Hi!

This is my first time posting but we’ve had multiple users trying to copy tabs that have quickviews to another file while keeping the connection instead of rebuilding. Is this possible? Thanks!

Hi Kevin,
Yes, here are the instructions we provide to users:

Users can copy Quick Views from one excel file to another. To do this, from an active QV click on the drop down next to Quick Views in the OneStream XF excel ribbon and select “Create Copy of Selected Quick View”. Include the file name and sheet name in the “Refers To” block as follows then click ok:

=[name.xlsx]Sheet1!CellAddress
Example:
=[qvcopytest.xlsx]Sheet1!$A$1

Be sure to use the correct syntax with single apostrophes if there are spaces in the destination’s tab name. No changes for spaces in file name. Example: =[Test file.xlsx]‘Test Tab’!$A$1

Hi Kevin,
Welcome! You can also copy from tab to tab without the bracketed file name. Enjoy!
