Hi folks: I am searching for suggestions to improve reporting performance in dashboards. We have a couple of simple, executive dashboards that consist of 5-10 tabs of cube views. These work great for managing a common set of reports for end users.  Parameters are managed within the dashboard and persist when switching cube views (tabs); all that works great. However, users complain that it is slow to switch between cube views (tabs).  It appears that each cube view is re-run when switching tabs rather than simply displaying the data that was previously refreshed.  While most reports take <2 seconds to run, a few can take in the 8-15 second range which is deemed unacceptable. Are there any methods (formal or hacked together) for caching cube view results so that switching tabs simply displays already refreshed data rather than re-running the cube view? Thanks,   -db

Hi, I have Dashboard with tabbed embedded reports. for example, MainDashboard - Tab1, Tab2, Tab3. Everything works fine when the user clicks on Tab of their choice for the fiscal year 2026.  For Historical data I would like to show the same report for with changed tab. for example, MainDashboard - Tab1, Tab2, Tab4 for the he fiscal year 2025. If the user changes the Scenario from 2026 to 2025 or vice versa the dashboard report tab3/tab4 shows/hide based on FY. How can I achieve at the workflow level?  Any help will be appreciated. Hello,  I wanted to post this here since this came up at the Wave Conference in Vegas last week. Below is a snippet you can leverage to pull data from another application via a UD8 dynamic calc. This approach uses the CreateSessionInfoForAnotherApp BRApi to create a session in another application with the current user's credentials which ultimately enables you to execute any BRApi function (such as the GetDataCellUsingMemberScript BRApi) against another application in the same environment. Hi,How can I store data in a cube view cell that comes from a business rule linked via a DM stepI want this cell to become 75, if I input 50 on the white cell.Is this related to a cube view property or a business rule? 

Hello everyone, I'm trying to create my first import from scratch. Unfortunately, it always gives me the same error : No valid DataKeys (Scenario / Time) found in data source. Review the source data load processing log and check one-to-one transformation rules to ensure that you have created proper Scenario and Time dimension rules for this data source. And no line is imported or displayed in the logs.However, I've gone down each parameter and everything seems correct and consistent with what I have on other import files. Could you help me investigate? My settings : All the UD1 to UD8 are on None. And the log :  

Hi, I have a cube view with a straightforward requirement. Below is an example of my requirements using the Golfstream app.  My rows are set as follows: Member filter 1: U2#Clubs.ChildrenInclusive:name(UD2: |MFUD2Desc|) Member filter 2: T#2011Q1.ChildrenInclusive:name(Time: |MFTime|, UD2: |MFUD2Desc| The below screenshot shows what this returns. The issue is that I need to reference the member filter 1 member from member filter 2. When I use |MFUD2| from member filter 2, it reverts to my top UD2 member rather than reading my UD2 member from member filter 1.  I need this to do a more complicated loop through members, and that loop must take the row's UD2 member into account. Any advice or workarounds? User-created parameters and |CVUD2| do not return what I need.  

I cannot find any setting for moveable splits in dashboard layout or advanced dashboard layout.  Is it not possible in Genesis?  Does it means I should just create the dashboard in the client first and then link it into Genesis?

Hi everyone,We are currently developing a planning solution in OneStream for a client who has requested that the Cost Center dimension (and its related nodes) be updateable every year, while still maintaining full retroactivity when users need to view reports for prior years.We have considered two possible approaches:OPTION 1Each year, load a new Cost Center hierarchy associated only with that specific year. I am here with one of my typical requests to see if anyone has (SQL query) code I can borrow 🙂 We had an issue with two users who discovered how to submit data through Excel and circumvent the workflow forms.  As a result they are inputting data to intersections where we do not want forecast data. I would like to have a dashboard I can run where I can select a specific scenario and it will return a list of intersections that were modified through an Excel submit.  Or just a list of users and then I can run the ONC application report User Data Entry Detail to get the details of the intersections. I know the data lives in a table somewhere but I am not sure the table name and the fields to filter on and return. In the ONC User Data Entry Detail report I am able to select a scenario, WF time and user name and can see data they changed via forms and data that was changed via Excel.  But, there is no option to see all Excel edits for all users and I am trying to catch the ru

