Workflow and Data Integration

Hello,  I have created a Workflow Import Step for Year End Adjustments and I want this specific step to only show up for Month 12 in OnePlace. I don't want users to be able to see this step for every period. Is there a way to do this? Thanks,

I would like to see just the current form profile and related cubeview to be seen as "Required" option. I dont want to see this "Deprecated" options. Does anyone know how to change this? I couldn't find an option in the workflow profile.

Hi, I'm a little confused with a workflow security issue I have always assumed that locked and certified parents prevent the unlocking and modification of the workflow steps below it, however I have just tested and found this isn't the case. I have locked and certified a parent workflow, logged in with a test user that only has access to a single base entity but has the 'unlock workflow unit' security application security role and in my test I am able to unlock my base entity, make changes in forms and relock, all without disrupting the locked and certified status of the parent. Is that the expected functionality? Does anyone have a recommendation for updating the workflow unlocking so that it will only be allowed if the parent is also unlocked? In my first attempt at an eventhandler I ran into the issue that I couldn't access the locked/unlocked state of the parent workflow without the user also having access to the parent workflow

Hello, I am trying to pull data into OneStream from Snowflake using REST Api. Does anyone know how the entire process works and worked on it before .If anyone one can give a heads-up on this it would be of great help ,I have been going through few documents but not able to understand it up to the mark .If anyone has a business rule that I can use as reference and build my BR that is greatly appreciated.

Some users are facing issue when running a calculate in a specific form in OS. I attached the error log. We're not able to replicate the issue. We notice that around the time the issue occured the CPU usage was 14%. I don't know if there's any link. Can you, please, help ? Hi, I am trying to load data from file where amount should be calculated as prior period minus current period and loaded. I tried using derivative rule to setup current period equal to prior period and multiply by -1 as below but it is being assigned to prior month, it is taking the current month value as below and calculated as zero. Please help me how I can assigned prior month value to current month.   Thanks, Manju Komara

Hi All - explored other threads but could not find the right answer. Unsure if this should be one or two mappings and what type if they are a conditional rule or composite? If value at SourceAccount MAIN has a value of 1, then: Source should be SourceAccount A for Target Account A and Source should be SourceAccount B for Target Account B Otherwise, Source should be SourceAccount C for Target Account A, Source should be SourceAccount D for Target Account B Thanks!

I am trying to update StageSoureData table with member information during import step at BREventOperationType.Transformation.ParseAndTrans.WriteTransformedData event. Next when I go to validate step I am not seeing the updated data from StageSoureData table.Any idea from which table or cache the validate and intersect steps will get data?Thank you

We have come across an issue where a subledger has been loaded but is not picking up a singular item/line in the subledger. The item contains a number of commas and special characters in one of the text attribute columns, as do other items in the subledger, these other items load no problem. For additional context the item contains over 100 characters in this text attribute column, as do other items in the subledger, and although a character limit had been placed in the data source via complex expression all other items make it in except this item. Any thoughts would be great, Thanks!

When we use the "Import a TRX file into the selected group" icon, the .trx file keeps getting uploaded into the "one-to-one" type. How I upload my .trx file into the proper Type (i.e. Mask, List, Range, etc). Background: I extra a copy of an existing transformation mapping by going to a rules profile/group and clicking onto the "Export selected group to a TRX file" on the top of the page.  Once I edit a few mapping changes and save the file back as .trx, I attempt to upload this .trx file using the other icon, "Import a TRX file into the selected group".  However, each and every time I upload this file, it doesn't hit the right Type (i.e. Mask, etc).  I extract from a Mask, and attempt to upload into the Mask Type, but the file keeps on going into the "one-to-one" type.  There must be a change I need to make to the .trx file before uploading it, to allow the system to know to upload the file into the Mask type and not the one-to-one type?

Hi,   I have a WF where I dont want to have user load data through import. Only Forms and Adj. I could turn the profile Active to False.but the problem is  I have a historic WF where is an import level for this entity. I tried doing the  optional data load to True. when i am complete the Workflow for the Import step - I get a error saying import step doesnt have a datasource assigned- which is expected as I am not having a active TB load.   Any suggestion where I can complete the WF - Import step without really loading data?

