Hi,Can OneStream consume Json data (retrieved with a API from 3rd party system) or must it be converted? Thanks
We have several workflows that for audit backup we have the users attach documents. With employee turnover the next person didn't know they had to attach the document. Is there something like an After Event rule you can do to check that something was attached or in a confirmation step?
Hello, I am receiving the error "Entry with the same key already exists" when trying to load a xml through a workflow. I have checked all of the dimensions, transformation rules, data sources, etc. and am not finding any duplication. Looking online I see recommendations on other platforms where the issue relates to a ListDictionary and Add within the code where it tries to add something that may already exist? I am curious if anyone has ran across this issue and how you resolved it. Hi everyone! Quick question - I have a workflow profile which is used for the Actual scenario in order to post central overlay adjustments. This all works fine for our needs. However, when it comes to other scenarios like Budget, Forecast, etc, it's just not at all relevant and my hope is that I can simply switch off the whole workflow in certain scenarios. However I can't see a setting for this in workflow profiles. I can see I can easily make individual Forms and Import steps not appear according to scenario (in the "Profile Active" setting) but I can't see a way to switch off the entire workflow for any given scenario. PS - the idea is that someone doesn't have to click through a bunch of forms in the budget/forecast every time which will always have zero/nil entries in them. Let me know if you've got any ideas! Thanks,Richard
We are loading data using SQL connector business rule and it works fine manually. Now looking for a way to load it automatically using a extender business rule and then calling from DM step. All documentation in design ref guide point to using the following code. This works when loading from a file ( with specific file format) and the file needs to be in harvest folder. I can also make it work by keeping a file which is blank in the harvest folder and still executing the workflow using the connector BR. But is there a better method which does not involve a file. Dim batchInfo As WorkflowBatchFileCollection = BRAPi.Utilities.ExecuteFileHarvestBatch(si, scenario, timeperiod, valTransform, valIntersect, loadCube, processCube, confirm, autoCertify, False)
Hi, is there a way to present the "Cube Root Workflow Profile" description in the workflow selection window rather than the name. So in this Example below it would say Test rather than GolfStream? Thanks
Hey all, We are currently looking into BI Blend and use it for our Sensible Machine Learning solution that we are about to implement. The initial plan is to use two BI Blend instances one for historical data which is very detailed data with a long historical range. And a second for a more short term forecast period. Our ambition long term is to be able to use our Forecast BiBlend table data in our Planning process and our regular Cube and Scenario. Do anyone have a recommended approach to migrate data from BIBlend into cubes?
Hello, I was wondering if there's a way to dynamically load a flat file once per year for a specific month. We load data yearly for our CapEx Budget and was wondering if you can assign a static value such as |WFYear|M1? I tried it but failed so right now I just hard keyed it. Yes, I can put the time in the column the data I load comes in with no time period in the field because it's a YTD amount, but I just wanted to make it as dynamic and no chance for human error in it. Thanks, Will
Hi Everyone, Here's a (hopefully!) simple question to see if anyone has done this... I want a confirmation to run but only after T#2022M12 and onwards so that if a workflow was ever run in the past for some reason then this confirmation rule would not be triggered. I've played around with the Frequency Member Filter in confirmation rules but haven't got it to work. I want to to say something like: "Where Time > 2022M12" but obviously in the correct syntax. Is something like this possible? Thanks! Richard
Hello, I have a workflow step of type 'Workspace, Certify'. Through a workspace button, I am able to complete/revert the step. I am wondering If I can navigate to the 'Certify' window automatically upon completing workspace through a business rule, or we can only do so manually ?
Hi, We are using the Excel upload to load some data to OneStream. A problem arose when we found that even by locking the workflow it was possible to load data using Excel. Is it possible to prevent this behavior?
Hello Fellow OneStreamers, Please bear with the long post. I have the following workflow profile structure that contains Level 2 data unit overlap I am trying to change based on a financial planning requirement. The requirement comes in when an analyst reconfigures an hourly labor position in one of the assumption forms. A clear, retransform, load, and seed process should occur to align loaded data with the new configuration that will be used throughout the planning process for a particular position. The current workflow structure is a hinderance here because kicking off this process for a particular position retransforms and loads all entities which is much more data than needed. It also contains Level 2 data unit overlap because the same data unit is currently being loaded for the specified accounts within the current workflow profile structure. Our Current Production State: Base Input Workflow Structure Current State: Import Labor Data (Base Input Workflow Profile Step) Import Act
Hi; While trying to export TRX file from the transformation rule, the Visual Studio gets opened and it in turn gives an error message and I do not get an option to save it as a TRX file. Would anyone be able to give any suggestions to help. thanks Kumar
I have an Import Profile Type that includes a Workspace, Import, Validate, Process Workflow Name. The Workspace step uses a Dashboard that contains a SQL Table Editor component. The table does not allow updates. When I run the same Dashboard from the Dashboards editor it allows updates. I've also tried using a Forms Profile Type instead of an Import Profile Type and that allows updates too. It must be something with the Import Profile Typet that is preventing the updates. Is there a setting that I can change to allow updates in the Import Profile type?
