Source ID

How do you set up a source id on data?

I typically use a static value such as this example. You can also set it up to be a file name:

Is this necessary to run reports?

To what reports are you referring? If you mean cube views, no. But some standard application reports to group things by source ID.

I would just use a static value of "GL_Load" or "CentralLoad" or something rather than leave it blank.
