Replacing a data source defined static value with One-to-one and retransforming

We have added a new dimension and associated transformation rules. Previously this dimension we set to 'None' through a static value text definer from the Data Source.

I have removed this and now added the respective transformation rules needed, however when retransforming the data, this new UD is still defaulting and sitting as 'None'

Any ideas? Or do we need to remove all the data files themselves and reupload to update the mappings?

Since it is on the Data Source, the data will need to be re-imported. The re-transform only re-applies the transformation rules, but in your case you are changing the source value which. requires a re-import

I was thinking this is the case

Not ideal when we have over 1000 data files to individually load. Is there a workaround to get them 're-uploaded'?

It kinda sounds like your UD mapping is still not coming from source but is in fact based on other dimensions.. Is that the case? If so you should still be able to do it without re-importing the files.
