. My requirement is twofold: Clear all data from the Stage areaFor a selected set of entities, clear both Stage and Cube data I’m particularly interested in understanding the most efficient and recommended way to handle this, while ensuring data integrity and minimizing any unintended impact. Specifically, I would appreciate insights on: Recommended methods to clear Stage data globally (e.g., via Data Management steps, Business Rules, or utilities)The best approach to selectively clear Cube data for specific entitiesAny considerations around workflow locks, data unit locking, or audit/history implicationsPerformance best practices and recommended sequence of operations If anyone has implemented a similar requirement, I’d love to hear your approach or any lessons learned. Thanks in advance for your help!
The XFGetCell function has 20 arguments, when you have a large sheet (e.g. for data validation) there can be many of these functions increasing the size of the excel file. In SmartView it was possible to create 1 cell with commonly used arguments and reference that cell at once. In OneStream i'm not able to do so. Off course i cannot imagine that SmartView has a feature that OneStream doesn't so i probably need to change my syntax a bit. Hope you guys can help. So instead of: =XFGetCell(TRUE, "Finance",$A274, "",F$4,F$14,F$5,F$2,$C274,$D274,F$3,$B274,F$6,F$7,F$8,F$9,F$10,F$11,F$12,F$13) I want to create a cell (lets say A1) that has the content: TRUE, "Finance",$A274, "",F$4,F$14,F$5,F$2,$C274,$D274,F$3,$B274,F$6,F$7,F$8,F$9, So my formula would look like: XFGetCell($A$1, F$10,F$11,F$12,F$13) Unfortunately the function put double quotes around the cell so i get the whole string as my DisplayNoDataAsZero parameter and the next few down, missing many parameters (see picture be