Hi All,  We are using FdxExecuteDataUnit to export data to SQL tables for consumption by downstream systems. Is it safe to run FDX queries while consolidation/Data Loads is in progress ? Regards Sridhar

Hi All, We are facing an error "Unable to execute Business Rule 'BusinessRuleName'. Select a valid workflow, scenario and year, when executing step from PowerShell/REST API. We are passing the parameters using the option "CustomSubstVarsAsCommaSeparatedPairs". Please help if the execute step and the execute sequence works for business rules with parameters using Data Management api from PowerShell. Please help me with sample code. Thanks & Regards, Lova Ramisetti.

Hi there, I have a Workflow Import process that runs automatically via Task Scheduler. My question is, is there a way to capture the Invalid Intersections then send it via email? The idea is to get alerted via email without opening the application that the Validation failed. Regards Jesse

Hello Community - I am using multi select combo Box to pass periods selected by user back to business rules, receiving the selected periods in the BR but while executing getting error "Error processing Data Management Step".  Under Data Management I have set Time Filter as WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC=|!ml_WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC!| and  Parameters = WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC=[|!ml_WFTimeYear_CopyFAPC!|]. It looks like the Time Filter is not processing multiple periods from the Parameters, what is the correct way to pass these periods into the Time Filter under Data Units section. Thanks.

Hi Does anyone know where all of the below information is stored?    Thank you, Mikki

Hi,  I am trying to load a CSV file to OneStream through my Workflow. I have a few rows in my csv file where the IC column is empty. I am trying to map those IC lines to go in "None". How would you do this? I have tried through a one-to-one mapping; source: |null| and target: None, but it doesn't seem to be working. Thank you

Hello Everyone,I am having issues retaining the previously selected parameter value in the dashboard, which is linked to a button component. I have a dashboard that has a parameter to pick an entity, and this parameter is attached to a button component in the dashboard. Let's say I run the dashboard and pick an entity X from the button for the first time. If I try to open the same dashboard again and again, the same entity X gets displayed by default, which is expected. Now the problem is when I attach this dashboard to a workflow. From WorkFLow, the entity that I picked for the first time in Dashboard is not getting retained when I open the same dashboard multiple times from through WorkFlow. Is this behavior expected, or am I missing something here? It would be great if anyone could help here. Thanks, Balaji V

Originally posted by Rich House4/22/2020 Hi, I have a query I'd like to solve. I have a data source where the Entity and UD5 are in general driven from the same column ""Profit Center"", column 6, in a delimited file. However there are instances when the ""Profit Center"" column is BLANK. Is it possible for those instances to use a different column i.e. use the ""Company Code"" column 1. If its possible, what is the best approach? Or perhaps, can I populate ""Profit Center"" with the ""company code""? I could then use 100 and 600 in my transformation rule

Hello there, In an Import WF profile, I would like to duplicate all rows where the UD3 member is different than None. In the duplicated row, I need to change the UD3 POV to 'None' I know this can be done easily through 'Derivative Rules', however I am trying to do so in the Data Source through a 'Complex Expression' or 'Business Rule'. PS: This is bad practice since source data should NOT be altered to keep Audit trails, but in my case I am just exploring possible options

To be able to use them in Task Scheduler, you must organize your DataManagement Steps into Sequences. Question Credit: Jack Lacava Is this statement fact or fiction? Comment your best guess below! How do we delete the seeding data for a specific entity and month without an import workflow or resetting the whole scenario?

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with the Harvest directory. Indeed, I have two batches running at the same time and which retrieve files from an SFTP to put them in the Harvest directory in order to load them into the WF corresponding to each file, for this I use this line coded :Dim batchInfo As WorkflowBatchFileCollection = BRApi.Utilities.ExecuteFileHarvestBatch(si, fixedScenario, systemTime, valTransform, valIntersect, loadCube, processCube, confirm, autoCertify, False) But with this line I do not filter the files present in Harvest. Is there a way to filter by file name inside Harvest which seems to be common and mandatory? Thank you for your help
