How can I print DataManagement Sequence name? I have Consolidation email BR but within that email I want to print which Sequence consolidation is running for?    Saurin

I have an input sheet in which data can be entered for an override of another number.  The Cell Status "Is Real Data" flag is used in a rule.  If an override is entered in the early part of the monthly year but not later parts a derived amount of 0 is shown and it's "Is Real Data" flag is false.  My problem is when I use the Data Management step Copy Data to copy to a new scenario.  The 0 cells after the initial user input are now "Is Real Data" = True and "Is Derived Data" = False.  My rule now treats these 0s as if they were entered by user and so doesn't work.  This seems very wrong to me that the Copy Data step can't get the details of the Cell Status right.   Can someone explain what to do here to preserve the cell status after a copy?  Thanks.

Hi everyone. I have this error when trying to insert data into my SQL table 'System.OutOfMemoryException'. This occurs when I use .base to retrieve all my departments. The following is how I enter the values of a table into SQL using a loop, so I would like to know what I can do to avoid that error when I want to add many values to that table. I'm trying to create a Dashboard parameter that has the OS Version number of the application. I would have thought that something likeDim osVersion As String = OneStream.Shared.Common.GeneralStrings.OSVersionwould return the value, but this simply returns the string "OS Version". Can someone please point me to the correct function or member to get the application version number?

Hi,I have a Custom Calc rule called by a data management step and I am experiencing a weird behaviour. I know there is data in Actual 2023M6, and I can get that data when running the data management step from either Actual 2023M12 or MF7 (name of another scenario) 2023M6, changing the GetDataBufferUsingFormula appropriately, but not from MF7 2023M12. I'll post the details below. 

Dear community. I have a use case where I need to sul up data from 2 different entities and apply a ratio on it. For this, I would like to use a data buffer. However, the data buffer typically only run on a data unit hence 1 entity at a time. So I created a data management job dat would run on these 2 entites, and I wanted to use a Globals object along with this data buffer so that I could store data from these 2 entities into a single data buffer. However, I'm not sure if it's the right way to do it ? Is there a way for a data buffer to take data from 2 entities ? Or, if I use a globals object with a data management sequence, is the Globals object persisting when running on 2 different entities ? Many thanks for your anticipated feedbacks ! Regards,

When i tried copying the data from one cube to another cube using Eval function with Buffer [Calculate(formula, onEvalDataBuffer, userState)], the data got copied at the base level but as soon as i consolidated it, the data got cleared from the same destination intersections.On checking the cell status of the destination cell (intersection), i found that the storage type is Calculation Whereas, if we use api.Data.Calculate(formula, isDurableCalculatedData), the storage type is DurableCalculation, and consolidation works fine after using this Calculate function.We do we have a boolean parameter to set the DurableCalc as True or False in the api.Data.Calculate(formula, isDurableCalculatedData) function, but i didn't see any such parameter or setting for Buffers [Calculate(formula, onEvalDataBuffer, userState)].How can i make the StorageType as Calculation to DurableCalculation for Buffers, so that the values doesn't disappear after consolidation ?   

Hi All,I am trying to extract data from cube view using FdxExecuteCubeView function and load the result back to cube through a connector. However, when I execute the workflow dataload, a "No valid DataKeys (Scenario / Time)" error occurred. I checked the log, it pointed out to be "Non-Numeric Amount ..................... 4" error On the log, I am able to see the data I extracted as this :4: Cube1, 568123, , Local, Budget, 2023, Periodic, 702151, None, BeforeAdj, None, 500100, None, None, None, None, None, None, None, 959.799999996It seems that the data was pulled right, but just the amount cannot be recognized as numeric dataOn Data Source, I did map "Amount" to the "Amount" column. I am not sure why 959.799999996 is not considered as an amount? We are currently using something like this to pull in the Global Time on the email we send out after the automationDim gTime As String = BRApi.Workflow.General.GetGlobalTime(si) This works just fine, however we would like to also have the option to load by wf which works we just cant get the wf time to show up on the email. I cant find the syntax like I did Global TimeThoughts? Thanks!

However, if a user attempts to run it again, there should be a designated wait time before the next execution.For instance, if I initiate the business rule at 16:00, it should not be possible to trigger it again until 19:00, ensuring a 3-hour interval.To implement this, I intend to leverage the Task Activity Log Start Time. Hi All,  For a client i've created a SQL script that generates a datatable that i want to save to a .csv file. This works as expected via        BRApi.Utilities.SaveFileBytesToUserTempFolder(si, si.UserName, sFileName, fileBytes)       From this location i can present the file to the user from the dashboard button that is generating the export. However, this file is big and the user settings (of some users) change the number formatting of the export. Therefore i want to export the file directly to the shared folder (which is easy for the user to access from the front end:   I've tried all options within brapi.FileSystem but cannot find the proper syntax to save this file directly. The 'issue' is currently solved by storing this file in the user temp folder, then copying it over to the shared folder (via another article on this forum) but that touches the file twice so preferably i want to save the file directly from the fileBytes (that is a

Hello,Is there an event handler or dashboard extender rule that could be used to stop a user from completing a workspace if certain steps are not completed first? I have a workspace that needs to be completed, but only after the import, journals and certain forms are completed first. We don't want to lock the workspace, rather when they go click the "Complete Workspace" button it gives an error message that they need to finish the other steps first. Thank you!

I have application which has 47 entities and users who have Entity wise rights to upload TB/Reclass and Cube views. So far Admin is downloading TB  manually (using view source document) by going through Entity.  Now I want to download TB and Reclass files through some business rules (if possible to be schedule to run once in Month) or some procedure for all entities using user who has administrative privilege.   Thanks all in advance for your help. I am trying to get the Text1 field value using a Business Rule and put this value in a cube view that is being used as Form. Does anyone have done this before? Is it possible to get the Text1 value from the Workflow Profile using BRApi? Thanks for the help.  

Is there a setting on the component or even a business rule that allows you to uncheck/unselect/reset a combo box to its original state? I would like it to reset and check the top member or a default member. I don't want all parameters on my dashboard reset just a specific combo box with the click of a button.

Hi,I have created a dashboard extender business rule that picks some CSV files from a server, save them in the File Share, extract some info from the file, then delete them.The issue I am having is to find the right folder to use to import and then delete the files.I initially used the Administrators folder in the File Share/Applications/Groups folder, but that folder is not visible to the not in the Administrators group, so the rule works fine for me but not for other users.Then I have tried using the Incoming folder, which let me import the files, but does not let me delete the files.Each folder in the File Share seems to have a different set of security properties, but that is not shown in the File Explorer. What is the purpose of each of the folders in the File Share (is each of them supposed to be used for a specific task?) and which one is better to use for my scope?Thank you
