How can I create a journal with an excel or csv document? 

Hello all, Hoping you may share some thoughts on this. For the workflow, we have created security groups : 1. for input users (WF_Preparer) assigned to the Workflow steps in the Workflow execution Group  2. review users (WF_Review) assigned on the Workflow profile in the Workflow execution Group and Certification Sign-off Group. The preparers and reviewer users are, of course, different. However, as mistakes can happen, is there any possibility to prevent an Admin to assign the same user in both groups? Can the system issue an error or a message when trying to add a user to one role if it already exists in the other? Thank you!      

I'm trying to add several non-financial accounts for metrics.  I've loaded my historical data in at periodic.  I want to be able to see the annual totals by account but instead T#2023 is showing me the December numbers and not the total.  What am I doing wrong?!

We use Text3 property of UD1 members to save Status of the member (member is a change request). We are having an issue with this approach. When we create a new member, we set its Text3 property for scenario type and Time to "Draft". If we change the value to some other status via rule or manually, it saves it fine. When we create a new member or update an existing UD1 member (any change in member properties) the value of all existing members reverts back to "Draft". Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue. We are using 7.2.4 version.

Hello, I just need help flipping a sign on a final report.  Here is the data: Here is the report (there is a negative sign in front of the number insert): And here is what my OneStream is showing: I went into transformation rules and flipped the sign on those 2 accounts, but that did not help: Does anyone have any suggestions? Hi, How does it work the C#Aggregated? What entity property does it take into account for aggregating? We are aggregating two different entity structures but we are not obtaining the same data. We have the same entities in both structures but one of the has duplicated two entities: - one of them aggregates OK. - the other, does not. Regards,

Hello, I have imported data from a csv file with unit price adjustments. Data is transformed to use the correct UD2, UD5 with One to one transformation. In some cases there should be a second data record created with a different UD2 and UD5, is it possible to do that with a complex expression, or should I make a calculation after import in business rule or with a member formula? kind regards Ben

Hi!    Ok here is my data:  Here is my data sources: Here is my application properties: If I have Global DataKey Scenario on for both Scenario and Time in Data Sources, why am I getting this error message: No valid DataKeys (Scenario / Time) found in data source. Review the source data load processing log and check one-to-one transformation rules to ensure that you have created proper Scenario and Time dimension rules for this data source When I try uploading? Does anyone know if I need a transformation rule and what that would be? Thank you!

Hi everyone, I have a question related to the upload of a new dimension hierarchy through an XML file. I currently have a file excel with the whole hierarchy for each dimension that I keep updating based on my client requests. I noticed that when I upload the file, the system merges the current version of the hierarchy with the previous one. This does not work for me because I would need the old hierarchy to be replaced by the new one.  A possible solution could be to manually delete the hierarchy members before the upload of the new hierarchy, but this would delete the data that has been loaded already. I would need a solution to just overwrite the current relationships between the members of the hierarchy without deleting them. Is there a way to do that? Thanks in advance!

Hi,   I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to configure my OneStream app against an azure AD. I have created an Azure AD and followed the steps that are in OS documentation. However when I try to login with my email which is configured against my Azure SSO I get a message "The external provider authentication provider settings in the XF Application Server Configuration file are invalid". My OS app is a local installation on my machine. Many thanks !

How do you add a data key to a OneStream application?

Hello, Here is an example of what we are trying. We have set the close dates and created a task in task manager which has a data management sequence as action and the start hour.  Does Task manager run the data management task as per the start hour given? The Auto execute option runs the task when the task is approved but we are trying to run the task at the scheduled time using task manager. Thanks in advance!

Hi OneStream Community - I'm trying to create a rule to apply a specific % to the base entities of a specific region. To keep it simple, say we have 5 regions and I want to create an account that takes their PBBIT and multiplies it by a % that is different for each region, and I want it to calculate it at the base entity level, of that region. Hello, Wondering if anyone knows how to set up dimensions in order to have the following requirement :  - Users with access to the cube Consolidation need access only to data from the dimension B - Users with access to the cube Accounting need access only to data from the dimension C - Users with access to the cube FP&A need both access to data from the dimensions B & C (dimension A) The following setup does not yet meet our needs :  Thanks for your help. Hello, You can add a sample file in OS for a delimited or fixed data source type.I cannot find where to find it in OS database in base64. I had a look at the [ParserLayouts] table, but i can now find anything more...Do you know where it is hiding?Thanks