Hi, I am using Derivative Rules in order to generate additional records in Stage. In this example, I have two derivative rules per I/C transaction. The account mappings will bypass the original source value and one condition will be met and therefore loaded to the cube. If the value is greater than 0, then the value will go to 40L1CA.001A_DER. If the value is less than 0, then it will go to 40L1CA.001L_DER. Derivative Rules: Account Mappings: IC Mapping: The value shown below is $224,469.18 therefore the rule is correct. However, the IC is this case is mapping to None. I was expecting IC to map to IC partner 170 based on the IC mapping shown above. How can I ensure that the IC partner is mapped correctly to the cube? I want to ultimately tie out IC matching report.
Hello, Is it possible to get the user who completed a 'Form Input' step in OneStream ? To clarify, I am able to do so for 'Import/Validate/Load' steps but I'm under the impression that it's impossible for Forms or Journals. Anyone with a similar experience ? Thanks Here goes my desperate attempt: Dim wfstatus As WorkflowInfo = BRApi.Workflow.Status.GetWorkflowStatus(si, mywfstep) Dim logusername as String = wfstatus.LastExecutedStep.StepLogItems(0).UserName ' (wfstatus.LastExecutedStep.StepLogItems is Nothing) = True
Hi Onestream expects,I have a .xlsx file located on my local system's C drive that needs to be moved to the Onestream Harvest folder in order to import it into the workflow. Kindly provide an Extender Business Rule code on this.It is really helpful to my requirement
Is there a way to log messages to the Error log within a Smart Integration Function that is running on the Local Gateway? I notice when a new SIF is created, none of the OneStream libraries are available. I did find an example where the OneStreamGatewayService library was included. Is there any documentation on this library? Thanks, Scott
I have a delimited data source as matrix data to fetch opening, debit and credit flows. The credit amount comes in as absolute, and I need to factor it with *-1, but opening and debit flows must remain unaltered. As I need the data for RCM, it needs to be converted in Stage so I cannot use a Composite TR to flip sign on A#*:F#Credit. Any recommendations on how I'd be able to achieve this in the data source?
Has anyone had success getting Journal audit data for changes to journals (not templates but journal entries)? I suspect they can simply be pulled from the AuditJournalHeader and AuditJournalLineItem tables but having issues. I only get one record in the Header table no matter how often I change a particular journal and nothing populates for the LineItem table. I feel like they are not completly working correctly or I don't understand fully how and what they are logging. I have tried to find a report in RPTA or other solution to see if I can figure out how its done but can't find anyting from OneStream for journal changes like there is for metadata changes. If anyone has tried to tackle this I would appreciate anything you can provide. Thanks in advance.
Currently, we have a manual process that involves a user running a Load and Transform that uses a data source with a DM Sequence as its source. That sequence uses the |WFScenario| parameter. This all works great until we try to schedule it. I pass the scenario and the time in with a parameter at the Sequence level. The first step takes this parameter (e.g., Scenario=BudgetFinal) and creates a trigger file in the Batch folder and runs ExecuteFileHarvestBatch. The correct workflow executes but appears to be pulling its data (via that first DM Sequence/Data Source using WFScenario) from my current, user WF/POV. I've tested this by navigating to correct WF/Scenario, then running the DM job I want to schedule and the data successfully imports. If I then navigate to a different scenario and run the same DM job again, the import fails with the error that there is no data. I would expect the WFScenario parameter to use the scenario of the WF that is specifically calling the parameter but that
I have a source file that will be updated/changed with the entities being loaded every time when it is loaded via a WF.In Order to preserve the balances of the Entities previously loaded I am thinking to have Source ID same as my Entity Name as I don't see any "Merge" Mode Load Option in WF. Is there any other way or better option to load files in Merge Mode.
I am creating a dashboard that has several sections. The middle section is a cube view and I need to add horizontal and vertical scroll bars. I looked at existing dashboards and can't find where the setting is. Could someone please advise where to change the settings. Thanks.
Dear community, I'm creating a very simple balanced journal template, with the exception that this journal will have to use "alternative input currency" flows. For that, I have set 2 flows like below : Input_USD : Input_CNY (chinese yuan): My journal is of "balanced" type. However, I have input done in both USD and Chinese Yuan and the Journal doesn't seem to care ? In the exemple below, I have 20 USD booked, and 20 CNY booked, and OneStream considers the journal posting as "balanced" : Am I missing something ? Regards,
Hi,We have a workflow as below - contains multiple 'Import' workflow profiles. We want to be able to lock 'IFRS16' without locking 'ImportAX', 'RevenueImport'. Lock after Certify is activated. When selecting IFRS16, Lock, all 'import' profiles are getting locked. Do we need Workflow Channels or split the Workflow and keep IFRS16 separate ? Thanks for your advice. HildeWhen selecting Lock with IFRS16 highlighted :
