I have my task manager set up by Weeks: Therefore, I've been using Frequency ranges as 1-52 or 1,2,3 etc. as from the Task Manager guide. Let's say I want to make only 1 task group start on W1-W3. I input that into the task group and individual tasks but still it doesn't show up. However, if I don't put any frequency range, it shows up for all weeks I publish. I just want it to show up for 1 week. BCA #1 doesn't show up at all in any charts but BCA #2 shows up in all weeks published. I've also set up my Close Dates but it still doesn't work: Any pointers or tips?Thank you
Hello Team, I'm experiencing performance challenges with a CubeView that contains: 4 row dimensions (all using .base members) Multiple time period columns Dynamic calculations that are causing significant retrieval delays Current Challenge: The CubeView needs to be executed and its data exported externally, but the dynamic calculations are making the retrieval process extremely time-consuming. Attempted Solution: I've already tried converting the dynamic calculations to stored values using finance rules, but this approach has proven ineffective - it's still taking excessive time and not producing the desired results. Request: Could you suggest any alternative approaches or optimization strategies to improve the performance of this data retrieval and export process? Thank you for your assistance.
The ColumnDisplayType property has two options: WorkflowStatusImage & OneStreamClientImage. I am looking to leverage one of the two options, but have found minimal documentation on them. What I have found, is that the WorkFlowStatusImage is related to values in a Status column like "2" equals a green circle, "10" equals a red circle. This uses the XFClientImageTypes library. I am not sure how to leverage this library and populate my SQL table/grid view with one of these status images/icons. Any assistance is appreciated. I have the status column value equal to "2" or "10" but I can't get the icon/image to display on my grid view component.
Hi everyone,I'm having an issue with a cube view. I have a column whose parameter is E#GroupEntity.Base. When launched, it shows one base entity per column, with its respective data.I need to place a new column at the end of the cube view that sums the values of all the base entities. I tried to use the CVC function to sum columns, but it only sums the data of first base entity, ignoring all the other base entities. Is there a way to achieve what I need, and if yes, could someone please help me? Thank you!
I am creating an alternate roll-up of our accounts for some specific reporting which requires that certain accounts only return data for specific departments. What is the best way to do this? I tried using a dynamic calculation to create new accounts that filtered on UD2 but it did not return any data. The formula that I used was Return api.Data.GetDataCell ("A#61550:U2#Dept48")
Is there a method or tool that can edit dashboard frames (names) in bulk? I would like to create a base dashboard template that would include headers, content, and footers. This would be copied & pasted to separate maintenance units and then customized for each dashboard. Is there a way to bulk-edit dashboard frames, or assist with copying & pasting dashboards without renaming them one by one? The only way I know of now is extracting to an XML and changing the text through notepad.
I have created an SQL table editor component for one of my applications. One of the columns in the SQL table can be updated by the user, and is tied to a parameter that is used as a dropdown by the users. However, if the user tries to update that column in two rows to the same value only the first row will be saved, but if the two rows are populated with different values from the linked parameter the table is saved just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone discovered a workaround? Thanks, Tom R
Our cube view cash flow reports were built using an account hierarchy and includes parent cash flow accounts to rollup base accounts. The cash flow reports were originally built on a YTD basis. Later the view parameter was changed to also generate cash flow reports on a QTD or MTD basis. The QTD and MTD cash flow reports reflect the correct calculated movement of balance sheet accounts for the parent cash flow accounts, but still reflect YTD calculated movement for the base accounts. Any income statement accounts included in the cash flow reflect the correct YTD, QTD or MTD amounts for the parent cash flow and base accounts. OS Community - Does anyone have a similar cash flow report build including options to generate the report QTD or MTD and solved obtaining QTD or MTD balance sheet base account calculated movements?
We have several applications calling OneStream data adaptor via Rest API. Very frequently and randomly the connection fails with a 500 error. If we wait and retry the connection is successful. We have not been able to find the root cause. We observed that when the Rest API has 2 entries in the Log Activity table in OneStream the connection is successful. The screen shot is from the Logon Activity table in OneStream. Every so often the connection fails with a HTTP 500 Error and we observed that only one the set is entered in the table. Have any of you encountered this type of issue.
We are in the design and build phases of OneStream and it is really important to me that we get the foundation right and use OneStream the way it was intended to be used. What are the recommended design solutions in OneStream to enable users to quantify the FX translation impact separate from performance when comparing one period of time to another (e.g., YTD actuals versus budget or full year latest forecast versus full year budget). Hi HFM we do this through recalculation scenarios. For example, we have the following budget and forecast scenarios. 14 forecast scenarios - one for each month, one to recalculate the prior forecast at the most recent actual rates (used for comparisons against YTD and month actuals), one to recalculate prior forecast at the forecast rates (used for full year comparisons to prior forecast and full year budget). The latter two get overwritten every month with the latest previous forecast data and new rates. 3 budget scenarios - one
Could you please advise is it possible to generate and send direct link to certain cube view to recipient according to which he can open cube view (so that he doesn't have to search for a folder and cube view in this folder in OneStream)?
