Reporting

Hi All, As you can see, Oct,Nov,Dec are preceding after Jan 2021. This is being repeated at many several points.  I'm wondering if anyone had a similar issue.    I'm using a CV MD data adapter. Here is my CV period headers

I am stopping users from running forced calculate/translate/consolidate with the following in "WcfEventHandler".  If args.IsBeforeEvent AndAlso (args.WcfServiceType = WcfServiceType.Calculate) AndAlso (args.OperationName="CalculateChartLogic" OrElse args.OperationName= "StartConsolidation" OrElse args.OperationName= "StartProcessCube" OrElse args.OperationName= "Translate" ) Then Dim isForced As Boolean = args.inputs(2) If isForced = "True" Then args.Cancel = True Throw New XFException(si, New Exception("You do not have access to Force Calculate/Translate/Consolidate.")) End If End If How do I stop users from running these functions in a report in excel?

Hi All Is there a way to set default date to Now() in the Date Selector component of the Dashboard? Thanks,

Hello, I have created a Workspace with is Shareable Workspace set to True (workspace 1). From another workspace/ cubeview group/ cubeview I would like use the row from a cube view in workspace 1. Hi Team, Can any one help on this. I have text in the cells, so based on my text have to apply the conditional formatting. if my cell has "YES" text then should be Green color, if my cell has "NO" text then should be in RED color.  Can any one please help us to get the result.

I have a UD8 dynamic calculation that returns different results based on the UD2 member value. E.g. If UD2 = Houston, return "A#:Total_Expenses:S#Plan...." This works well using api.pov.UD2.Name for normal member intersections, but it's not applying correctly for GetDataCell calculations. By using the Cell POV button on the cube view, I can see that the GetDataCell rows have a POV set to the cube view POV. How can I have my Dynamic Calc read the UD2 value inside the GetDataCell? There is only one UD2 member referenced inside the GetDataCell. The GetDataCell format is as follows: GetDataCell(A#Total_Expenses:S#Actual:U2#Texas - A#Operating_Expenses:S#Actual:U2#Texas):name(Net Texas)

Hello All, I have a case where I need to show workflow assigned entities into dashboard using Data Adapter method query. For example: Base Input WF Entity assignment Workflow1 Site1, site2 Workflow2 Site3 Workflow3 Site4, Site5, Site6 So, whenever I am selecting workflow1, the entities assigned to this workflow should list and come as output. Kindly help to advise some options here. Thank you.

We use the REST api to retrieve balances from our accounting consolidations in onestream.   I've noticed that for the current year, these account balances can be retrieved quickly. But for prior years, it takes a lot longer to retrieve them.  For example, I can run cubeviews against the 2024 data and get ten branches in about 80 seconds.  But if I run the exact same cubeviews against 2023 or 2022, then it gets increasingly slower (160 seconds for the same ten branches in 2022). Is there some reason on principal why the balance data would take so much longer to retrieve in past fiscal years?  Is the cubeview doing some sort of dynamic calculation to retrieve balances?  (maybe it is incrementally subtracting activity from balances in 2024, and that dynamic calculation takes longer as we report further back in time)? We are running OS 8.2.2.16127. The difference in execution time seems specific to G/L balances.  For G/L activity (the movement of the acco

How can I change my dates(month, year) in my reports based on cube views. I want to modify directly on the reports. Could someone please help me with that? Or how to create to POV bar (screenshots in where is located)

Hi I'm currently reviewing the functionality of the Narrative Reporting and need some guidance with it. Per the option to insert content within a document, I have managed to get a Cube View to be active within the doc but cannot get a report component to generate?  I also managed to get the XFCell reference to work. The following is what I have used for a CV generation, which works fine: However, the actual syntax provided does not match what actually needs to be applied for it to work in the doc (i.e. see below provided syntax): Is there a list of what full syntax should be used for each of the categories listed in the Insert Content option? I've tried to use the same as the CV generation for a Report Component but that doesn't appear to work (as follows): {DOCVARIABLE "{XF}{Application}{Report}{rpt_FSR_BS_8_8_1}" "" ""}   Any help with this would be much appreciated?   Thanks

Hello, A client recently asked if it’s possible to create an 'exception cube view' based on an existing main one. The main cube view includes both positive and negative amounts across rows and columns. The client specifically wants the exception report to display only the negative values. To address this, I created a UD8 dynamic calc member that returns the U8#None value if it's negative and returns nothing if U8#None is positive. I then applied this new UD8 member to a copy of the main cube view, ensuring suppression is enabled. While this works well for smaller reports, the performance suffers with larger reports due to the nature of dynamic calculations. I also applied the classic formatting where positive amounts are transparent but it leaves the report with a lot of rows and columns that have the text transparent. Any other ideas on how this can be achieved?

Hi everyone, We have a cube view with three rows structured as follows: Row1: E#Parent1.Children:U1#Member1 Row2: E#Parent1.Children:U1#Member2 Row3: Variance between two columns. To handle this, I created an XFBR that dynamically generates a string based on the number of children for the user-selected parent (Parent1 as a parameter). The generated string will look something like this: GetDataCell(CVR(Row1,1) - CVR(Row2,1)), GetDataCell(CVR(Row1,2) - CVR(Row2,2)), and so on. We have three columns in the same cube view: two data columns and one text column. The text column uses the U8 member as a dynamic calc member, which returns a string. In the variance row for the text column, I'm getting a blank instead of a string. I’ve tried different row override methods using XFBR and XFCell, but haven’t had any success. I suspect that GetDataCell might be causing the issue, but I wanted to ask for some guidance. Has anyone encountered this problem, or does anyone have any suggestions? Your inp

Does any know if its possible to create a dashboard label with vertical orientation where the text is rotated 90 degress and the letters from the bottom up?

I have a CV with a row definition A#A111:U1#XYZ:U2#ABC:U3#LMN, A#A111:U1#XYZ:U2#ABC:U3#OPQ Please note U3 is LMN and then OPQ.  This definition is generated by a BR.I am trying to color a row in the CV if the U3 member is say "OPQ".I was able to format the color based on U3(using RowE1MemberName conditional formatting) but had to make U3 the first Row Header by saying "Use Default Row Headers" false and setting U3 as Header1. Want to see if there is some way of saying that without making the U3 as the first row header.  Thanks, JS

Hello, Is there a way to set the default value for the member list . I created a parameter and wrote a XFBR string set this parameter as the default to the other parameter that is the bound value on the cbx and it did not work.   Any suggestions?

Does anyone know what this error message means when trying to create an Extensible Word document? How do you create a document in Task Manager?

Hi there, I'm trying to clean up the column headers on my cube view so that it leaves the view blank.  I have achieved this by adding the view to the member filter and using adding the following text:Name( ). I needed to use the view member filter since I've adding a trailing 3-month average column, otherwise the view member is determined by a dashboard parameter.   This works fine except for the column where I've needed to use the second member filter to designate the scenario such as the forecast column.  Does anyone know how I can modify this to so that the view member is blank for all columns?

Hi, I have downloaded the Narrative Reporting solution from Marketplace but 'Mode' dropdown option is not available in the Narrative Reporting Dashboard where it usually should be (I have drawn a blue box). Ss attached Please assist.

We upgraded to 8.2.2 last month and switched our data connector to the SIC connector.  Since upgrading all our drilldown cube views (to stage data) have been loading slow.  Most of them used to load instantaneously.  Now some take 5-15 minutes to load.  Has anyone had this issue?  I have an open ticket with support.   They ran indexing and that helped but just a bit.  Thanks in advance.

How do I concatenate 2 member filters? Something like this:
