Dear community members, I have a DM Export Sequence defined in a workspace. However, i am not able to save the data source after assigning the DM sequence to the Data Mgmt Settings:Data Export Sequence. While i am able to select the sequence, when i try to save i get this error message: And while the new workspaces are awesome i dont seem to be able to correctly interpret this helpful note in the design & Reference Guide. If OneStream lets me select my DM sequence, does that mean that my DM sequence follows these rules? I have a Non-Default Workspace and a DM Sequence Name. But alas ....We are on 8.2.2. Any tips or references to a solution that may already be here on community would be much appreciated.
Under Calculation Definitions, there are options to run a task for either Loaded entities or Assigned entities. 1. I am assuming that loaded entities stops to filter through only those entities that are part of the data load? Am I correct in this assumption? I saw nothing explicit in the documentation to that effect, but maybe I wasn't looking in the right place. 2. Has anyone ever tested to see what the performance impact of using loaded entities might be? Up to this point, I have only ever seen assigned entities in a workflow.
Hello, We've a requirement where based on certain condition, data source record needs to go to two or more targets. For example, we've expense amount in source data that needs to be go to different SG&A Category (like R&D, Marketing, etc) based on percentages. and these %s are different for different account. we've not used derivative or lookup transformation yet but it seems it can be achieved. i was going through the documentation but it is not very clear. Pls let me know if we're thinking in right direction or if you can help with some sample, would be really helpful
how can I solve this problem?
Hi all, I am importing an international TB from one of our affiliates, and there are local stat accounts included in their submission. I do not want these to be factored in the US GAAP TB file. They start with 9998*, so I tried a rule to report them as "0" instead. However, I really don't want rows of 0's. Is this something anyone has encountered before, and if so, could you assist me? Thank you!
Hi All, How can we map one source column (from our old EPM system) to two different dimensions in onestream (Flow and UD2) In this column we have for example acdclosing whichs need to be mapped to the flow dimension but acdCD needs to me mapped to the UD2. Thanks in advance for the help!
Workflow form has different scenarios Actual, forecast. I have created the step for Force Consolidate and Scenario Type filter is set to (ALL). when i complete the form only Actual Scenario will consolidate but not forecast scenario. i tried to add another step to consolidate forecast scenario but it didn't work. May i know how to set up for all scenarios to be consolidate at once.
Hi, Encountering the following error when attempting to drill back to the source system. Does anyone have any insights? Exception Type: XFExceptionThread Id: 330Message: Smart Integration Connector remote query failed.ORA-00936: missing expression
Hi Everyone, I've written a business rule that peforms a certain task when the process button is clicked in the workflow via the "No Calculate" function within the calculation definitions of the workflow profile (see reference (1) in the screenshot). Broadly speaking it works ok, however I intended for it to only be triggered when clicking process on the "top" node of the workflow (see reference (2) in the screenshot). In actual fact it's running when process button is clicked in any of child workflow step (eg. "Asset Movement" in the example here, see reference (3) in the screenshot). So my question is: can I have a business rule that is triggered by the No Calculate function but only in certain steps within the workflow? Or will it trigger wherever process is clicked? I had thought it would be possible because calculation definitions can be defined in each workflow step which is why I was surprised with the above. (By the way calculation definitions are blank in the "Asset Movement"
We have some bunch of Step in our Sequence that we are calling it from Workflow Process step and this whole process is taking more than 2 hour around 2.5 hour . The process status is getting failed if it's running more than 2 hour but the Sequences is still running , as our process step showing failed we can't certify the Workflow . can you please help if there is way to fix this .

Hi, I know I can choose on which server to run a data management sequence but setting it in its Application Servers property, or leave the property blank to let OneStream determine on which server to run it. However, when launching a data management sequence from a business rule, using the BRApi.Utilities.StartDataMgmtSequence() command for example, the Application Servers property seems to be ignored. Is this the expected behaviour? Is there any other way to force a data mgmt sequence to run on a specific server when called from a business rule? Thank you
How do i specify in a data management task to extract the data to the cube\scenario/workflow step folder and not the user's folder under file share.

