Hello! Does anyone have experience reporting across two applications in the same environment? I've been in touch with OS support who's still working on it but wanted to pose this to the larger customer/consultant community to see if there were any options or solutions out there already being used. Thanks!

Hi all, We are trying to import an excel report into powerpoint. This works fine. However, there is an issue with the borders that are appearing in the picture, as the picture does not seem to fill out the picture that is inside the powerpoint. Is there anything we can do to remove these borders in the picture? Please see an example: Named range in Excel: How it appears in the powerpoint picture (I highlighted the red) Ideally we would not have the white spaces in the picture. Any idea on which options could be used to stear this? With kind regards, Tim

Do the OneStream Excel VBA functions return a value that can be used to determine success or failure? For example, I am loading data to a cube using a sheet with a number of XFSetCell() formulas and then using the VBA function RefreshXFFunctionsForActiveWorksheet() in a module to load this data: Call ExecuteXFFunction("RefreshActiveSheetXF") ........ Public Sub ExecuteXFFunction(XFFunction As String) ' This executes whatever XF functions are defined on the active worksheet. The active worksheet needs to be set before calling this function Set xfAddIn = Application.COMAddIns("OneStreamExcelAddIn") If Not xfAddIn Is Nothing And Not xfAddIn.Object Is Nothing Then Select Case XFFunction Case "RefreshActiveSheetXF" Call xfAddIn.Object.RefreshXFFunctionsForActiveWorksheet Case "RefreshActiveSheetQV" Cal
Hi !I have a SQL table available where I wanted to show a radar graph based on its data.It turns out that BI Viewer is not providing radar or spider graphs, so I wanted to know how to have such graph based on a data table and not a cube view. BAsed on what I've seen, the Advanced Charts allows to work with cube views or business rules only. Does someone have a business rule in order to extract data from my SQL data table and have it as a source of the graph ? Regards,
Hello, I am building the Cube View. As you can see below, I have Quarters in columns and now I want to add new rows for Qtr growth. How to achieve the formula for Quartly growth? Hello, I'm having an issue with some custom logos not being pushed to books when being exported as a pdf. I'm using a cube view extender business rule to point to a particular file path depending on the entity that selected. Although this is working when I export from a cube view directly, I get a strange white box with a red x through it and no data populating when trying to export the same cube view as a book. Has anyone experienced something like this? You'll see an example of it working and not working below: Working: Not Working:
Hi All, Is it possible to block a specific column of commentary for input in a cubeview? Our customer has a requirement to enter commentary on different levels (local, regional, global), but when for example global is entering a comment, they should be able to see the regional commentary, but not adjust it. Is this possible? In the design and reference guide it states that even if allow input is set to false, the update of V#Annotation is possible. Is there a workaround for this? With kind regards, Tim Vierhout
I have a cube view set up with only Account in the rows that I am using the expansion as follows: A#PAT.TreeDescendantsInclusiveR I would expect this to display as collapsed with PAT showing and the ability to expand the accounts shown, through the account hierarchy using the + buttons and - buttons to hide. Screenshot of actual behavior shown. Is this a different setting? Am I using the wrong member expansion?
Hi All, I've prepared a large report on Excel that contains over 30 tabs and all pulling data from OS using XFGetCell formulae. However, recently the issue we are having is that when we "Refresh Workbook" the formulae disappear for the entire workbook and Excel shows the numbers as plain numbers/values without any XFGetCell formulae. Has anyone experienced this and is there any potential solution we can try? Thanks
Is there a way to institute a percentage threshold on variance columns for cube views? For example, Month over Month variance to be capped at 100%, if it is over 100%, then show a blank.
Anyone know why this message appears and how to get rid of it?
Hi, We are getting this error when running a report book through OnePlace -> documents by double -clicking it. "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host (Socket Error Number 10054)" The report book has a simple dashboard in it. Note that a report book with a Cube View in it runs correctly. It may be something to do with saving the file temporarily to the file share. Note that we are getting this error on both on-premise and cloud environments. Just wondering if anyone has come across this before. Thanks
What do I need to add to our book settings in order to get the file to export with variables within the filename? For example, I'd like our consolidated financial book to save as the time defined in the parameter as "2022M10 Financial Statements.pdf."
Trying to ensure my signs are flipping when looking at variances for revenue vs. expenses. Does anyone know the syntax to add a conditional aggregation weight to a reporting variance (UD8) dynamic calc?
I have a report where the row headers are placed in the center of the report. I was able to get this to work when exported to the report version as shown below. Is there any way to get this to display in the excel version and data explorer as well?
Hi there! The cube view report Paper is configured as A4, Auto Fit Number of Pages Wide as "0". When printed, the report appears on 2 pages. The target is to autofit all of these 2 pages´ content into 1. How should we proceed in order to get it? Thanks! Regards,
Hello, We are pulling in a table view into excel and it is bringing up a timeout error. The error says: Table View size exceeds the memory allocated. We are able to run this in OneStream through a dashboard and see that what we are testing with returns ~169k rows of data. We believe it is due to a connection timeout between excel and OneStream. Has anyone found a solution for increasing the timeout connection or another way stop the timeout from happening? We already increased the time out directly in OneStream, but that did not resolve the issue within excel. Thank you, AJ
We have a user that runs a number of books whose Excel results contain dozens of sheets in a single Excel workbook. The user is asking whether it is possible to create a 'Table of Contents" cube view that will show up at the beginning of the Workbook and contain hyperlinks to each sheet in the workbook. This would allow all users who reference this workbook to more easily scroll to the particular sheets of interests. Does anyone know if this is even possible?
We have a CubeView that is setup with the Accounts in the Rows as A#NetIncome.TreeDescendantsInclusive. Our Expansion setting is set to Collapse All. Is there a way to have it only expand one level (e.g. Children) when the cube view renders, with the (+) icon to expand further if the user decides? Right now the expansion option seems binary as Collapse All or Expand All.
