Hello, colleagues, Could you please advise am I right that when I create new user in OneStream application (and indicate his e-mail address in user profile), this user will not receive automatic e-mail notification about this?
Hello, everyone, Could you please advise if we will need for Budget scenario more detailed accounts, than for Actual scenario, am I right that it will be solved by the following way: Create second Accounts dimension Apply this new Account dimension to Budget scenario on tab Cube Dimensions in Cube Could you please also advise how to copy existing Account dimension members into new Account dimension (as the first step before members updating for Budget scenario)?
Dear User Community: My users have asked me what is the major difference between version 8.4 and soon to be released 8.5. Does anyone have an answer? Has anyone been part of the beta groups (guessing they have them)? Love to hear because we need to know if we should wait for 8.5. Thanks,SP
Hi All, I am trying to schedule a task in Task Scheduler to trigger a Data Management job every 180 minutes, starting at 02:50:00 AM and ending at 9:00 PM. However, when I attempt to set this up, I receive the following message. Is this a warning, or is it something that needs to be addressed in order to resolve the issue? Thank you for your assistance.
Hello,We've recently upgraded to OFC 8.4 and after this upgrade, underlying RCM table names have been updated. For ex - XFW_RCM_ReconItems is now updated as ReconItem.Earlier on OFC 8.2 , we were able to query this table using a data adapter as well as in Business rule (DBConnInfoApp) . But now it's not working anymore. Same issue is occurring for all other RCM related tables. It does work for other tables not related to OFC/RCM (for ex - Member). Are there any restrictions in OneStream to query certain application tables? Is there any workaround for this?Regards,GauravTable showing in Application Database: Giving error while querying from data adapter:
how can i change the Is IC account parameter to true from 2025? for historical data it should be false
Hi Everyone, I'm designing a form where I display accounts in rows and columns header like Beg Bal, End Bal, Variance, etc. In the rows, I've configured a member filter as follows, which pulls all accounts under the PREPAY hierarchy, but excludes A#150123: A#PREPAY.Base.Remove(150123):Name(|MFAccount| - |MFAccountDesc|) This works perfectly, as it displays all the accounts under the PREPAY hierarchy except A#150123. However, when I try to display the total, I encounter an issue. I'm using the following member filter to display the total, but it doesn't work: A#PREPAY.Remove(150123):Name(Total: Prepaid RF, net)orA#PREPAY.Remove(A#150123):Name(Total: Prepaid RF, net) As a workaround, I have displayed the accounts under PREPAY individually and used the following formula to display the total: Is there a simpler or more efficient way to achieve this without the workaround? TIA
Hi All, I need to access parameter A which is present outside default workspace in my cube view. |!A!| this doesnot work as it only pulls the parameters within default workspace.
I would like to apply a member filter on a scenario, which will return a list of a scenarios based on it's properties like Name, Description, WorkflowTime, WorkflowStartTime, and WorkflowEndTime...i.e. WorkflowTime = |someYear| or WorkflowStartTime = |someYear| or WorkflowEndTime = |someYear|I can do this S#Scenario.where(Name contains paramScenario) I can do this S#Scenario.where(Description contains paramDescription)I cannot do this S#Scenario.where(WorkflowTime = 2025)I cannot do this S#Scenario.where(WorkflowStartTime = 2025)I cannot do this S#Scenario.where(WorkflowEndTime = 2025)What am I missing?
Hi everyone, I am very much new to OneStream but i am not able to see any resources for learning about OneStream. Can someone guide my about finding the right sources for getting started and learn the basics of onestream
G'day, Pls share if there is an Excel template for Cubes like the Metadata Builder for Dims and Workflows. That will help us update OS Dimensions in many Data Cubes with various Scenario Types. TY.