The connectivity as such works as I tested the same through the Data Adapter in the Dashboards. I am able to retrieve data for the same query that I am using in the connector rule using this test method. The data structure type in the data source section in OneStream is setup as Matrix data as I need some of the column names to be mapped to the Accounts dimension members. When I run the data import from the workflow, I get the following error, No valid DataKeys (Scenario / Time) found in data source. Review the source data load processing log and check one-to-one transformation rules to ensure that you have created proper Scenario and Time dimension rules for this data source. All dimensions are mapped appropriately in the transformation rules. I am also using few attributes to import
What is the difference between WorkflowUnitClusterPk vs WorkflowUnitPk? When would you use one over the other? Thanks, Scott
Hi i now have access to Onestream Navigator and would like some recommendations of which courses to complete to get an understanding of how to extract data out of Onestream Does anybody have any courses that were done that would be of help
How to convert a MT940 bank file to CSV readable format for data load
Hi all, how do you run an aggregation, i.e. calculate the "Aggregated" member of the consolidation dimension, without running a consolidation? In particular, would it be possible to setup the Process step of a workflow profile so that it runs an aggregation (as opposed to a consolidation/force consolidation)? Thank you
I have an IsOptional=True direct connect Import/Validate/Load Workflow channel. I would like to be able to Complete this Workflow channel via the OS api without having to import/validate/load anything, the same as if someone selected the 'Complete Workflow' button just to the right of the 'Clear' button in OnePlace. Actually, I have a number of such workflows, some are only required for M12 and others are placeholders for data that is being copied directly into the cube from other non-linked cubes. I can complete/revert the Workflow channel if it is set to Workspace using BRApi.Workflow.Status.SetWorkflowStatus(). And I can revert Import/Validate/Load workflows with the SetWorkflowStatus() too, but I do not appear to be able to complete the WF unless I'm at the last step or advance the steps with SetWorkflowStatus(). The BRApi.Import.Process.* functions will advance me through the Import/Validate/Load steps, but I cannot see how to do so without the functions imp

Hi, I have a requirement to import a Cell Details CSV file into OS. My questions are as below: 1. Can we import a CSV file from Documents/Public/xyz folder to OneStream Cube? I tried it but it didn't worked. However, I was able to import the CSV from File Share folder. 2. To achieve above, I was trying to copy the CSV file from Documents/Public/xyz folder to File Share folder but I am getting an error "Part of the path cannot be found" (SRC Path: Documents/Public/xyz folder). Error: Here is the code to copy a CSV file from Documents/Public/xyz folder to File Share folder: If args.CustomCalculateArgs.FunctionName.XFEqualsIgnoreCase("Move_File_from_Public_to_FS_Folder") Dim configSettings As AppServerConfigSettings = AppServerConfig.GetSettings(si) Dim xfolderPath As String = FileShareFolderHelper.GetDataManagementExportUsernameFolderForApp( _ si,True, configsettings.fileShareRootFolder,si.AppToken.AppName) Dim DestinationPath As String = "Cell_Detail
Hey, So I am testing the Workflow Name "Central Import" since I recall it from Designing an application course. But I have a hard time understanding how to change status on the profiles after data have been loaded for the entity. This is my current setup: My regular "Import, Validate, Load" where I can load unassigned entities. Below is my "Central Import" Workflow step in another location with the assigned entity. And you can see that it is indication that data has been loaded through the "central" load step. However status is gray and wont change even if i certify central load step or the parent level. Or am I configuring this in the wrong way maybe? 🙂 Thx in advance
New to OS and I have requirement to automate fx rates in OS. Is it possible? We have FX repository in Oracle so, thinking to pull from there but not sure how can we load to central FX repository.
When loading data into OneStream, our longest workflow takes ~40 minutes to load. We would like to try to kick off the 5 direct connect loads within this workflow to start simultaneously instead of sequentially. Have any of you organized your loads similarly and do you have tips or recommendations please?
