Workflow and Data Integration

I need to move some files around the various folders on our SFTP server and I am trying to do it via the Extender BR. Basically I need to move the files from the staging folder into various other folders based on the file names. The rule below compiles successfully. When executed, I get the exception on the second pass ("Chase" related) but no files are being moved anywhere. I am stumped at the moment and would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance. We have a form in our workflow for budgeting. Users have the option of interacting directly with the form or using a spreadsheet template we provided to update their values.  There are pre-seeded values in the cube. Users can then make adjustments to the amounts. When users are updating via the form, we are getting values replaced like we would want. However, when users interact with the form and update via our provided excel file, the amounts are getting appended to the original value. We can't seem to locate where this behavior is triggered on upload to form via Excel. Is there something in the VB we need to adjust, or is this a 'standard' behavior. The query from SAP is currently returning the negative sign in the last position of a cell.ex.  20.56- when it should be -20.56Is there an SAP function I can add to the SAP connector solution that would place the - in the first position and how would I achieve this in OneStream?

I am executing a Copy Data Management step which references a literal parameter (NOT in Default workspace) to get the scenario value. However, I am receiving an "Invalid Parameter" error when trying to use the parameter even though I confirmed the parameter is named correctly and has a value.  However, when I created the same parameter in the Default workspace, the Data Management step executed successfully.  In a Data Management step, is there a way to denote which workspace the parameter should be coming from? I tried something like: workspace_name.|!Scenario_parameter!| but no luck. Is there any documentation on this? 

We are looking to load data from a year-to-date (YTD) consolidated statement of subsidiaries. The statement is in matrix form, with accounts (both balance sheet and profit & loss) in rows and companies in columns. Each company has two sets of columns: one for financial results and one for eliminations. How can we set up the data source to read multiple companies' statements from one file? We would like to load eliminations to a separate origin (Elimination). How can we change the destination for the Elimination columns?  Also, how do we set up bypass row so that the load ignores headers and total rows? I noticed those rows can be identified by the Account column, where if the account is blank, then bypass. 

Hi Team,We have a client that upload excel templates using xfdrange into OneStream. They have different files per Business Unit (UD2). Two of the files run into the following intersection error during the validation step:All the other files are correct, however, when they upload these two files, all data intersections (from all other files) are suddenly also invalid intersections. For examples, the line listed here is not from either of the two files but from a seperate file that has no errors when uploaded individually). When you would navigate to "Intersection" instead of "invalid Intersection (1)" all data intersections from all files are there. Hi, I need to build some tables in the application database. I am using a extensibility rule with a StringBuilder and the BRAPi.Database.ExecuteActionQuery command to do that. The "Create table" command is working fine. Hi Everyone, Our business team would like to make it mandatory to attach a document to every journal entry.  I know this can be done via a confirmation rule.  However, one of our business partners googled this and AI returned the information in the screenshot below so they are questioning why we can't enable the setting referenced.  We can't find this in any of the OneStream documentation nor see it when creating new workflow forms or journal templates.  Is anyone familiar with this setting?  

To integrate with SAP using RFC will I need to configure a data source on the SIC gateway or will I just need to add the appropriate DLL's to the referenced assemblies folder?

I am the admin for the application. I dont find any button to closed/reopen workflow at v 8.4.1. BUT we do have a workflow closed without any reasons and I cannot reopen it.Anyone have any ideas on this? Thank you.

We're looking at creating an integration from Workday for automatic maintenance of our Entity dimension - including new member creation, hierarchy creation and movements, and text fields updates. Wondered if anyone else is doing something similar? Is it a complex integration, does it seem to work relatively seamlessly? Any best practices to share? Thanks in advance!  

Was asked to create a dashboard that gives the HQ admin the ability to lock and unlock Workflow profiles. Found bits and parts to use the user POV and descendants. Unlock descendants isn't working but.. Was looking at member tree and some of the other tree functionality, but couldn't get it to work for profiles. My thought is the profile hierarchy then they would select what to lock or unlock. Was curious if anyone had any recommendations or solutions they could share? Appreciate it in advance! 

I am trying to load stage data via Excel and having an issue I am not sure how to fix.  I am loading data, including for attribute values 1 and 2 (AV1# and AV2#).  However, if there is a zero in either AV1 or AV2 the row is suppressed, even if there is a non-zero value in the other attribute dimension.  Is there a way around this behavior with a special token I can add or some other change?

Hi all, I'm just trying to get a feel for how common this use of proxy members is these days.  I've worked for multiple organizations and typically, if we were planning at any level higher than the most granular level of data, we would plan a number representing a group of members, at some 'proxy' member created specifically for planning purposes.  That is, we would not use some random existing base member that held actuals. For example:If our dimension hierarchy looks like the one below and we were planning at the Region Level:I would not plan for the entire RegionA by loading my planning data to "South3".Instead, I would create a unique member (say, "RegionA_Plan") and load my data there.Wondering how many companies out there would use the first method rather than the second method and what advantage there would be to this?Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.RegionA     North        North1        North2  &n

Originally posted by Nick Tracyis there a way that a users can see when the last load for an entity is?  Is it possible to present that in a dashboard or a cube view (cubeview would be embedded in our various internal worksheets).   This is just so during our close process someone can know look at OneStream and know if they are using the most recent data.  Sometimes management updates the GL fast and furiously during the close and OneStream may not always reflect the GL.   I would like an easy way for a User to be able to easily view when the last load was.   An example was a User knows the GL had updates at 9:30 am, requests the system to be updated, at 10:00 they "think" it is and use old data while the Admin updates OneStream at 10:07 or something (some people are impatient).  I would like them to be able to see there hasn't been any new loads since their request and so they know they aren't using updated data.

Hi, I am working on an Import/Validate/Load step and built a Connector which gets data from an Application table and a Data source which use the said connector.The connector/Data source seem to work in the sense that that gets pulled in during the import step.However, when the import step is run I receive the following error: "Summary: Detail Cache summarization did not produce any Summary Data Rows." Does any of you know what could cause the issue and what the error message means?Thank you

I'm creating a business rule to automatically lock all workflows and descendants using:   BRApi.Workflow.Locking.LockWorkflowUnitDescendants(si, wfClusterPk, profileTypeFilter, workflowChannelKey) but I'm getting the error: 'the item was not found'. I found an example online but it's not working for me. I didn't know what to populate wfClusterPk with so I defined it as (). Hi, we have delimited data source implemented in application. In data source we have two additional rows on top and one empty row- file works fine but now we want to retrieve information("Chicago") from skipped row(number 2). It looks that OneStream read data starting from row number 5.  Could you please help me with understanding why these first rows were skipped? Thank you in advance.