Hello All,I want to use application reports Market place solution to get the journals for all workflow profiles. How to achieve this. Currently I get journals for only one workflow profile as per your select WF POV. Is there a way to get the journals for all workflow profiles as a report in one go.Thanks
Hi All I am upgrading the MarketPlace app Reporting Compliance (TCR) so that it has its own separate Workspace (V8.1). I have added the Business Rules as assembly files and they all work. The current environment (V6.8) has a Data Management job to run calculations so I am now adding a Data Management job to the WorkSpace Data Management Groups. The only problem is that when I add a step (type Execute Business Rule) to the Workspace Data Management Step, the drop down list only shows Business Rules in the general Business Rules area and not the file assembly area. How do I get the Workspace specific Business Rules in the Workspace specific Data Management Groups? Thanks
Hi all,Can we schedule a task to run on a business day each month, for example, between the 1st and 7th? I know we can set it for specific days and weeks, but is there a way to make it more dynamic?Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.Best,Jacky
How I can clear data in Orphans members before Deleting them permanently
Hi all, I'm trying to build a CV with Entities on rows and Scenarios on columns that will show the status of the cell with the help of a Dynamic Calc. Here's the aspect of the CV (Scenario and UD8 on columns): TEST is my dynamic calc (also crossed with V#Annotation so it can display text). As you can see, I can write on U8#None and yet the dynamic calc returns READ. Here's my code: Dim sEntName As String = api.Pov.Entity.Name Dim sScnName As String = api.Pov.Scenario.Name Dim sStatus As String = Api.Data.GetDataCell("Cb#CORP:E#" & sEntName & ":C#Local:S#" & sScnName & ":T#2018M1:V#YTD:A#ADDUG:F#None:O#Forms:I#None:U1#None:U2#None:U3#None:U4#None:U5#None:U6#None:U7#None:U8#None").CellStatus.ToString brapi.ErrorLog.LogMessage(si,"sStatus = " & sEntName & " - " & sScnName & " - " & sStatus) If sStatus.XFContainsIgnoreCase("WriteAccess: False") Then Return "READ" Else Return "WRITE" End If Here's the POV of the first cell (on E#3002:S#Actual): Cb#CO
Is there a way to determine the number of data cells by account-type dimension member? In our example, we are reviewing an implemented application with millions of ZeroData cells and are trying to identify which account formulas are producing the most zero data cells.System Diagnostics has a "Data Volume Stats" tab that lists data cell status counts (i.e., RealCellCount, ZeroCellCount, etc) by data unit. However, there does not appear to be any reports that display this information by account. Has anyone had success retrieving this information via a different application report or custom SQL query (against the application database)? This is probably unrealistic to retrieve (given the data volumes required), but maybe there is a way I haven't yet considered.
I am having to build a lot of alternate hierarchy for external reporting, so I am going and building relationships with our main hierarchy. The problem I am getting into is every time I search for an account (example), OS collapses the hierarchy path where I need to "paste relationship", so I have to reopen it every time, and with a few levels to open, it is getting incredibly tedious. Anyone knows how to stop OS from automatically collapsing hierarchies?
What is the best way to query the Security Roles and their assigned Security Groups in the Application. It would also be helpful to query security roles assigned to Workflows. Any ideas?? 😕 Thanks.
Hello,The client would like to view forecasted, budgeted and PY data based on a ratio that takes into account current day of the month for Periodic and YTD data.Below, is a functioning calc. Use Case: it is October 22nd, and the client is using daily uploads for Sales. To get a more accurate view of the Sales compared to the scenarios listed above, they want to multiply the monthly total by the factor relative to the day of the month. E.g. if Sales is 100,000 for the October budget (periodic), but it is October 22nd, we would multiply (100,000 by (22/31)), the cube view would show 70,967.74. The calculation in a UD8 member above represents this logic. The tragic flaw is that if view the data in YTD view, it takes the entirety of the YTD amount by that ratio, when I only want the current month to apply the ratio. What would be the best way to approach this? Ideas:Use a ratio that uses total days of year up to end of current periodE.g. In October 22nd, 295 total days have p
I have a Summary & Detailed Account dimension. The Detailed Account dimension extends from Summary dimension.Ex Account DimensionCash Summary A Detailed B Detailed C DetailedI have a Cube where I have set the Cube dimension Properties of a Scenario to use the Summary Account dimension. I was able to load the data at Cash account level as shown above. However when I retrieve the data with BalSheet.Base , OS still treats A,B,C as base member instead of Cash and show up no balances. When I specifically identify A#Cash I get the balances I loaded. Is this expected behavior that OS doesn't treat "Cash" as Base member from Summary Account Dimension? If so is there a solution to retrieve the Cash account as Base.ThanksManoj
Hello, We have a View Selection screen with users selecting the columns and the order they want to see as we have a total of 136 columns to choose from. This should happen on the 1st tab of the Dashboard. On the 2md tab the sql table editor has to show those columns and the order in which it has been chosen. Any insights on this would be appreciated. Thank You, Indu
Hi We are evaluating the SIC tool for integration and noticed that API keys and DB passwords are stored unencrypted in plain text files. This is becoming a huge security concern as this way of storing credentials is going to case sensitive data leaks. Not sure if this is already identified by any other client and if it is in the roadmap of fixes? Did any of the clients report this issue?ThanksVidya KadiyalaCN Rail
I am building parameter to pull user defined dimensions descriptions. Anyone knows where it stored in Database?
In dashboard grid layout . What does the value in column width represents? 1. * 2. Difference between auto and * ? 3. How is the scale of the width measurement ? what is the total width of the screen? 4. What does 2* means ?