I have a cube view with 12 columns (one for each month). It is used in a quarterly activity, and the columns need to reflect the appropriate forecast scenario depending on which workflow was opened. (e.g. in June 2026, the cube view would have the 6+6 Forecast for Jul thru Dec). I've created the below BR to determine each forecast should be used, but now I'm unsure what I need to enter into the cube view scenario member filter for the columns to use this BR: Public Function OCF_FcstScenarioSelect(ByVal si As SessionInfo, ByVal api As Object, ByVal args As FinanceRulesArgs) As Object Try ' Workflow POV time (from workflow context) Dim wfTime As String = api.Workflow.Time.Name Dim wfPos As Integer = wfTime.IndexOf("M"c) Dim wfYear As Integer = CInt(wfTime.Substring(0, wfPos)) Dim wfMonth As Integer = CInt(wfTime.Substring(wfPos + 1)) &
I plan to register for the OCA(Implementation Foundations) exam. However, after I entered my credit card information, according to the registration guide, the page was supposed to be redirected to the MonitorEDU interface and then I could choose the exam time. But my interface didn't jump over, instead, it returned to the registration exam interface. I tried several times, and it was possible to register for other exams(for Example OCA R2) and succeeded, but only for the OCA exam, the registration failed. Does anyone know the reason?
I am looking for anyone with some experience with Dynamic Grids or are aware of any good documentation. There is very little in the OS documention beyond how to create the component and shell of a service. I am looking for any examples of how to actually create one. Right now I have a dynamic grid that produces nothing. It calles the WsasDynamicGrid class but I have no idea what to put in the functions. I think Dynamic Grids will be helpful in my usecase but can't get off the ground with a basic example to explore its possibilities. Thanks in advance.
Hi Team, I have attached CV in Data Adopter (Type "CubeViewMD"). in CV Time dim is at columns(T#YearPrior1(|CVTIme|).Quarters, T#Year(|CVTIme|).Quarters, T#YearNext1(|CVTIme|).Quarters) & Entity dim is at rows. (My CVTime = 2026M3). when i ran Cv i am getting 2025, 2026 & 2027 quarters. but when i ran the same CV through BiViewer time is not sorting properly. Can you please help us to resolve the issue.
Hello, I have a doubt about table view custom parameter. Let's say we have defined two parameters namely "Param_1" and "Param_2". the requirement is my "Param_2" values should be based on "Param_1" is it possible to achieve? When I select a Value in "Param_1" the available items in "Param_2" should change.
I am trying to share a Button component between two Workspaces and I'm having trouble. Both workspaces have the "Is Shareable Workspace" set as TRUE and I've also referenced the other Workspace within the "Shared Workspace Name" Workspace property. I am able to see parameters but I am not having luck when it comes to any other dashboard components. Is this even possible? Does this go against best practices when using Workspaces? A screenshot is attached for context.
We are converting from HFM to OneStream. We set up HFM so that expenses are reported as negative. My understanding is OneStream only reports/stores expenses as positive. Is this accurate?
Hi All, I'm currently working on a Cube View where I need to use a custom Business Rule function (CalculatePer) within a member filter for ColD. The goal is to calculate values dynamically based on inputs from ColA and ColB. To help illustrate, here’s a simplified version of the layout: Sample Cube View: ColAColBColCColD100150250?20-50-30?30030?03030? Column Definitions: ColA → T#|CVTime|:Name(XFBR(Fin_XFBR_Consolidations, GetLastDayOfMonth, Param_SelectMonth = |CVTime|)) ColB → T#YearPrior1(|CVYear|)M12 ColC → GetDataCell(CVC([ColA]) - CVC([ColB])) ColD → Intended to call a custom function using values from ColA and ColB. What’s Working: When I use the BR without parameters, it works fine: GetDataCell(BR#[Fin_GlobalHelper, CalculatePer]):Name(%) What’s Not Working: When I attempt to pass the values of ColA and ColB as parameters to the function, like this: GetDataCell(BR#[Fin_GlobalHelper, CalculatePer, A=GetDataCell(CVC([ColA])), B=GetDataCell(CVC([ColB]))]):Name(ColD) …it does not
Hello Team, Need solution on the Book Creation. I am trying to create only one Loop, with two combinations example (E#Abc:U2#Xyz) and the Loop Type I have used is Comma Separated List. In excel Export Item I have attached the CV also. Where it is not updated with my Entity and Customer, because I have passed them in the Loop Definition, together. While running the Book it is running at Top Level for both Entity and Customer. Instead of Abc & Xyz.
Hi All, good day; last week I created Book with a word document with XFCell function and working good showing the amounts, now the same document is just showing the XFCell funcion. I also started to use the alt text {XF}{Application}{CubeViewReport}{BS_Var} but nothing shows. Does anyone knows if I need to do something different? Thanks in advance and best Regards. Mario GV
We have XFDocs set up to open in Word. The text is Times New Roman, size 12. Some, not all, of the text shrinks to size 10 when the document is processed. I noticed that the text that resizes has a "Normal" style. The text that doesn't resize doesn't seem to have a style at all. If I copy the format of the non-styled text and paste it over the Normal style text, it won't resize when processed.Does anyone know more about this? Is there a way to prevent the resizing or set what "Normal" should process as in OneStream?Thank you.
Dear all, Could you please advise how to show content of certain Text field of Entity dimension in cube view?
Hi team,is there a way to get the children of a member above the its row with expandable and collapse option.I know we can use the TreeDescendantsInclusiveR but we are not able to have an option for expanding and collapsing the hierarchy for example I want the expandable option on BUYBCK_MGN with expanding above in the following image
Hi OneStream Team,I’m gathering insights on trend analysis capabilities across EPM platforms and would love to understand OneStream’s differentiators. Specifically:What capabilities does OneStream offer for trend analysis, such as predictive forecasting, scenario modeling, and visualization? How do these features compare to those offered by other EPM solutions like SAP, CCH Tagetik, and others in the market?Could you please share any relevant materials, documentation, or best-practice examples demonstrating OneStream’s approach to trend analysis? If you have comparative insights or vision statements (e.g., an “Art of the Possible” deck), that would be extremely helpful as well.I love the Genesis topics on this one, but I am looking for the official OneStream position.Cheers
