Hi Everyone! I am adding a CV to an extensible document via an image, but OS cuts the CV and does not show it entirely no matter how small I make it. Anyone knows how to solve this?Thank!!
Currently I get the following error when trying to make a data source from an Excel sheet: As I have tried to narrow the information down due to endless error messages the file looks like this My question is: Where do I find a description of how to set up a data adapter in Genesis to an Excel sheet.
I'm trying to create a drill down in a BI Viewer dashboard using only a data set return. I can add a column (in this case "category") to both the Dimensions and Measures area. I then enable the drill down under Data > Drill Down, however, once the drill down is active, the Category column is hidden on the output and won't show until you drill into a row. I want to ability to drill into a row, but a user needs to see the Category column first before drilling. Is there a way for me to drill into a dataset without using "hidden" dimensions and measures for a column? Also - what is the difference between "Dimension" and "Measure"? Thanks!
Below is the screenshot from the genesis guide. I cannot find this link in Genesis collection in solution exchange.Does this means I need to download/upload each type of content block ONE BY ONE?
This one is for all you Encyclopedia Brown fans out there. Like many companies, we have a cash flow cube view. We've recently added two balance sheet accounts to one of the lines in it, but the values in those accounts do not show up. Here is the code for the member formula for the Debt Payments cash flow line: If (Not api.Entity.HasChildren()) Then api.data.calculate("A#CF_DebtPymts:F#CF_ACTIVITY:I#None:O#Import = A#DebtCur:F#RF_Debt_ACTIVITY:I#Top:O#Top + A#Debt_LT:F#RF_Debt_ACTIVITY:I#Top:O#Top + A#Cur_equip_fin_liabs:F#RF_Debt_ACTIVITY:I#Top:O#Top + A#LT_equip_fin_liabs:F#RF_Debt_ACTIVITY:I#Top:O#Top") End If The last two accounts, Cur_equip_fin_liabs and LT_equip_fin_liabs are not pulling into the value for Debt Payments even though I've proven via a QuickView that the
Hi, I am trying to create a genesis dashboard that will have a main cv (1105) which shows overview and then when user click on the cell, it will filter another cv (1106) (probably cv basic since it will have navlinks on most dimensions). In client dashboard, it requires the config of setting of user actions in 1105 cv component but I could not find this setting in content block CV Advanced. I can find it in CV adv embedded. I assume this is the correct content block to use.I managed to get this function to work when 1105 and 1106 are on different pages. This means the cv are both setup correctly with navigation links dynamically set up correct. But they cannot be in different pages in Genesis because that means user need to click on cell in 1105 in page 1 and then go to page 2 to see filter results in 1106. That is too much work for user. ,Thus, I created a dashboard advanced layout and try to insert cv advanced embedded of 1105 in row 1 and then cv b
Hi What to do when I get this error messages in Genesis: Unable to open dashboard 'OpenPlace_(Designer)'. Error processing DataSet 'GetWFSteps'. Error executing Workspace Assembly Service class 'Workspace.Gen.CubeViewCharts_x2x.MUAssemblyFactory'.Value cannot be null. (Parameter 'reader'). How to reset? The problem happens when working with Block: Cube View Charts. It will not read my cube view and give the following comment: Value cannot be null. An error messages that is difficult to work with, as it does not say where the problem is. But this second, as I cannot get into the genesis instance.
Below is a screenshot of how the genesis dashboard look like when it is used inside the client. The report on the left is the source cv and report on the right is the drill down details when a cell is clicked on the left. You can see that there is no taskbar for excel download etc in the left report, even though I have set cv default header to be visible. Both the left and right reports, I am using cv advanced embedded, but the left one is the one with user action "refresh" with click.I used the source cv of the left report as content cv with comments in another page and there is taskbar for excel download. The only difference between the two of them is content block type and user action.I checked the user guide for cv with advanced embedded, there is nothing written that when user action is selected, the taskbar for excel download etc will be gone within client. How do I get the taskbar for excel etc to appear when using genesis within the client?
I have a requirement to allow users to enter an Annual Plan and spread it across Plan Periods using the spread method they select. Spread Methods are Equal Spread, 4-4-5 Weekly Spread and Manual. When they select "Manual" the cube view should dynamically pick O#Forms as Origin member for Data Entry.I have the Account and Product in rows with member expansion (.Base). Is there a way to retrieve the Base Account and Product from Cube view dynamically and reference in an XFBR?My plan is to get the Spread method chosen for the Base Account and Product combination and Return the Origin as O# Forms for that row? Please share any other ideas if you may have implemented for the same requirement?
Hello everyone, I am currently working on OneStream v9.2 and trying to set up Ad Hoc reporting in the Web version (OnePlace).Context:I created a Dashboard with a Spreadsheet component exposed in Web (under OnePlace Dashboard). The connection to existing, preconfigured Cube Views is working correctly.Issue:In the Browser version, I do not have access to Quick View / dynamic POV features like in the Spreadsheet WinApp (Excel Add-in).I cannot find the option to perform free-form Ad Hoc analysis (changing axes, selecting members dynamically, etc.).Question:Is this a standard limitation of the Web version (OnePlace) in v9.2?Is there a specific configuration that enables a Quick View–like behavior in Web?Thank you in advance for your feedback and experience.
Hi, I have a cube view with a straightforward requirement. Below is an example of my requirements using the Golfstream app. My rows are set as follows: Member filter 1: U2#Clubs.ChildrenInclusive:name(UD2: |MFUD2Desc|) Member filter 2: T#2011Q1.ChildrenInclusive:name(Time: |MFTime|, UD2: |MFUD2Desc| The below screenshot shows what this returns. The issue is that I need to reference the member filter 1 member from member filter 2. When I use |MFUD2| from member filter 2, it reverts to my top UD2 member rather than reading my UD2 member from member filter 1. I need this to do a more complicated loop through members, and that loop must take the row's UD2 member into account. Any advice or workarounds? User-created parameters and |CVUD2| do not return what I need.