This is a problem I run into off and on that's always been annoying but easy enough to work around... until now. When working in a QuickView, for example, I click on the Up Arrow (for Parents) and I get all parents, not just the parent in the hierarchy I'm actually working with. In the most literal interpretation, I can see why this happens. In principle, I think I ought to be able to control this behavior either by the Parent filter or through the addition of a field that lets me choose my current hierarchy. But, in a QuickView, I'm working with one member at a time so it's not the end of the world to just remove the irrelevant parents and maybe do a little manual editing of the member filter if it gets too messy and I really want to keep the QV for future use. The problem comes when using the Grid View set to Display Parent Child Relationships with a member filter to display the descendants within a key hierarchy. Hi all, I'm currently exploring ways to extract data from a Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse into OneStream. The obvious way would be to connect to the SQL endpoint just like any other DB. In this case, what would be the best authentication method? I've been testing it out with my own user on MS SQL Server Management Studio using MFA, and I have no idea what the best way would be to create credentials for the connection string in OneStream. In case connecting to the SQL endpoint with a connection string isn't a good idea, what would be a better practice? Thanks.

Hi all,so I'm running a Finance Business Rule through BRApi's ExecuteCustomCalculateBusinessRule method, passing a POV through its nameValuePairs parameter.Since I need to run it from a WorkSpace for a bunch of different DataUnitPK, I'd like to run them in parallel. Unfortunately it doesn't work. It seems to me that:The first launch runs with a POV passed in parameters (let's call it POV-A)The second launch sets its own POV (let's call it POV-B)if the first launch is still running - and that's natural for parallel execution - every reference to api object seems broken, since it refers now to POV-BDoes someone was able to parallelize the above mentioned method ?Thanks in advance for Your help RegardsFabioG

I've been working on getting up to speed with the various Genesis content blocks and am having trouble with the Cube View With Drill block. When I try to select a cube view, the tree view only goes down to the Cube View Group level, not the Cube View level. I was able to tweak a business rule to allow it to select a specific cube view, but then the drill doesn't appear to work when I select a cell to see the details. I'm certain there is data that can be drilled down to, but nothing changes when I click various cells. I've even tried setting the cube view to show a base-level intersection and confirmed that I can see a number that is the same in stage. Anyone seen this issue yet or have any troubleshooting tips?  

I have created a cv with comments for comments input and review.The comments are saved and viewed with success but I am missing the red flag on the cell where there is comment in the cells.  See below. According to feature video for cv with comment, there should be a red flag see below screenshot: What could be the reason it is missing?

Hi everyone,I have two attribute dimensions in my model that I use to filter Cost Centers by Region and Line of Business.The issue is that when I try to drill down on those cells to reach the Stage data using “Load Results for Imported Cells”, I’m not able to get to the maximum level of detail.I assume this happens because the system is filtering by attribute members, which do not exist in the Stage tables.Has anyone experienced something similar or found a solution/workaround for this?Thanks in advance!

Hello,I would like to align vertically and horizontally the text on my column header (in Cube Views and Reports).It seems there is no option to do that in the format parameters (only in Excel).I have tried to use an inline Formula, at least for the Report format, but it is not working. In the basic dashboard courses, there are documentation suggesting the recommended naming conventions for the workspaces, maintenance unit and the respectives sub folders.  But in Genesis, I cannot find any.  I wish to get some idea for it for better structure and administering before starting using Genesis in our application.

Hello Everyone,I created a pie chart using the BI Viewer in OneStream.The chart displays correctly when viewed directly in BI Viewer. However, once I add the pie chart to a dashboard, the labels are not fully displayed as expected.Has anyone experienced the same issue?Is this a known limitation when embedding BI Viewer components into dashboards? Is there a setting I might be missing? Do you know of any workaround to force labels to display properly?Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!
