Originally posted by Fredrik Erlandsson Hi all, Does anyone know how to easily overview changes in the EntityDim in terms of Percent Consolidation and Percent Owenership between periods and years? Can this be extracted or built in a cube view? For example if i would like to get a snapshot of one hiearchy in the EntityDim including percent ownership for period 2020M10? Thanks, Fredrik

Originally posted by Mark Houghton Hi, I am trying to build a cubeview which will have one row of data which is the movement between two parameter driven periods. At present I have fixed it for testing purposes to be S#Actual:WF and S#Actual:T#WFPRIOR12. The syntax for the 'movement' I have used is GetDataCell(BWDiff(S#Actual,S#Actual:T#WFPRIOR12)):Name("B/W Diff on Yr values") Most of my columns reference single account codes. These ALL give me the correct result. However, where I have used a formula to calculate the sum of a range of account codes then it will not return the movement value. If I make it a 3 row cubeview, one each for current yr, prior yr and movement, then my values for the 'sum of range of accounts' is returning the correct values for current and prior year but returns blank for the movement. What is wrong with my syntax ? I tried switching rows and columns but that did not give me a different result either. Can someone suggest a better method OTHER than
Originally posted by Leyton de LangeHi All, I am using view member "VarianceExplanation" in a cube view for comments, and I have a question around how many characters can be used in the cell and also if there is a way to wrap text. The plan is to use this cube view in a dashboard. Thanks in advance

Originally posted by Clarke Hair Looking to start using the View txt fields (Annotation, Assumptions…) and understand that there is no natural way to have that information aggregated/consolidated up. I am told that a BR is needed to do this. Just checking to see if this is correct and if anybody has had success in this getting it to work. Ideal use would be for our regional leaders to be able to see summary comments on specific line items that we report on.
Originally posted by Jeff BorycI have cube views in an Excel document. When I am trying to create formulas to certain sections of the spreadsheet, it references table names. This makes it extremely cumbersome to build anything out because each cell needs to be setup individually. Turning off Excel references to tables does not fix the issue. I can delete the name references, but that makes the cube view un-refreshable. This pretty much makes cube views in Excel a non usable function. How do I fix this???
Originally posted by Heather Upton6/4/2019 is there way to create a report to show which users have modified Dimensions including when members have been moved?
Originally posted by Hans van der Kemp10/1/2019 We have a dashboard for seeding all required data from source to target scenario for a given range of periods. The "Select seeding process" cbx represents separate DM sequences, each with its own BR attached. The available source/target scenarios should ideally be based on the selected DM process. For example, if user wants to seed Actuals PxQ to FC, then the source should be only S#ActualMan and the target should be 1 of the 12 Forecast scenarios (S#Forecast_M9 etc). Currently they can select any source to seed to any target, independent of the selected DM process.

Originally posted by Patrick Victory Let's say we have ten thousand vendors in the source system. Most (~6k) of the vendors are minor and we don't need to maintain detail about them but we still need to load all of the data. We've built out the dimension to have our "important" vendors in the appropriate hierarchies but I'd like to map all other vendors to an "Other Vendors" member. The problem is that the only way I can think to do with transformation rules is create a 1:1 map for every vendor in the dimension (~4k rules) and then a final *:* to map the rest to Other. This seems like a really terrible solution; management would be a hassle and it just looks bad. I've tried to brainstorm around some kind of connector BR logic that uses a descendants function to return a list of all vendors in the dimension and then write logic based on that but I'm not exactly sure how to implement it and it would destroy the vendor IDs themselves so drilling back would be problematic. The other soluti
Originally posted by Craig Rowe 9/23/2020 I am working with Relational Blending and pulling data from Stage into a dashboard. I am trying to format the value of my data into currency. Originally posted by Cosimo Palmisano7/19/2018 I've got a SQL Table Editor component in a dashboard that queries an SQL View that outer joins two tables. The user can update some fields in a record within the SQL Table Editor component and when they hit save, I call a Dashboard Extender rule that processes the dirty records within the component. The rule starts off by creating an XFSqlTableEditorSaveDataTaskInfo object but not sure where to take it from here. There's the property XFSqlTableEditorSaveDataTaskInfo.EditedDataRows which I assume is a collection of dirty records from the Table component. I'd like to get the ModifiedDataRow values on fields that were updated in the table component so I can write them back to one of the source tables used in the SQL view. Anyone have an example on how to get the value from a modified field?
