Hey everyone -  How do I clear data from these workflow manual imports automatically?Right now, I've been going through each month one by one. Wondering if there is a BR that can run them all together and clear up data from those specific imports and time dimension. Here are the steps I want to follow: Navigate to import that needs to be cleared > Clear > Re-Transform > Validate > Load Cube    

Please let me know what you have done to pass a dashboard parameter to a data unit filter e.g. Entity on a Data Management step.   For example, if we have a dashboard parameter |!Selected_Entity!| which stores the entity member selected on the dashboard, using it on the Entity Filter in Data Management (E#|!Selected_Entity!| only works if the dashboard parameter type is a Literal Value with a Default Value set. The default value can then be changed with a business rule with the SetLiteralParameterValue function (this is also the setup in GolfStream).   The problem with a literal value parameter type is: where user A selects the entity on the dashboard, but before user A kicks off the DM step from the dashboard via e.g. a button, if user B changes his/her entity selection, the default is changed for everyone, so user A will kick off the step for user B's entity.   Trying an XFBR rule to set the default value of a Literal Value Type - it seems

I would like to know from fellow OneStreamers how you’ve done your monthly and quartely forecasting process. I’m not necessarily looking for a solution. Just ideas on how this can be done.i need to seed the forecast from actual and budget and then be able to visualize them through the workflow and be able to adjust budget data through load of file. how can i link the BR of copy with the workflow and to adjust the data , is it possible to override the data copied by loading a file ? i thought about adding a workspace for the BR of copy than import on the workflow name but i am wondering if there is better solution (best practice) for the forecast process.

Is it possible to use MTD & YTD in View filter for a Data Management job.It does not work if I use -  V#MTD, Y#YTD, but this format seems to work for other filters like for time if I sue T#2021,T#2022 there are no issues. But only for View filter using multiple filter seems not to work.Do anyone know of any workaround to resolve this?  thanks Kumar

Hi all,I have a 'working' DrillBack script which connects happily to my SAP ByDesign system. However, I want to extend it's flexibility and get it to DrillBack to the active WF year and period which is not necessarily the current WF. I would like ask about culture settings and how it influence casting from text value to decimal number. We have an automated import from external system using delimited files and pre-stage table in application database. From the file the data is loaded as a string and from the string it is translated to the decimal value in connector. We use the query here (see that there is explicitlely specified a culture to be used for a casting): selectIFRS_account, ledger_id, currency, pairing_code, ICS_code, Partner_description, PARSE (local_ccy_amount as decimal(26,5) using 'en-US') as local_ccy_amount, PARSE (transaction_ccy_amount as decimal(26,5) using 'en-US') as transaction_ccy_amountfrom [dbo].[MyExternalTable]where importGUID = '{import_GUID}'and _tbValid = 'Y'and coalesce(ICS_code, '') = '' During the testing we found that culture settings for user have an influence on the results. Hi all,In our use case, users are uploading data through files into OneStream. Is there a possibility to check if the file have 1000-seperators in the file and block the upload if this is the case? Reason is that within one workflow the 1000 seperators could differ between users and we want to avoid issues in this instance. Ideally we have a parser rule that checks the amount column.With kind regards,Tim Vierhout

Hello! How do you manage recurring journal entries? We go through a manual process where we pull the JE data out of OS, manipulate the information into a text file and load the text file to create whatever JEs are needed the next period but it's not an easy or straightforward process. Hello,I am creating a cube view to be used in a Dashboard on an Workflow in order for a client to enter Quarterly Commentary.I am having two issues.1. When I set the time on the Explanation Workflow(Annotation) column to a Quarter, I receive green cells and cannot enter a comment. When I switch it to the quarter month, I have white cells and can enter a comment. I just want to confirm that this is normal functionality and that we cannot write comments to the quarter.2. The second issue is that I would like to write the comment to the BeforeAdj Origin member. I am able to do this when I have the Explanation (Annotation) column looking to one of my Forecast scenarios. When I switch the column to look at the Actual scenario (which is the scenario I want to be looking at) the cells turn green. In this case, they only turn white if I switch the Origin member to Import. I must have a setting somewhere that needs to be adjusted but I am having trouble locating it. Happy Holidays/ Black Friday,Is there a way to lock downstream steps in a workflow, unless the first step in workflow is completed?As we all know, a workflow shows all the steps. For example, our first step is to load data. Our 2nd step will allow users to make manual entries. We don't want users to jump to 2nd step without passing / getting a green light on first step.It seems like a common request.Thanks in advance.

Hello, community! I'm not sure what the real difference between validate vs retransform would be. Look at my example: On purpose, I changed the IC to false, and I ran the retransform. In the monthly close process, we have a number of forms. All workflows have the same Form templates profile. Cubeviews refer to |WFtext1|. On wftext1 is Entity name (one entity per workflow).I have one form that is only applicable to a selection of entities.Is it possible (and how) to parameterise this, so the form will only be visible in a selection of workflows (I do not want to create  different Forms Template Profile for theses workflows)?

Hi I am getting some large numbers out of my confirmation rules and I am looking for ways to format the output so it is easier to read. Preferably commas between the thousands, millions, billions... etc but would also like to know what other formatting options are available as well.   Currently my output is the below and I am trying to make the 'math.Round(Acc1,2)' part easier to read.   Does anyone know of a resource that lists the different formatting options?  Or just how to add the comma seperators?   Thanks Simon

For those of us that are software developers, we are accustomed to this message. "The underlying connection was closed: A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server. This issue occurred after 68 seconds." When this issue comes up, it is normally because of some event that breaks TCP connectivity.  Occasionally this happens because of network misconfiguration, or load-balancer misconfiguration.   This is one of two errors we are seeing after migrating our REST api workloads to onestream's Azure environment.  It happens fairly frequently, albeit in an unpredictable way.  I haven't found a pattern yet.  It doesn't happen on-premise.   If anyone has experience deploying a REST api solution to Azure, please let me know if this is an error message you encounter frequently.  It may not even be a problem with onestream's software; perhaps the root cause is with the Azure load-balancer.  I am also looking into other possible ex