I cannot find any setting for moveable splits in dashboard layout or advanced dashboard layout. Is it not possible in Genesis? Does it means I should just create the dashboard in the client first and then link it into Genesis?
I am here with one of my typical requests to see if anyone has (SQL query) code I can borrow 🙂 We had an issue with two users who discovered how to submit data through Excel and circumvent the workflow forms. As a result they are inputting data to intersections where we do not want forecast data. I would like to have a dashboard I can run where I can select a specific scenario and it will return a list of intersections that were modified through an Excel submit. Or just a list of users and then I can run the ONC application report User Data Entry Detail to get the details of the intersections. I know the data lives in a table somewhere but I am not sure the table name and the fields to filter on and return. In the ONC User Data Entry Detail report I am able to select a scenario, WF time and user name and can see data they changed via forms and data that was changed via Excel. But, there is no option to see all Excel edits for all users and I am trying to catch the ru
I've been working on getting up to speed with the various Genesis content blocks and am having trouble with the Cube View With Drill block. When I try to select a cube view, the tree view only goes down to the Cube View Group level, not the Cube View level. I was able to tweak a business rule to allow it to select a specific cube view, but then the drill doesn't appear to work when I select a cell to see the details. I'm certain there is data that can be drilled down to, but nothing changes when I click various cells. I've even tried setting the cube view to show a base-level intersection and confirmed that I can see a number that is the same in stage. Anyone seen this issue yet or have any troubleshooting tips?
I have created a cv with comments for comments input and review. The comments are saved and viewed with success but I am missing the red flag on the cell where there is comment in the cells. See below. According to feature video for cv with comment, there should be a red flag see below screenshot: What could be the reason it is missing?
Hi everyone,I have two attribute dimensions in my model that I use to filter Cost Centers by Region and Line of Business. The issue is that when I try to drill down on those cells to reach the Stage data using “Load Results for Imported Cells”, I’m not able to get to the maximum level of detail.I assume this happens because the system is filtering by attribute members, which do not exist in the Stage tables.Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution/workaround for this? Thanks in advance!
In the basic dashboard courses, there are documentation suggesting the recommended naming conventions for the workspaces, maintenance unit and the respectives sub folders. But in Genesis, I cannot find any. I wish to get some idea for it for better structure and administering before starting using Genesis in our application.
Hi - Is there a consolidated list of available arguments that can be used when pulling a cube view in an extensible doc? This is the default value/example when inserting: "{XF}{Application}{CubeViewReport}{MyCubeView}" "Argument1" "Argument2"A populated example would be: "{XF}{Application}{CubeViewReport}{CubeViewName}" “IncludeReportMargins=False” “IncludeReportHeader=False” “IncludeReportFooter=False” “IncludePageHeader=True” “IncludePageFooter=True”Just trying to figure out if these are the only ones or if there are others since I'm having some trouble with getting it to display the way I wanted. Thanks!

Is there a way to default the format in a text box where rich text is allowed to something other than Calibri? it remembers the state of the component when I open a dashboard change it, save, and close the component but when I create new items from the dashboard the new items that get always default to Calibri.
I have a source cube view that has a column for actuals, budget, and then actuals versus budget. Actuals versus Budget is just a simple GetDataCell(CVC(Co1) - CVC(Col2)). However, there's a need from our business partners to be able to drill down into the variance for Entity.Base (source cube view is just Entity). My original attempt (Attempt #1) was to create a DynamicCalc UD8 to take S#Actuals - S#Budget but we have a handful of custom Accounts (A#) that aren't playing well with this approach. However, for the accounts that do work the drilldown is working perfectly. My next attempt (Attempt #2) was to create a non-DynamicCalc UD8 (TestUD8) and keep the GetDataCell column on the source cube view but tagged :U8#TestUD8. The problem I'm running into with this method is that the TestUD8 isn't getting passed to the linked cube view? And I don't know why? I have Attempt #1 and Attempt #2 side-by-side on the same cube view and Attempt #1 will pass the cus
Hello, We are looking to create a form tracker that provides a global overview of the progress across all our entities, do you know if this is possible ?Headers = All our entitiesRows = all of our formsData = Text to see if the form is complete Thank you in advance for your help,Regards,Antoine
Hello, We need an RCM report to tie recon balances back to OneStream for audit purposes. Has anyone created or knows how to build a report showing balances for child recs (without the balance for the associated recon) and balances for recons that have no child recs? The rcm database tables aren't very intuitive and a little guidance would be a huge help! Thanks!
Hi Everyone!, I have been unable to set margins in a cubeview in a extensible document. Even though, the report margins in the cubeview settings are set and the argument IncludeReportMargins is set to true as can be seen in the attached images. But no margins are shown. Thanks for you help.
Good day to you. Currently, we are working on a Dashboard for User Access. We have successfully implemented the logic to retrieve Security Group Unique IDs along with their corresponding Security Group details. As part of this dashboard, we now need to retrieve Workflow Profile–level details, specifically: Entity assigned to the Workflow Profile Access Group Maintenance Group Workflow Execution Group Certification / Signoff Group So far, we have been able to retrieve details for points (1), (2), and (3). However, we are unable to fetch the Workflow Execution Group and Certification / Signoff Group details using either Business Rules or SQL queries. Could you please help us by suggesting: The appropriate Business Rule method/API, or A supported SQL approach, to retrieve these remaining Workflow Profile security details? Your guidance on the recommended approach would be greatly appreciated.
